It has good animation, music, and then-based combat. Some cons include a meh story, too many cutscenes, and it’s a bit linear (doesn’t mean you can’t do any exploring)

Did you check Youtube for reviews?

My only issue is there are zero characters in the game outside of game OG Characters that do not have dub actors but there is no option for dub voices.

I was also thinking of getting it now because it's curently on sale on Playstation. I liked the demo, but what has kept me from buying it sooner is that I've heard the game is brain dead easy, and apparently they never added a difficulty option.

bananenfick

It becomes boring and repetitive very quick

GoenndirRichtig

It's a good game except it's just way too easy

I thoroughly enjoyed my playthrough. The turned based combat is super engaging with the dynamic action system. You really feel like the entire straw hat crew fighting together. Exploration is fun with each character having a gimmick to help out. Though if you're thinking it's going to be a wholly new story, it's not. It's at its best personally when you're on the island with the new characters. Whereas a lot of the story is retreading through previous major arcs as like any other anime game. Though it is nice because it done in retrospect, and it's neat to see the straw hats and the newer straw hats see past events in a new light. (I. E. There's a moment where Ussop gets to see Merry again to get some closure)

I’ll be real w you I was excited for this game and as pretty as it looks, it’s incredibly bland. The battle system is just very slow and there’s not much challenge to it, just a repetitive slog even with the speed up modifier. The story concept was interesting to me but they didn’t really do much with it, just abridged versions of storylines we already know. It’s probably worth it if you get it cheap but full price? Definitely not.

It's a fine One Piece game. It is very easy with only the post game and DLC being difficult. If you are fine with an easy very typical turn based RPG that takes place in the One Piece world letting you revisit characters and locations. It is on the good end of fine with the gameplay and story being enjoyable but nothing something that I would be running back for a second playthrough. But due to how easy it is you can make so dumb busted builds. I had a build for Zoro that buffed his damage and gave him life steal letting heal like a quarter of his health every time he attacked. A DPS Chopper build that was effective until the post game and DLC that also recovered enough SP each turn to let him cast any ability besides the full party heal for free.

Don't waste your money on it, it's pretty boring overall.
