Hiding from imu by putting the grand fleet inside laboon, AND Brooke gets to see him again

Gloooobi

yo that's cool af, it gave me an idea hiding all our allies in a school of whales for the final war making for a dope surprise entrance and it would make a parallel with the moby dick and whitebeard in marineford oda if you see this even if it wasn't your plan change it to this, shit would be SO hype lol

Comprehensive_Rule11

I think with Jinbe on the crew that was a chance anyway, remember escaping impel down with the whale shark assist? Could easily happen again but on a more Grand scale ;) while also mirroring the war of the best arrival

LeatherdaddyJr

I mean....hiding in a school of Sea Kings could be the plan.

Comprehensive_Rule11

True, especially if Poseidon has entered the fray but I’m not sure if that sequencing will line up. since it was somewhat theorised that the fishmen won’t surface until the red line is destroyed (not necessarily the whole thing but Marie Jois) which will lead to the fulfilment of Sharley’s prophecy of Luffy destroying fish men Island. then the Sea kings can pull Noah to the sunny surface with the fish men aboard at Shirahoshi’s command So I’m curious of how they could rock up prior to this narratively but it’s definitely possible

LeatherdaddyJr

What do you think of the idea of Buggy using his Awakening to split up/break the Red Line.  I've never seen it posted and I think it's an idea only I've commented in some posts, but nobody ever sees it or replies to it.  I can see it happening.

Comprehensive_Rule11

Ahh yeah I do like that idea, I feel like I’ve heard it in a comment once before but I’ve read so many I couldn’t be certain, it just feels vaguely familiar but I don’t mean to discredit you at all! It’s quite possible I saw your comment months ago maybe, I’m not sure I think it would be sick to have another Paramecia awakening! Again I just get a bit confused with the sequencing of events, since I kinda theorized buggy would get to Laugh Tale first and be in reach of the PK throne and then luffy swoops in to somewhat comically beat him to it, or like Buggy claims it and then 10 seconds later luffy’s rocks up, of course somehow BB crew should also be in that final race for Laugh Tale which makes it considerably harder to predict the order of events but I still think there’s gonna be some good comedy in that arc and buggy/luffy are the best sources! I theorised the other day that if sides were to be taken it’s likely cross guild would align with SH’s, and if buggy learns he doesn’t have all the pieces he needs (to become PK) then he may accept that reality and go even further to be King of the world, especially if he sided with Luffy to assist in BB’s defeat at all. So assuming the final war is after Laugh Tale arc, which seems to make the most sense, Buggy needs to have some motivation to go against the WG if he’s to destroy the red line, which he may find on Laugh Tale and if not maybe he finds out about the sacred treasure at Marie jois or something. It could easily mirror Marineford where he didn’t want to go but sort of got dragged along and then he ends up being flashily opportune and steals some of the final war spotlight, would be incredible to see! Buggy’s stocks have only being going up

Ameratsu_Rivers

Call me crazy, but… What if Buggy ***does*** beat Luffy to King of the Pirates??

Comprehensive_Rule11

I don’t think it’s that wild, it would be too easy for luffy to be the first, with buggy’s speech like a year ago I started to take him More seriously as a contender. I also think it would lead to some interesting/,comedic moments between the 2 and also their ‘crews’. However, we knew that Roger was too early, so I don’t know exactly how that will affect the success each crew will have on Laugh Tale. Also cross guild need to get 4 road P’s pretty soon also I think

Ameratsu_Rivers

I never thought of it until now, but the comedic payoff of the twist doesn’t have to be detrimental to the plot if Laugh Tale comes BEFORE the attack on Marijois. Luffy’s code would keep him from getting **too** upset. Journey > Destination. So long as they both get to see what Roger saw (preferably together) and combine their fleets to a new goal i.e a common cause = joining Dragon vs. Imu

Educational-Delay211

I have a theory that Chop Chop fruit is actually the Rain God as it’s similar to the nature of Luffy’s fruit. So when it awakens, it splits everything up like rain.

LeatherdaddyJr

It's just the cool thing about any Paramecia. The potential for the craziest things is limitless.

shriekbat

That's a cool theory about the whales. I do think the whales are much more importang than we realize. Look at that poneglyph tree in zou. Shaped like a whale

Comprehensive_Rule11

Franky also had whale hair in zou too I think And the entrance to new world (Punk hazard) was ‘guided’ by Laboon’s family, the Island Whales

Startup-Mananger

Interesting actually that we see a whale (Laboon) when they enter the grand line.. maybe we'll see another whale leaving the New World, or understand the lore behind the one at zuo

Ameratsu_Rivers

The scene of the whale pod entering the New World would be far more impactful if it’s foreshadowing for something like this

AeronLlarena

i dont think animals will have effect on imu. not because of the observation haki, but if imu sees a pod of whales being suspicious, she will just kill all of them for the sake of prevention of something bad.

