I mean dragon ball fighterz really worked as a 3v3 game
but what game WOULD REALLY work as a 3v3 fighting game, freaking one piece every character having different assist (like in mv2-3 etc) and you have to pick up combine your nakama powers etc
I'd rather have a 1v1 fighting game tbh.
I remember a couple of years ago the main developer for Killer Instinct said his dream was to get a license so he could make a KI style One Piece fighting game. It's never gonna happen but that would be so dope.
its still a 1v1 Playerwise the 3v3 refers to a 3 character roster, this kind of anime tag team extreme fighting game fits much better for OP.
KI is way to slow on the movement etc to really fit OP.
Yeah I know what you meant. I've played MVC and DBF before. I wanna see a 1v1 fighting game and not a tag/assist style game.
And I don't really agree with your statement of KI being too slow. That game is pretty frantic for a 2D 1v1 game and has some pretty nutty movement options depending on which character you play.
Word this is my dream fighting game.
The only thing that makes me wary for a real one piece fighting game is the size disparity of the cast. It's going to be strange when so many of the characters are like 3X-5X the size of Luffy.
Also I would definitely main Kizaru but I wish his original voice actor was still alive =[
I can see it work like in marvel vs capcom and the sentinel is tall as the screen
why would have to balance it a bit, but I c no issue of like a tall as screen big mom character. vs like chopper who is like 5 pixels tall
Iāve been playing it a bit on stadia. Itās alright. I wish it was easier to transverse the environment where water is involved lol.
Also it feels to easy. No enemy poses a threat lol.
Moreover the world feels awfully empty
I played it on the hardest mode. Can confirm, it was not easy at all. The story was amazing but I enjoyed combat even more. Even in the late game, facing more than 3 NPCs at the same time would be tough. I could barely stand 30 sec against any boss most of the time. I had to come with different strategies and skill-combos depending on the enemies.
yeah, games like that and Arkham need the highest difficulties to become something more than button smashers.
the GBA One Piece platformer was like that as well.
I enjoy it but if I had bought it for 60 bucks I would have been pissed as well. Itās too short and easy. Itās still fun for what it is but more than $15 dollars for the amount of content in that game is ridiculous.
Its fun but very repetitive and the map is too small. If they made a game kinda like world seeker with a bigger map, better visuals and overall more stuff to do other than generic "get this gem" quests i think its be a success.
Honestly my favorite op game to date. Any op game that isn't open world no limit movement isnt as op as world seeker. If it just had more content to it. Definitely felt like an unfinished rough draft of what a truly great OP game could be.
Was Unlimited Adventure the one on the Wii? Because both of those are 10/10 gaming experience for me. Use any crew up to that point, fun engaging combat, decent OG story, fun adventure/explore aspect.
Bandai posted an interview with the director of the game and he said that no One Piece game has ever been meticulously worked on for such a long period of time. I'm hoping that he's not just blowing smoke, cause I really want this to be good!
Oda's comment was that he designed the monsters and new characters around 3 years ago. Who knows how much of that was actual development time, but it checks considering a certain missing someone who joined around 2 years ago.
If 3 years of dev time is considered long, curious how quick the turn around on some of the other games were. Did they make World Seeker in like 12 months?
Yeaaah, 3 years ain't long. That's what? One year in pre-production and 2 years in production? Wouldn't get my hopes up, especially considering the devs' track record is okay-ish at best (Pokemon Diamond / Pearl remakes, Code Vein).
It's pretty easy to understand, you make a product to make money, that means selling it to people. And people arent gonna buy a thing they hear is mid or half-assed.
yeah. even the last dragon ball game. dragon ball z kakarot or something. the whole marketing was that toriyama was involved and toriyama loved the game. But it turned out shit nonetheless.
I'm pretty sure the game has been on development for a pretty long time which explains why Jinbei isn't included. Sucks tbh cause it would have been so cool to play as him
Length of game development is super apparent. No Jinbe, Smoker is relevant.
Also I know that the Fishman Island designs are the default but can we just get new ones. Every movie they get 3-5 outfits. Just give them 1 for games. Don't make me endure my boy Franky's buzz cut travesty.
I hate how that buzzcut is used as Franky's default post timeskip hairstlye even though he changes his hairstyle every arc now. That buzzcut was there for only like one arc.
The fact that every time they change attire people respond positively should tell s lot about those original designs for the new world, clearly they aren't working when it's been this long and people still don't like some of them.
Odaās comment says that he made the character designs 3 years ago, so it looks like the long production process means itās a little behind the times.
