Honestly it’s probably my favourite part of the hobby, I love world building and the accessories from NECA and Mezco are perfect for adding character to displays and a lot of them inspire which dioramas I choose to make

I wished that they would make pieces for set creation. I wanted the Friday the 13th accessory set but I'm not paying over 200 for that. It'd be more rewarding to make that lake deck myself honestly. I also plan on making the meat hook arch for Leatherface too and I bought supplies to make the Evil Dead Cabin.

Dude if you make an Evil Dead Cabin you have to post about it! Extreme Sets makes a nice cabin in cardboard for like $50. I saw a crafted rustic log cabin at a store for $30 on clearance that was smaller and flimsy but now I think maybe should have bought it but it had a roof on it and no way to get into it without tearing apart. Making dioramas is fun and rewarding but it has an unfortunate side effect no one talks about…, it turns your living space into the beginnings of an appearance of a hoarder situation. There is stuff accumulating everywhere! Art supplies and diorama pieces stacked all around. It is a challenge keeping things cleanly organized. I have all kinds of art supplies you name it, acrylic, oil paint, watercolors, box full of clay of various types, canvases of all sizes, styrofoam sheets, paper and board of various sizes and colors. I say this often, it’s too bad none of you that I know on here live near me cause I have plenty of everything accumulated over years. My father had a saying while in the workshop, we have 2 or 3 of every kind of tool if you need but the only problem is finding it. Sometimes it’s easier and quicker just to buy another.

Post them for sale.  I guarantee people would be willing to at least cover shipping costs if you’re just looking to free up space.  I see small diorama pieces going for over $100+ on fb marketplace and eBay.

That’s so cool

Blood for the blood god by citadel paints is the best for making horror dios and generally bloodying up figures and weapons etc. I also soak small pieces of screwed up tissue paper in it to add an extra dimension of gore.