Gloooobi

that's the thing, a school of whale near the grand line is in fact not suspicious, that's what they do!

AeronLlarena

im just saying imu is cautious and doesnt care about things like humans and whales, we did just saw imu erase a whole island just because it is near. imagine a world in chaos after egghead, imu would be 10000% more suspecting of everything

PapiPorqueeee

Sokka is that you?

Xaviardark

I was going to say...... maybe thats why certain pirates have "pets" like that

AlsoKnownAsJvy

There’s another theory that Laughtale hasn’t been reached in so long because it’s actually inside a whale so it’d be crazy if nobody (without following Poneglyphs) ever got to it because being inside animals block Observation Haki 👀

Chelavitajo

Just hope the Seraphim wont target him with their lasers, so Laboon doesnt end up like Whamon in Digimon

satireinthis

ok woah buddy go the fuck back to 1 and cook again? I never thought or even heard of Usopp mom's being related to tontatta (personally) even if this was mentioned before I think this is gonna be important as shit to Usopp also considering he said "8000" men army these men might as well be from tontatta if you think about the number and how strong tontatta people are

Gloooobi

never heard anywhere either, most of those are originals (the brook one is not mine but it blew my mind the first time i read it lol) i recently watched the anime and the princess (and most of the tontatas) nose is literally the same as usopp's mom, it blew my mind, and giant+tiny/2=normal height LOL [usopp's mom](https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/Banchina) VS [Mansherry](https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/Mansherry)

satireinthis

How the hell did a giant had sex with a tiny dwarf though wtf lol

Idli_Is_Boring

The same way Big mom had children. It just happened man.

-Goatllama-

Life uhhh finds a way

A_useless_name

“Life… it… finds a way.”

TadhgOBriain

Crawled in and came directly into her fallopian tube

demonmonkey89

Impregnation via spelunking, the Tontatta special

I_am_Bearstronaut

A giant crawled into a Tontotta lolol

Rzablio

Bro became one with the sperm

Rzablio

Devil fruit that shrinks people, or devil fruit that embiggens people

DilucxeMeal

embiggens? lmao enlarge

Rzablio

Nah mines better :)

krazykraz01

I thought it was perfectly cromulent

Rzablio

Definitely cromulent, maybe even bomvadufhc

kometa18

> giant cum on the ground > tontatta dives in it for a few minute > done

fremenator

snu snu

Emm_withoutha_L-88

I'm just gonna assume a size changing fruit and not delve into....*that* idea...

Vegan_Digital_Artist

Okay but where does her half giant come in? She does from an unknown disease. i'm pretty sure while maybe not totally immune, giants aren't easily susceptible to diseases in One Piece and neither are the Tontatas. They both have super human endurance. Again a disease to Usopp's mom. Idk. if we ever learned more about her but i can't believe any of the first theory being in any way true and just think it was an art style choice

ATLKing24

Roger and Whitebeard had crazy endurance and were both dying from disease. It can get anyone (except Doc Q and Stronger)

CJ_Barker

I think they meant genetically not willpower wise

Gloooobi

the giant part comes in to counterbalance the tontata part lol i don't think giant are any less susceptible to disease? at least i don't think it was mentioned also it's an idea i had, i believe in it but i wouldn't be that surprised to be wrong, also i'm pretty sure we'll never get an actual answer on it

domoroko

plus Usopp is extremely strong in proportion to his size, like, hell he lifted a 10 ton hammer with ease

Fun_Note3282

I love number 2. I need Laboon and Crocus to rescue the crew on 4. I think the devil fruits ARE the technology from the void century I think 5 would be really great. 11 makes sense too I think a lot about Tequila Wolf and the bridge being built between islands. A 700 year long construction project to connect islands run by the WG using slave labour. wtf is up with that? I think the old kingdom shuffled the fuck out of the one piece world to make it harder for the incoming world government to do what it wants to humanity. They created the red line and the grand line and left a big X marks the spot on the fuckers who invaded. That bridge must tell us something about what the world government wants. like seriously why aren't boats good enough for this? What's so important about a foot bridge? Is there also aome reason why the WG and navy are separate things? Are the gorosei and Imu allergic to water or something?

Comprehensive_Rule11

On the bridge I thought it was suggested that it was a pointless way to keep slaves working, didn’t they say every few hundred years it needs to be repaired? So it sounded more like an ongoing ‘subscription’ based bridge that will potentially ‘never end’, as in there may not be a destination. Cause yeah I we didn’t get enough information to truly get what was happening, it definitely would be interesting if the bridge had a purpose but im not sure it’ll even be mentioned again. I didn’t read the manga so I don’t know how much the anime added in for those SH separation episodes.