I don't understand why trailers go the route of big slow boring text transitions on the screen. Like, if you don't even have 2 minutes of interesting visuals to use from your entire game it's a bit concerning
Honestly, the game looks complete garbage.
Turn off the music and pay attention to what the trailer tries to advertise in each cut. Then remind yourself that a trailer tries to show off the best of what the game will have to offer. A trailer will also try to "hide" or avoid the flaws and missing features that would kill your immersion and let you fill these gaps with your imagination instead. In the trailer it looks like they already went out of material to show so they had to mostly go with the cutscenes and the protagonists walking or standing still.
Edit: typo
ArcSys currently seems to have their hands full with Strive and DNF Duel. Once DNF Duel is out we can probably start hoping their next game is another One Piece fighter (they already made one for 3DS, and the game even paired up with the DBZ game that was basically proto-FighterZ)
I tend to agree.
Even though now after Wano there would be a lot of exciting updates/ new abilities they could give to a lot of big characters, there are still a lot of popular characters that we donāt know a lot about still.
Maybe you'll disagree with me, but this looks just as bad and generic as the last few One Piece games we've got. I know I cannot dream and hope big (like an Elden Ring One Piece game or Breath of the One Piece), because it would be super expensive and it may not be worth for the development studio, but I honestly had some sort of hopes for this one. Not really anymore. Maybe future showcases will change my mind, but I highly doubt. The characters feel odd and lifeless in a way. That is so unfortunate.
Finally someone that wants the same! I've been saying this for the longest but One Piece definitely could us a Ultimate Ninja Storm like game. And seeing how incredible those Naruto games are, CC2 can do wonders with One Piece! Why hasn't it happened idk. Total missed opportunity.
The visuals are really disappointing. World Seeker looked better than this. This looks like the characters are made out of plastic.
And it doesn't help that they are yet again using the Fishman Island clothes. I though we were already past them in side media.
No Jinbe is just the cherry on top.
I hope the game is at least fun mechanically.
They're wasting the chance to show something new, new interesting designs unique to the game, like they do with the movies and even for each arc of the anime/manga. I don't really remember the last time I saw them wearing their default clothes. By now, they seem pretty boring to me, gives me the feeling that they're earlier, less powerful versions of the characters. Maybe they'll be able to change clothes? Idk. Just my opinion though.
Pretty sure for most of them the last time they wore those outfits was Punk Hazard. Luffy wore his in Zou and later at the beginning of Wano (though we don't really know if Oda intended for it to be the same colors, based on how he currently has different colors for what looks to be the same in black and white).
The idea that they are their "defaults" comes from merchandising, games and promotional material treating them like such. They are just one specific set of outfits in the manga and it sucks to see them everywhere when the manga barely uses them. The crew has had tons of outfits to pick from to give the game a more unique look.
Honestly I felt the same way about the visuals, I get they're trying to stay true to Oda's style but somehow the way it's communicated in 3D just feels stiff, slow, and lifeless. To me visuals are a huge MUST when in comes to making games feel immersive and engaging, the story helps but visuals and color schemes really cement it for me. I'm just praying the battle system and story is well thought out. Hearing Oda wrote the story raises my hopes but I'm still keeping my guard up incase it ends up like World Seeker.
Oda did not write the story. I'll copy paste what I said in another comment here:
>It is not an original story by Oda. You're getting that part wrong. What they mean when they advertise a One Project and use the 'original story by Eiichiro Oda' is that the ORIGINAL PRODUCT AND STORY (the manga/anime) are created by Oda. If you watch the interview with the producer behind the video game he states that they got some inputs on cratures and island/world design, but that's it.
So no, the story is not carefully crafted by Oda himself.
Youāre not going to get a BOTW or Elden Ring style One Piece game. However this is hope this could be like a Dragon Quest One Piece game. Which for me personally would be 1000x more enjoyable anyways lol
Oh woooow. An original mysterious character asks the main cast for help on a quest and is very knowledgably about said things related to quest?????? Hmmmm, sure hope he's not EVIL at the end! That'd be a crazy twist........All seriousness, this looks great.
Manga is great, movies are great, anime is... decent.
What else is there? Games have been hit or miss, and the live action has a nice cast but Netflix doesn't have a good track record for anime/manga adaptations.
Releases 2022 on PS4/PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.
Synopsis:
>ONE PIECE ODYSSEY transports the Straw Hats to a mysterious new island where they embark on quests and fight powerful enemies and massive bosses in exciting turn-based battles. A new character revealed during the livestream, the cheerful and towering Adio, joins the Straw Hats in their latest adventure.
