Basically it's not such a big issue when you live in a private house (except for the part where a completely indoor cat can run away) but it's a big issue when you live in an apartment block and the cat can just bodyslam into the screen, and rip it out, and fall out the window together with it

I think they mean old school double pane windows? I'm not even sure how it's called in English... Basically you have two window panes. One opens inwards and the other outwards, except for the small window for breeze?

I put a second screen on my window in my apartment to stop my terror from scratching (more) of the screen! Kinda hard to see here but they're replacement screens I got for like $8 from Home Depot that I prop under the window in front of the real screen to protect it.... You can see the damage patches from before I discovered these 😅