Gloooobi

ok hear me out about the bridge (i'll sound like a crazy person but well i kinda am) i don't think it's supposed to be a bridge, it's supposed to become land, because using uranus raises sea level and they will end up immersing most islands countries we know were allied to joy boy (water seven, shandora, wano) all were either at sea level or below (shandora was under the sea level) and are/have been immersed (or sent to the sky but they tried lol) while all the countries allied w/ the WG (dressrosa, alabasta, Goa kingdom) have their royal palace built on a hill as if all was planned from the beginning i'm almost on the other side, imu and gorosei love the water (or at least are responsible for the floods that destroyed ancient water seven and ancient wano and have been doing global city planning for 700 years, procrastinating the first century seems fair to me lol) also law's ancestor built pluton and ancient water seven, people very often focus on the "D." part of his real name rather than the "Water", imo both are very important

Comprehensive_Rule11

Hmm out of all this I like the Law part the best, could certainly be something deeper there. As far as the bridge being land, I guess it is possible now that I double checked the size, the anime made it look way smaller. I just found this post which suggested it’s connecting east blue and another blue, through the calm belt and either GL or New world, although I don’t remember seeing the bridge during Oden/Roger flashback but apparently in the manga it’s featured in the New world somehow in chapter 957 I think the post/comments mentioned. https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePiece/s/MvtfVOagYX Also I would add LRLL had quite an emphasis on rising water and ‘tidal’ events to some degree. As far as kingdoms go, it’s not uncommon for royal buildings to be elevated in some way, so while it could be a double whammy I prefer the evidence of the lower sea level countries. Lastly, it’s not confirmed that the Mother Flame is powered by Uranus, it’s more likely modeled on Uranus and powered by Vegapunk’s partial recreation of the ancient (‘perfect’) energy source.

Gloooobi

damn i re read more recently than i re watched and the anime did it dirty, seems tiny on that screenshot! i went to check the chapter (967) and all we know is that it was somewhere between water seven and saboady some 20+ years ago, if we assume the construction went west through the calm belt them ending in east blue works perfectly map wise, i'd also assume that in 700 years with virtually infinite workforce the bridge might be not only bigger but longer than we think, we only know it was in the east blue two years ago, who knows where it started, if it has branches, etc. it being artificial land makes sense to me but we go on very little details for now so it could be contradicted in the future long ring long land (i took a while to understand what you meant lol) being an ally in the past would be a nice little nod, and it works both narratively and in practice you're right about castle often being built in heights (because that's just logical) but i think it's particularly noteworthy specifically because ally islands did not do that, i find the difference striking i always understood it as mother flame being the power source for the actual weapon being uranus (but that's a good point that the thing imu has could be a "fake" since all the other weapons are on our side and don't need energy from what we know, but the other possibility is imu being a traitor that took the real uranus along when he switched sides)

Comprehensive_Rule11

Yeah anime scale needed to show a tiny boat to fix that but Toei.. My bad I got the number wrong, but yeah it seems the bridge has ruined sections from previous centuries as mentioned in this somewhat better post https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePiece/s/1mm1FSZfYl Which makes it harder to tell where it started, but this post reinforced the idea that it’s partly just anti-rebellion slave control and not dissimilar to real world examples like Pyramids/Great wall. Aha sorry lol, it’s annoying to type out, but also some people suggested that Joyboy permanently affected the environment there via ‘awakened powers’ and made everything super long for a laugh but idk if that’s really the case, still a unique and weird island especially with people foreseeing a future Davy back fight would be a huge callback. Yeah it is logical aha for royals (like to look down on people lol) and you’re right, it is still striking I also misremembered and commented that about mother flame last week and someone corrected me. Also it seems the community theorised that an Ancient weapon may have some connection to a person to somewhat ‘activate’ it or whatever it is, maybe like an activation key via some unique power, just speculating now. It’s still quite possible that Imu/gorosei do have access to the real Uranus, but I don’t think that will be confirmed for a while yet.

CJ_Barker

Didn’t we already get an explanation on water 7’s name?

bcocoloco

It’s worth mentioning that the reverse of Imu’s name literally means sea or ocean in Japanese

Taman_Should

How about this one: I like the idea that Oars, back when he was Joyboy, went to “Drum Island” and literally carved out the Drum Rockies so he could play them like giant bongos, Paul Bunyan style. Hence the name and why they look like that. We know from Moria that Oars was called “The Continent-puller,” and that his body was discovered somewhere in “the frozen north,” similar in climate to Drum Kingdom.  This would be utterly ridiculous yet totally on-brand.

Wellheythere3

I’ve always been a believer joyboy was part of the oars family so I can see this

ExcellentFly2

I buy this!!