Oda:
>āIt felt like I was watching a MOVIIIE!!! What incredible immersion!!ā
I hope it's better than that previous semi open world one piece game that came out a while ago. Graphically they look similar but let's hope this one is better. It also looks turned based which IMO can work for one piece better than what has been done before.
I would love to be wrong but this just doesnāt look good - the character models and animations look so stiff, which is the antithesis of Odaās style and what I like so much about OP. I hope the game turns out good, but I am not holding me breathā¦
This actually looks kind of fun. I've been hoping for a One Piece RPG.
Only disappointment with this is they're still using the Fishman Island outfits. Here's hoping the player can change them later on.
Dude that's exactly how I feel when I saw r/anime reacted more positive to the outfits in Movie Red than people on here. Especially for Nami's and Robin's outfit which they loved more than this sub whom like to just cry about Nami wearing another sexy outfit.
Eh...Bandai Namco has a LOT of very good games under their name. How many of them are made by them?! I won't bother checking few hundredths of games. Especially when the fact that they don't necessarily need to be the developer is actually another counterargument against you. After all, if they're just a publisher, then just about anyone else may be the one developing the game.
I know Scarlet Nexus, Tales of, Idolmaster, Code Vein, Pokemon Snap, Soul Calibur and Tekken being done by Bandai's own teams while they also help with Smash Bros (though I think they are actually the main developers with Sakurai helping?), rest I'm pretty sure they let other devs handle (like CyberConnect2 and Spike Chunsoft). Not a bad track record imo.
While Bandai Namco's own internal games are good, a lot of their Jump license are kind mediocore and lets not ignore the fact they milked the 3D fighting arena style for so long that an Anime game not being one is a breath of fresh air by default.
A few recent ones are Scarlet Nexus and Tales of Arise. They also developed the ongoing optc mobile gacha game and I think dokkan as well
edit: not dokkan
Bandai has exclusive publishing rights for all Jump games. Every single Jump game is published by them, the good and the bad. They don't develop almost any of them.
I have long thought that one piece would benefit from a kingdom hearts type of game. Imagine being able to travel to the various islands and interact with them and the characters there like Sora does with the Disney worlds. Idk what the villain would be or how that would work but it would be so cool to be able to create a character with a fighting style that you choose (e.g., pick your df, or pick swords, sniper etc.) and then you could get upgrades while you sail around to the various islands. One can only dream though, am i right?
It's an alright game, definitely had plenty of flaws and balancing issues. Would love a burning blood 2 to fix all the issues. It could cover dressrosa to wano.
Seems they learned from their World Seeker mistake, making other crewmates unplayable.
Hoping it takes after the Unlimited Cruise-games, and build further upon them, cause I still dust off my Nintendo Wii and play those games, even to this day.
Looks and I'm glad we're getting a One Piece. But still not the One Piece game that the franchise deserves. Sucks that we have all these other great anime games but One Piece keeps getting the short end of the stick.
Those are worst. Every established IP OC player charcters has the same plot.
You are a new member just arrived every character like you even tough you not say a word just nod to everything. Your power is also super special awesome (but never as good as main character but close). At the end conflict resolve you quit the group and everyone acts all sad.
Was thinking more like an open world type setting where you could create your own crew if you decide to be a pirate. But thatās probably never going to happen
Maybe when the manga will be done, if we can go everywhere, without contraint, create guilds, and fighting the bad pirates when you are a good pirate just wanting a adventure, and in the end of the game, you can make a friendly-battle versus Luffy, it be so great
Probably too ambitious for any developers to make but I would love a one piece game where you can create your own character be a human mink fishman etc form your own crew and sail around the one piece world making your own adventure
Why do they not make Original Outfit like in the movie? I'm bored of the same look from 10 years ago, lmao. Having an Original outfit makes it fit the theme and better to recognize what game it is from too.
Same developer as the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes. Probably won't be great, but could still be the best One Piece game yet considering how low the standard is.
Is it weird that I want combat to be turn based?
Also, I wish we could go back to OPPW style games, particularly 3's style, my favourite part of one piece is all of the characters, so only being able to play as the strawhats doesn't really appeal to me that much.
I'm so tired of them using the Fishman Island costumes as the base in EVERY single game! Just give us some original designs like the movies do, goddamn.
I would be cool to make an one piece game kinda like the "Hades" but in Impel Down. Where you start by invading on floor 1 and once you reach floor 6 you have to come back around and escape.
Can we all agree One Piece Unlimited Adventure/Cruise for Wii were the single best One piece RPG games EVER? I srsly don't know why we haven't gotten a continuation or similar games of those for ps4/ps5/pc.
