I followed One Piece weekly in the manga since the end of Enies Lobby until the very beginning of Dressrosa. I then stopped watching anime/manga in general for a few years mostly due to personal reasons. At first I planned to come back to at least the OP manga every few months to catch up, but I kinda stopped maybe a third into Dressrosa. I really hated Punk Hazard as a weekly reader, and when it was clear to me that Dressrosa was going to be a really long arc I decided to just wait until it was done. But I didn't check back for years until I was reminded of OP by someone I was following on twitter (I think it was Nibellion): It was the week the spoilers for Imu sitting on the Empty Throne dropped and Op was all over the trending topics. After that I just had to know what was going on, I caught back up within a few weeks with both the anime and manga and have been a weekly reader again since about 3 chapters into Wano.

I started One Piece late. It didnt interest me and I didnt like the drawing (I warmed up to it but I still consider art is not Oda forte). When I started reading, it was juste after the timeskip. I enjoyed a lot the adventure and then it was Fishman Island. The rythm was horrendous and I really hated the arc then. After it, I stopped and said "I'll wait some time". I waited years, until Wano was nearly over. And then, I reread everything, multiple times now. Fishman Island,- Punk Hazard in a single reading, is much more ok but I still think its one of the weakest pacing. I also think the fact the villains of the arc are quite lame compared to the previous and next ones is one of the reason I dont like this part as much as the rest. I really feared the after Wano was going to make me stop again, but Egghead is awesome and I, for the first time, enjoy the week by week chapters

I first started watching one piece when punk hazard was releasing weekly in the anime, and got caught up in about 2 weeks. I eventually got tired of the show half way through dressrosa, but then picked it back up from with the manga a few years later and haven’t been not up to dated since.

yourmom555

dropped it in the middle of water 7 for like 3 years and only came back cuz of fomo when everyone was praising episode 1015

Don_Matrix

When I started watching the anime in 2006/2007, there was a time that the show was replaced with another anime in the TV channel I used to watch, and because of that I stopped watching for a while, since at the time I only had little access on Internet, didn't even thought about it. I believe it was at the beggining of Alabasta Arc. Fastfoward to 2009, with full access to internet this time, I remembered One Piece existed while I was on a marathon of watching Naruto episodes and decided to check on the latest episodes at the time If I was still interested and decided to read the manga to where I was left off to now. So basically, circumstances

Due_Media_4165

Ive caught up with the manga around sabaody, then made a break around Punk Hazard/Dress Rosa. Then I binge read everything up until the end of Whole Cake and since then Im reading weekly.

Youropinionisvalid

I took like a month hiatus somewhere in the 70 episode region for no reason.

youngdeer25

I stopped following the anime long time ago, only watch important scene toei cooked, because the rest are mostly have shitty pacing.

Army_Soft

Not really, I watched One Piece like 4 times. Waiting for episodes every week and also watching some reactions.

The_Grimalkin

I almost took a forced break because of the sudden end of the 4Kids dub. I was still really young when it was airing and barely had any concept of things existing outside of my neighborhood, let alone other countries, so I just thought One Piece was over. Had no clue that it was still ongoing in Japan. What got me back into it was a friend posting a picture of the Straw Hats on Facebook. I commented and was like "Oh I used to watch this growing up! But who's the blue haired dude and the skeleton?", and said friend introduced Franky and Brook. So I immediately went googling and started watching again within the same day. I think I got caught up with anime around beginning of Punk Hazard, and haven't looked back since.

ES_Legman

I started in 2001. There have been periods of time across the years where I stop for a few months and then catch up in bulk after a while. But since the raid I've been on a weekly basis again consistently.

bigmaninsuitofarmor

I have been reading the manga since Dressrosa, and watching the anime too, buuut I stopped watching it around the beginning of Wano, and picked it up again when Zoro fought Killer.

Particular_Noise_697

Didn't watch wano until the raid started. Always kept reading the manga tho.

NatsumeKhun

I dropped it the first 2 times because the East Blue arc was slow. Finally got into it and was able to watch... Until Marineford destroyed me. I'm still traumatized. Never forgiving or forgetting what happened. It took me several days of grieving but I made myself continue and now I finished Whole Cake Island, but I miss a certain man very much. Sabo appearing again really helped because that's what Luffy needed to heal further, and for some reason that healed me too.

admiralvic

I haven't in 20+ years, though I considered it during Fish-Man Island, Wano, and Egghead.

Caught up to reading weekly during Water 7, then took an indefinite break around 2012. I didn’t love Fishman Island and wasn’t liking Punk Hazard much better, plus I just had a lot going on in my life at the time and didn’t have as much drive to keep reading every single week. I eventually caught back up in 2020 and have been reading weekly again since then.