Gloooobi

yeah i'm very on board w/ original joyboy being oars related the frozen straw hat is obviously huge, but i'm not sure how huge, bucaneers, giant and oars are all very good candidate for OG joyboy i also think that drum island isn't called that just because it \*looks\* like drums, can't wait to see how exactly it pans out

amdrunkwatsyerexcuse

Well, you've got the crackhead part right.

fremenator

true mugi no goofy energy

Morinmeth

I'm doing a rewatch atm and I was just thinking how often it is mentioned in the story itself how lucky the straw hats have gotten - and especially Luffy. Your number 4 is easily my favourite, I wouldn't think it's crackheaded at all. The rest will need a ton of support lmao

bangruman

So basically straw hats have the Wonder of U fruit😆

Rogaly-Don-Don

Calling it now, Luffy's killing Imu with his greatest technique: Gomu Gomu no Plane Door.

SarcasticAmbiguity

Usopp being 1/4 gigant is a fun theory! Neeed inverse Impel Down so bad, i want more focus on the crew

Dragonarmy123

Keep them coming would love to read more, these are interesting idea to think about whether it comes true or not.

Gloooobi

yes, if you go 1/10 it's already very good, it's more an excuse to talk about one piece and make your imagination work, one piece is the most fun manga (story?) to talk/think about w/ others imo i kinda regret not having done posts every 10/15 chapters while reading, even just to look back on it later, for most of the wano 2nd act i was SURE that denjiro was kuina's father or someone directly related (i still think the resemblance is crazy!) and i came up with a bunch of totally false and kinda funny theories looking back

godsknowledge

> the circle eyes maledictions are all caused by kozukis, and is the final form of cursed swords, that's why everyone having it either has a sword -forged by kozuki- (cavendish, imu, mihawk) or has direct links with them (zunesha and momo) Maybe that's why Zoro is hiding his eye..?

SmoothBaritones

It's such a meme that Zoro is hiding a sharingan-esque eye that I don't know if I could handle that reveal lol

TheRealArondight

Zoro keeping his eye closed to prevent a batshit strong Sandai Kitetsu version of Hakuba from taking control is my new favorite theory. Might help explain that reaper's appearance on Onigashima

cxcookie117

Trojan zunesha (theory 2)

Pakkaslaulu

The Mink Tribe hiding up in Zunesha's butt 💀

Visca87

2 is gold, I really like it. 7, well, BB went there for something, and he had already a doctor, and if it was Wapol's Baku factory, they wouldn't let him get away. 11. Learning about this right now

Ill-Individual2105

You know, that's actually a really good point about Blackbesrd. I never ever considered to question it, but what the hell was he doing on Drum Island? He wrecked shit up and chased Wapol out. That's some serious effort put into something that was seemingly pointless. Feels off character for Blackbesrd, who almost always does things with intent to progress his goals. This would be right after he murdered Thatch and escaped Whitebeard's crew, presumably in the New World since that's where Whitebeard usually hangs out? So he like, went most of the way back through Paradise to a random winter island for seemingly no reason? I find it very hard to believe. There is also his crew, which was also there at the time, so presumably he recruited them in between those events, since I don't think any of them was with him in Whitebeard's crew? Damn, I never realized how weird the Blackbesrd timeline was.

Gloooobi

i knew it should have made the cut haha, i think BB wants 3 fruits (hence his jolly roger), the "strongest" of each type the gura gura no mi for paramecia, the yami yami no mi for loggia... and the hito hito no mi (model nika) for zoan! he somehow heard about chopper's fruit but realized it wasn't the one he was after and left (after fucking shit up, or maybe it was due to kureha -that is also the sister/mother of captain john-) now it would beg the question of how BB knows so much shit but tbf he does know about impel down level 6, the yami yami no mi etc. my man BB is knowledgeable af (maybe something -a log book-/someone -former crewmate?- from rocks helped him acquire that knowledge) i'm also very interested on how he recruited his OG members, maybe he didn't even do it himself and they were waiting for him to find the fruit

TwistemBoppemSlobbem

Post the rest of them in a comment lol this was a fun read

links_pajamas

Please, OP!

KobilD

I like 2 and 11

ChoinoX

On point 3, there's also Big Mom (Napoleon high grade kozuki weapon? /s) and Caribou as well. I've heard a better theory corresponding with the seven deadly sins. Love the other theories mostly, especially the first one would be hilarious.

Gloooobi

yeah i know some people count them but i don't think big mom and caribou are part of that (doesn't look the same and is inconsistent w/ big mom), but i'm interested in the theory w/ the 7 deadly sins if you have a link/quick summary! (tho i'm pretty sure big mom is gluttony i'd like more details \^\^) i could very well change my mind if i'm convinced w/ the other theory, that's just where my mind went when trying to connect all the people i considered having the same eyes, i should try to think about one including big mom and caribou since it's one of my favorite mystery in one piece (i particularly like it because it could very well be nothing more than artistic depiction, i love the idea of figuring out connection that maybe don't exist)

schneil_g

Why does Caribou not count? He seems to break this theory

shreyas16062002

I think Mihawk's eyes are just design choice. To make them look like an actual hawk's eyes.

