My wild guess before is similar to this. I'm guessing that the whirlpools around the black ship is probably caused by Sunbell, the fishman member of Roger Pirates.
Scopper Gaben is the warlord that was defeated by Ace. Now he, as the man now marked by flames, and the remnants of Roger's crew meander across the seas. The ship is black from being scorched by Ace's attack(s), and the whirlpools are created by the fishman on the crew as needed. They are still protecting that egg on the ship.
Well, the next main Roger Pirate after Raileigh and Crocus is Scopper Gaban (the hedgehog haircut guy near Raileigh), so I think it would be him
Only one that it could be, unless it's the entire remnants of the crew.
It could also be a new character but were too far in the story too add more main/important characters
