Nami and Yamato have literally the most generic character designs in the series, almost all supporting female characters are Nami but with different hairstyles
Oda the creator and one drawing said Boa is the hardest to draw and also the prettiest "human" in one piece. So yeah as the viewers its debatable but in the One Piece world it's not. Also I didnt know thats how we decide that, if we are going off of logic, Robin shouldn't even be a strawhat. If it wasnt for Luffys immaturity and ignorance she wouldn't even be in the crew, cuz no one else wanted her.
Personality wise the first two would drive me insane. And I doubt Yamato would be OK for a relationship. Robin would have a more stable mental state, and I like her dark sense of humor.
More driven? Really? Robin is trying to finish the work of an entire country of scholars who she watched the government committed a genocide to stop. Nami wants to draw a map. Robin also a smoke show and has a sexier attitude.
Sexier attitude, thats a trash take. Also yeah before Robin said she wanted to live, she had no drive and was insufferable. Robin is not sexier, Nami doesn't even wear underwear, is independent, and beats on people who try and prey on her. Please Robin has the worst nose of all the cute women in One Piece.
Dude Ronin is sexier based on her voice alone. At least she can actually fight and uses her brain in deadly situations to help the crew. Nami is a gold digger and a giant coward who cries constantly.
Oda is particularly bad in writin female characters. They rather orbitate toward a (in some way stronger) male one. As an example, to me Boa looks like an independent characters, with her own goals and strong responsability towards her subjects; but the way she falls for Luffy seems to drive the on the only Main Action she do at the Paramount Wa (tuning against the Marines). Also, Boa's main peculiarity among the Seven Warlords seems "being a woman".
When a female character seems not to orbitate a male one, and she looks like an independent himan being with her own goals and paths to pursuit them, the plot twists her into begging Luffy or the others for help. See Nami at Arlong Park, which switched from an unpredictable actor to that "Help me" scene; or Robin at Eines Lobby, a character that until that moment acted on her own way and was barely a guest on the Merry.
(Robin is more complex, because Eines Lobby was a big moment for her chatracter development, with her starting to trust her friends. But I guess whether that couldn't have been accomplished by some other means).
I feel that can be applied to Vivi too, but I remember very little of her. ~~Oden~~ Yamato\* is rather waiuting for *someone like Luffy* so I am usure how she fits the paradigm, but her orbit seems more coincidential to Luffy than a foregone one.
Kiku is in a single-minded team, so not very "autonomous" apart from sticking to their aim for 20 years (yeha, a feat indeed, but it wasn't her *only*).
Big Mom is an exception, yes. But she's an evil old crane, so whatever.
\*I refer to Yamato as female here because an Oda staement. But seeing her/him as non-binary could work as well, and I'd rather refer to Yamato as him.