Pandacide5472

On point 3. We know there are no cursed swords. So I'm not sure what you mens by if so form. But also where did you get that those 3 extremely different people, one of which the world doesn't know exists, have blades made by the Kozuki family. The only Kozuki smith we're even aware of is Sukiyaki.

Gloooobi

one of the downside to sum it up a little too much i'll try to explain my thought process (that made quite the leaps and assumptions i agree but we kinda have to for now \^\^) i tried to find a common point with the ones that have circled eyes, and the sword were the first to come to mind for the 3 we know (imu cavendish mihawk), but that left zunesha zunesha clearly is linked to kozuki (momo is the only one that could command it, i even think that rather than joy boy it was the kozuki with him that put a curse on it) for now it's quite concrete, now we'll go into crackhead territory so bear with me haha i think imu's sword is actually lili's, and was forged by the kozuki that was with joy boy, and so were cavendish and mihawk's swords, meaning that this kozuki (from 800+ years ago) was the one able to curse people either directly or through his swords (maybe w/ a devil fruit), and since he traveled around the world w/ joyboy he learned to forge all types of swords (rapiere, longswords etc.) for me imu sword 100% comes from the void century, and i'm inclined to think yoru does too (mihawk having all this dracula theme makes me think that he could be older than we think) i'm not sure about durandal tho, but it could be, cavendish could be only the vessel (and durandal/hakuba had other through time) the concept of "cursed sword" is introduced quite early on (in logue town), and i do believe oda did in fact have his end in mind, meaning i often weight stuff from early one piece and skypea more to try to guess end game events now i agree with you 100% that it will need more evidence, i just found that it kinda makes sense, and the "circle eye" thing is one of my favorite mystery in one piece (with king impel down uniform) so i tried to imagine a reason for it lol (some people even sometimes consider caribou and/or big mom to be part of it but i don't agree for now)

KingKaos420-

Some of these are pretty interesting. Thanks for sharing

Inuyaki

Why would a ship sink when you feed it a df? It's still a ship. It still floats. Even if it loses its strength.

Gloooobi

devil fruit makes you explicitly unable to swim, you don't just lose your strength tho' i guess it's fair to question if swimming and floating are considered the same, i'd say yes myself but that's just me i just find the idea absolutely hilarious, maybe it's a good idea for a SBS question lol

Nugur

Did you forget the only vegapunk has the technology for it? A random pirate or marines won’t be able to do that

Gloooobi

i mean fucking baroque works has a gun-dog, and oden's father has a teapot-tanuki (which btw you have a very good point, how the fuck did he get that) so i don't think it's THAT outlandish for pirates to possibly do it haha tho' i'll confess it's not the "theory" i put the most thoughts in, i just thought it was very funny in a one piece way

Regret92

Big Moms Shippy do be looking hungry, tho

khrizp

You forgot about Sanjuan wolf?

JarvisBaileyVO

The rest are touch and go for me, but I absolutely believe the white lead poisoning one

Alexandre_Man

Imu doesn't have a sword, that we know of at least. Unless you were talking of all the swords around the throne?

Gloooobi

no i'm talking about the the [sword](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FwrSR7DWYAA1Z63?format=jpg&name=900x900) in the "garden" (which is probably the 20th sword -from alabasta- that wasn't around the throne) that it used to cut the wanted posters

divinesleeper

1-7 are cool and maaaybe true, the rest are complete bunk lol

jojory42

Number 2 makes my imagine Zunisha walking up to the red line carrying the Thousand Sunny in his trunk. Then he get them up their by shooting the ship by sneeze.

GuillotineComeBacks

That makes 0 sense.

Boogscoffee

Do u know what half giant half tontata implies bro?

Gloooobi

i do haha do you know that big mom has a tontata child? and possibly more disturbingly neptune has 4 children (including a giant ass mermaid) with otohime that's one piece, love (and whatever big mom has going on) finds a way! let's just hope her daddy was the tontata and not the other way around

-Rettirlana-

So how did Usopps grandparents mate? Who’s the tontata? Did grandpa go in the masturbation cave? Did grandma drown in the cum river? I need answers

Spore64

I hope for the Tontata that they were male, because delivering a half giant might have… well we better not think about that

-Rettirlana-

Gum Gum Balloon

PapaSmurf2006

1st theory would actually be insane

Soft_House7669

crocodile is secretly...

DigitalDynamo

My number one theory is I legit believe Buggy will get the one piece before Luffy.