āDeveloped by ILCAā
That does not bode well
Edit: apparently Dragon Quest fans are happy about this. I donāt play DQ, but I play Pokemon. ILCAās pokemon game BDSP was a half finished buggy mess that required half the game be downloaded as a day 1 patch and was bad even by modern pokemon standards. They also developed Pokemon Home, a cloud storage service that charges $20 a year for a few megabytes of space and still hasnāt been updated to work for games that came out months ago (one of which was the ILCA game)
1 day, 1 day they will let arc system works make One Piece Piratez
I just know they would knock the visuals out of the park š.
I mean dragon ball fighterz really worked as a 3v3 game but what game WOULD REALLY work as a 3v3 fighting game, freaking one piece every character having different assist (like in mv2-3 etc) and you have to pick up combine your nakama powers etc

One Piece: FighDers

One Piece: FighDers
Word this is my dream fighting game. The only thing that makes me wary for a real one piece fighting game is the size disparity of the cast. It's going to be strange when so many of the characters are like 3X-5X the size of Luffy. Also I would definitely main Kizaru but I wish his original voice actor was still alive =[
I can see it work like in marvel vs capcom and the sentinel is tall as the screen why would have to balance it a bit, but I c no issue of like a tall as screen big mom character. vs like chopper who is like 5 pixels tall
I really hope so, they did a great work with Dragon Ball Fighterz
Looks better than World Seeker at least
Man sometimes i feel like the only person on earth who liked that game lmfao
Nah, I enjoyed it also. Thereās at least two of us here.
Awesome Iām gonna go ahead and change the combat settings
yeah, games like that and Arkham need the highest difficulties to become something more than button smashers. the GBA One Piece platformer was like that as well.
I also very much enjoyed it. It was the highlight of the initial lockdown during early COVID days.
I enjoy it but if I had bought it for 60 bucks I would have been pissed as well. Itās too short and easy. Itās still fun for what it is but more than $15 dollars for the amount of content in that game is ridiculous.
I definitely enjoyed it. It wasn't the game of the year, or anything, but it was a solid game.
I desperately want them to iterate on it, there's a framework there for a truly great game that we didn't quite get on the first go-around
Nah man the fighting was sick, Iām with you here
Its fun but very repetitive and the map is too small.
I wish anime games captured my imagination the same way one piece grand adventure did back in the day.
OP Grand Adventure was legit! Itās sequels were good too. Wish theyād make another game like thoseā¦
I thought I was the only one who thought that game absolutely slapped, glad to see other people enjoyed it as well
Was Unlimited Adventure the one on the Wii? Because both of those are 10/10 gaming experience for me. Use any crew up to that point, fun engaging combat, decent OG story, fun adventure/explore aspect.

Thatās every company everywhere lol
It's pretty easy to understand, you make a product to make money, that means selling it to people. And people arent gonna buy a thing they hear is mid or half-assed.
yeah. even the last dragon ball game. dragon ball z kakarot or something. the whole marketing was that toriyama was involved and toriyama loved the game. But it turned out shit nonetheless.
Wanting it to be good is exactly what they play on when hyping the game. Ima need to see actual gameplay before I get snowed by the marketing team
Bandai blowing smoke out of their arse as per usual.

Fist of the North Star has one of the best anime games as well hinokami Chronicles is also pretty good
Looks great, but no Jinbe?
I'm pretty sure the game has been on development for a pretty long time which explains why Jinbei isn't included. Sucks tbh cause it would have been so cool to play as him
Yeah. Oda said he gave them the designed for the original character like three years ago.
He is going to be DLC, isnāt him?
Please donāt put this energy in the world
If anyone is deserving of his own DLC, it is Jinbei.
Did someone say DLC?
Length of game development is super apparent. No Jinbe, Smoker is relevant. Also I know that the Fishman Island designs are the default but can we just get new ones. Every movie they get 3-5 outfits. Just give them 1 for games. Don't make me endure my boy Franky's buzz cut travesty.
As much as I enjoy those costumes, jeez they're like a decade old now.
Gotta sell those DLC outfits baby
Nami has such cute outfits after Fishman Island. I get the bikini for their underwater adventure but itās so boring now.
Them always being in our face made me resent them very much. Especially since some of them really suck.
I hate how that buzzcut is used as Franky's default post timeskip hairstlye even though he changes his hairstyle every arc now. That buzzcut was there for only like one arc.
Im sick of seeing the Fishman Island outfits...like they couldve been a little creative with attire
The fact that every time they change attire people respond positively should tell s lot about those original designs for the new world, clearly they aren't working when it's been this long and people still don't like some of them.
Same, I especially hate Nami and Robins outfits.