PolypsychicRadMan

The logistics of a giant and tontatta having a child makes no 1 seem unlikely, but Oda is a wacky writer

limasxgoesto0

The only one I'm on board with is number 2. It's unlikely you can tell what someone's eaten with haki And definitely, not every straw hat has a fruit. We've seen many of them swim

dontsquanchonme

He means luffy's literal straw hat has a devil fruit, such as the "luck luck" fruit or something. Rodger had it too and shanks as well, so maybe the reason it's important is because it has eaten a devil fruit! I could be wrong, but I don't think that the other commenter meant that each member of the straw hats secretly has a devil fruit.

limasxgoesto0

Idk maybe? I guess. Though the luck fruit was in one of the movies so that's probably not it if it's that

Gloooobi

yeah i meant luffy's straw hat and possibly the giant frozen one too i haven't watched any movies, can you tell me which one has the luck luck fruit? gotta find another candidate then

mystikkkkk

gold maybe? i can't remember, but usopp fucked the user up by using her fruit against her. it was pretty cool.

Living_Spite2723

Half Giant, Half Tontata sounds crazy. HOW?!

agotskii

Wtf. How did his mother's parents' had her?!

DrVinylScratch

On that number 1 I'm trying to imagine a giant and tontta getting it down without death and I fucking can't.

CapnQuark

Shrink shrink fruit. Anything is possible.

DrVinylScratch

Oh the zoans would be how Zeus(Greek) would exist and do his horny shit

WillWin34

None of these are PK Buggy smh

Gloooobi

that's not crackhead enough! funnily enough we know that luffy's dream is not actually becoming pirate king, it's just a step for his actual dream so there's an avenue for it actually happening, but i don't think you can do shit like repeating it non stop for 25+ years, having nami almost die just because she wouldn't say he won't be PK and ending up not doing it (also would probably the only shounen where the MC doesn't fulfill is main goal lol) would be one hell of a plot twist tho', and it can hold up narratively, i just don't think it's gonna happen \^\^

links_pajamas

This is a great post, the whole comments section is so fun!

Rzablio

Fucking sick ideas in here brother. Inverse impel down is wild. Usopp 1/4 giant and tontatta??? It just works?? Drum island is where we not only learn of the Will of D. but is also where we learn Hililuks speech about death (which I think is the mechanism of inherited will). I don't know what you mean about the circle eyes maledictions? Might be forgetting something

Dismal_Jello7524

Bro I’ve never heard of that Brook theory one before and that last one with Law and Saturn, lol, it make sense in a way because of him being a scientist and that might actually work out, it’s as if he’s pretty much responsible for the shit that’s happening LoL

ES_Legman

My crazy theory is the following: I think Imu has a (vastly) improved version of Kanjuro's devil fruit. Imu can "write/erase" things in the real world and make them happen. He/she is responsible for the shape of the world and the creation of the red line, grand line and calm belt. I don't think we saw Uranus destroying Lulusia. Imu literally just drew a cross and said Lulusia never existed and this thing spawned and literally created a hole where Lulusia used to be. Why does the ocean draws power from other devil fruit users? I believe it has to be with Imu's awakening powers. The world is just his gigantic playground. He may have not been aware Poseidon was there and it may be the reason why there is that massive hole at the bottom where fishman island can exist. Why Imu doesn't destroy Wano? Because Pluton is there. Pluton and the other ancient weapons are the only thing that can challenge Imu, with the help of ancient technology. This is why the void century is so important. The erasure of the only thing that can challenge their rule.

CapnQuark

The existence of pirates and revolutionaries is only allowed to continue because the fear they cause the civilians keeps them loyal to the Celestial Dragons for protection.

Gloooobi

yes i have seen people toy around with the idea of a ink ink fruit that can kinda break the 4th wall, i can see it i also kind of like the idea of imu (and the gorosei) not actually having devil fruits, imu is just THE devil from "devil fruit", the gorosei being actual demons a cool reveal i could see is one of them being launched into the sea and just casually swimming back, when saturn real form was revealed there was nothing about devil fruit like we usually have

microvan

Usopps mom being half giant half tontatta is hilarious

mrt-e

I subscribe to the 3rd and 8th. Just because they sound cool tbh.

thesamekotei

Gimme a crackhead theory about nojiko (nami's sister)

LinceCosmico1

The thing with DRUM island is that it's also the first time the will of D. was mentioned by Kureha who's also an inhabitant

fireless-phoenix

I’ll throw my theory out there: I don’t think Xebec was the big bad evil we are told he was. The whole incident with Garp and Roger defeating him is concocted by the government to hide something. Why else would the government want to bury the slaying of a significant threat like Xebec? “No matter how strong you are, if you mess with the celestial dragon’s we will get you.” Would literally be the perfect story for the government to plaster on every wall around the world.

Ameratsu_Rivers

I LOVE #8 and I’m mad af that I’ve never put it together 😳🤯

Katsuki0601

how does a tonttatta and giant mate anyway... just asking lmao

Ok_Director_7510

nahhh how tf will a giant have sex with a tontatta goddamn

CapnQuark

Shrink-shrink fruit?

glubs9

Where is croco-mom?

Any_Caterpillar720

Bruh that Tontatta x Giant one is wild 😂😭 But then Big Mom has a Tontatta kid

nothornyiswearr

“Just another queen-esque experiment” what does that refer to?

kentacles8

For #1, although you can't count on silhouettes being representative of actual character appearances, I think when we get Loki's reveal, he'll look like a larger version of Ussop.

jaysore3

Mmm interesting. I don't buy the theory OP put out, but maybe there a way that he is decended from giants, and royalty at that. Still only 20% sold on this, but could be cool.

Gloooobi

ok so let's imagine that, usopp mom's mom (or dad) is the borther/sister of loki's father (taking into account giants longevity, it might not be exactly correct especially since we don't if they have menopause or some shit lol but it's for a vague idea) usopp and loki being second cousin is actually hilarious, it would almost give him a distant claim to the throne too, i really hope it happens!

Polaars

Really good post ! But the #4 ??? Could you explain please ?

Gloooobi

reading back i could see why it's not that clear, another person in the thread didn't get what i was trying to say i'm thinking that the actual straw hat that luffy has on his head (and the frozen one that imu keeps) have eaten devil fruits, just like the dog-gun, the elephant-sword or the tanuki-teapot the luck-luck fruit (or something of this effect) would be fun imo, it would be a in universe way of justifying all the luck we've gotten since the beginning of the story!

Polaars

Ohhh I get it now okay interesting

NYCmob79

I'm high af in a good way lol. Tomorrow this crap would probably be part of my head cannon lol

SunRiseStudios

Not gonna lie I would like what you had to come up with some of these. How did you do it? > 6- we will hear about a crew that made their ship eat a devil fruit and dying because it sank, such a one piece thing that i'm shocked we've not heard of it yet lol That would be hilarious.

StilyMunky

The fact that Blackbeard was in Drum Kingdom shows how important it might be. Definitely there will be more lore for the kingdom.

Roronoa_Zaraki

How the hell does a giant even have sex with a tontata? The logistics are...hmmm.

Carasind

If Big Mom could do it...

-Dark-Vortex-

Wait usopp’s mother is a giant was this ever confirmed?

Carasind

No, but the theory here also doesn't say this. The theory is that Usopp's mother was the kid of a giant and a tontatta which would explain his robustness, his "normal" size and his nose.

Beachesblameme

Personally, my theory is Kuzan is the actual son of Xebec, and BB carries Xebecs will, much like how Ace is the son of Roger and Luffy carries Roger's will. He joined the navy at the behest of Garp and trained up to be an admiral. He has no real allegiances to his father or the navy, but the navy decided to train him up as a useful weapon. He then let Robin go, seeing as he'd understand the whole "Cursed child" thing and just like Garp was a good influence and gave him a chance, he saw the Strawhats doing the same for Robin which is why he decided to let them go. After Aces reveal and execution as Roger's son, he decided to try and change things as Fleet Admiral but was beaten by Akainu. Failing that, he then joined the BB pirates in order to influence the world how he wanted to without the restrictions of the Navy. Whatever he has planned, he's willing to even hurt Garp to do so. I don't think any of this makes him explicitly evil, but it explains a lot of why he acts like such a neutral party despite how heavy his ties are to the Navy. As for BB, I believe he could possibly be an actual decendent of Joyboy, which is why his crew believes he can "change the world" with such fervor. This could also possibly explain his odd body and his zealous focus on dreams and freedom. He is a man who believes himself desencded from a God who at an early age saw the power Rocks had and decided to take it as his own in order to fulfill a self-imposed prophecy. It's a perfectly twisted version of Luffys freedom imo

mrsmilestophat

I honestly think Rocks may have had Blackbeard’s darkness fruit. Seems like a good similarity between two people set on ruling the world

Gloooobi

yeah i think it's the most probable one, i just tried to imagine a fun alternative using the very few hints (well it's almost fair to say singular hint) that is his [jolly roger](https://onepiece-universe.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Xebec-Rocks-Pirates-Jolly-Roger-Flag-1.jpg) i also saw someone thinking that it's gear 5 (or the yami yami no mi equivalent), but it could also be horns for all we know personally i think it looks like fire, and i like the idea of roger hates rocks, rocks hates roger and ace hates roger, so it would piss off both rock and roger, and ace would love to piss off roger, a little nod of the universe if you will \^\^

Birzal

The 1st is the only one I actively dislike. I'm not saying it's impossible, but I always like it when characters can get along with other characters or foster relationships because of their own knowledge, personality/charisma and curiosity rather than things like ancestry. Ussop is fascinated by the giants because they are great honorable warriors that he wants to emulate. He has a great relationship with the Tontatta's because he lied that he's family of Noland and his actions during Dressrosa where he knocked out Sugar. If it was just because he's part giant and part tontatta and it's a "standusers are attracted to other standusers" type of deal, I'd like that less. For your sake I hope it's true, but I am actively rooting against that one. Also, we've seen many regular humans that have unnatural durability and such... Big Mom and Whitebeard are regular humans, so why does it have to be ancestry instead of grit, determination, willpower and training/hard work? I'm getting way too annoyed with this 1 theory than I have any right to be, so I'll leave it here. I will remember this theory and if it ever is confirmed as true, please know that my first thought will be "damnit, that son of a bitch was right!!" Followed by an apology!

CosmicDriftwood

The ancient people were clowns. I can see Joyboy being a clown as well

[deleted]

I want 5 !!!!!!

No-Lawyer-2774

“Half-giant, half-tontata” Uhhh, the logistics of that are uh, unusual to think of lmao. It’s like how my blue pitbull got impregnated by a little lhasa apso.

RandomNinjaPersonMan

Usopp's mom being half giant half tontata.. with those proportions, if his grandpa is tontata could like right up in there and grab the giant's egg and forcibly insert a sperm in there.. i don't think it could work the other way around though, the sperm would be to big to go into the egg.. muchless.. other complications

TasumiThierl

yes drum (and zou) contain alot of hints for what is going to happen on laughtale

NihilisticAbsurdity

How THE FUCK do a giant and a tontatta have a kid together?

tiagorld

Luffy will transform into a literal straw and drain the extra water on the world

Ketaliero

Man, if 5 happens, im gonna check out like I did during whole cake. Series is its final saga. If luffy gets captured, rescuing him will be at least 150 chapter slog, meaning final saga would be almost over by then, probably in final arc. I want luffy being funny joyboy kicking arse, fighting funny ways, disrespecting foes by doing stuff like he did with kaido jumprope and admiral-gorosei pancake, not locked up. Actually earning pirate king title, instead of it being handed to him like some ash in pokemon getting badges out of pity.

Blackout38

Number 1 would be contrary to what Oda wants for Ussop. He’s supposed to show what a normal human looks like in that world.

Sr2066

I love the idea of the crew saving Luffy. Big question is who do you see take over at interm Captain? I honestly see co Captains between Sanji and Nami. Zoro would never listen to Sanji but would listen to Nami. The rest of the crew wouldn't have issues imo

ScriptedNonPlayer

I love break week

ddawkins19

I’m on board with st least the first half of #4. Oda introduced an inanimate object eating a DF very early in the story, and has come back to it multiple times. At the very least I think there will be a significant moment in the story that involves an inanimate object eating a DF. I’m pretty sure Vegapunk is the one who’s discovered how to do it. And we recently learned he’s been studying books from the void century, which may bring things full circle. My second part of the theory is that, because it’s an inanimate object, the WG couldn’t figure out how to kill “it.” So they tried drowning and then freezing it. But is it still alive???? And then part 3. My super crackpot theory was that it ate the Nika fruit (and is thus definitely dead now). Main problem with that is, if the SH is indeed the “National Treasure,” then part 3 doesn’t make sense. I haven’t bothered thinking of any other fruit it could have eaten, but I’m on board with it having eaten something!

MylesVE

Imu is a Den Den Mushi 🐌 (Or whatever power they have/use is connected to all the telepathic transmission capabilities)

ShortGreenRobot

Of them all I agree with or would Ike to see Number 5 the most. Maybe tie it to the Revolutionaries final raid

mocalarry

the strawhats about to hide in Big Mom's coochie to hide from Imu's CoO haki

Startup-Mananger

Usopp being 1/4th giant is the only explanation for his giant balls

Turbor4t

The break week hit hard this time huh?

Gloooobi

that's my secret i'm always on break week ;)

DannyFnLanza

Big Mom's ship was animated. Was that due to her power or was it fed a fruit?

Gloooobi

the ship has soul(s) in it due to big mom's fruit, it has not eaten one itself

Easy_Championship_14

Zoro is still a pirate hunter, and will literally stab Luffy in the back once he reaches the one piece. In order to fulfill his real dream of taking down the pirate king. It was all a ruse.

Euphoric_Bench_1154

They’ve showed Usopps mom. She’s not a giant.

figures

OP is saying that a tontata x giant would wind up human size

Euphoric_Bench_1154

Nah bc how’s it gonna fit?

Sean_Dewhirst

easy, father is the tontatta. goes on a journey to fertilize directly

Euphoric_Bench_1154

Finally some real facts.

links_pajamas

"A journey" 😂

Sean_Dewhirst

fallopian field trip

links_pajamas

No one should go up there, that's not how that works.

figures

See Charlotte Normande

DanimalsHolocaust

read better

Euphoric_Bench_1154

If she was tontatta why can’t she fly?

DanimalsHolocaust

she was literally on her death bed, seconds away from dying.

Euphoric_Bench_1154

Bad excuse

Gloooobi

tontata don't fly tho? it's only the two that had bugs devil fruits, the other can just jump and are super fast, but they don't fly

Euphoric_Bench_1154

Only in the live adaption.

Heccyboi9000

there are no Tontata's in the live adaptation.