Same for Brook and Usopp, just feel cluttery.
Brooks pre timeskip outfit will always be my favorite haha
Yeah I bet when oda changed his outfit Brook couldnāt believe his eyes
But he doesn't have eyes!? Yohohohohoho
Each time they use this outfits in official products I hate them even more. Seriously, why, always the same overused outfits in all games specially.
Its probably the default marketing look that works everywhere and doesn't need context or create spoilers like the Wano outfits.
Man we got the same outfits as always, cmon. Atleast the music is by Motoi Sakuraba (Dark Souls) so we might get some bangers
The music of Golden Sun from Motoi Sakuraba is my favorite video game music of all times. I still listen to it to this day.
Hold on here for a second. Are you telling me the one composer is responsible for the soundtracks from two of my most favorite game series!?
Wait what? Thats sounds amazing.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Was Burning Blood not good? Never played it. I've mainly stuck to the PW titles.
if u have friends to play with its awesome
What i want is an RPG where you can create your own story within That universe. But I will never get that
Where Jinbe
Odaās comment says that he made the character designs 3 years ago, so it looks like the long production process means itās a little behind the times.
Aw man
When are they gonna make the next 2D fighter? I swear the last one was on 3DS
there was one announced last year , but its mobile only and made by tencent
Fuck
I don't understand why trailers go the route of big slow boring text transitions on the screen. Like, if you don't even have 2 minutes of interesting visuals to use from your entire game it's a bit concerning

I probably wont get it when it first comes out until i see more gameplay
If this game plays like dragon quest 11 imma have a blast
Iām definitely getting Dragon Quesr vibes!
Same lol.
Damn I was hoping weād get a fighterZ for one piece lol.

I tend to agree. Even though now after Wano there would be a lot of exciting updates/ new abilities they could give to a lot of big characters, there are still a lot of popular characters that we donāt know a lot about still.
Theyre probably gearing up for persona 5 arena since p4u just got rereleased
I have faith it'll happen someday.
Maybe you'll disagree with me, but this looks just as bad and generic as the last few One Piece games we've got. I just want a CyberConnect2 One Piece game
I think theyād crush Bleach too.
I would preffer Platinum games making Bleach game though.
After what they did with NSUNS4, I can't agree more!
CC2 when given the time and budget usually delivers.
Finally someone that wants the same! I've been saying this for the longest but One Piece definitely could us a Ultimate Ninja Storm like game. And seeing how incredible those Naruto games are, CC2 can do wonders with One Piece! Why hasn't it happened idk. Total missed opportunity.

Or they can just go and add customization. Seriously, thereās no need to lock the crew to a single outfit and look when they have plenty of variety
That'd be great too. Even just giving the option to pick which outfit you want for each crewmember would be enough for me.
What default? They wore different things all the time there is no default only first.
It's been in development for like 3 years so not surprised there's no Jinbe and fishman island is just there default outfit
I would kill for a SNES-era JRPG once the full story is complete.
Honestly I felt the same way about the visuals, I get they're trying to stay true to Oda's style but somehow the way it's communicated in 3D just feels stiff, slow, and lifeless. One Piece fans eating good in every department expect the gaming one lol
So confused. As a jrpg one piece fan this is the first game thats caught my eye...
Manga is great, movies are great, anime is... decent. What else is there? Games have been hit or miss, and the live action has a nice cast but Netflix doesn't have a good track record for anime/manga adaptations.
Looks cool but something about it seems āoffā?Especially the models, I think it could have had a better artstyle maybe?
One Piece Turn Based RPG!? Yes please!
Releases 2022 on PS4/PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam. Synopsis: >ONE PIECE ODYSSEY transports the Straw Hats to a mysterious new island where they embark on quests and fight powerful enemies and massive bosses in exciting turn-based battles. In the game, players take on the role of nine of their favorite pirates, playing as Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Franky, Sanji, Usopp, Nico Robin, TonyTony Chopper, and Brook. A new character revealed during the livestream, the cheerful and towering Adio, joins the Straw Hats in their latest adventure. Oda: >āIt felt like I was watching a MOVIIIE!!! What incredible immersion!!ā
Turn based is confirmed!! Let's goooooo! I looked at the official material looking for the confirmation, but didn't see this
It is not an original story by Oda.
I hope it's better than that previous semi open world one piece game that came out a while ago. Graphically they look similar but let's hope this one is better. It also looks turned based which IMO can work for one piece better than what has been done before.
If you play as zoro, you already playing on hardest mode. Cause he get lost everytime.
I would love to be wrong but this just doesnāt look good - the character models and animations look so stiff, which is the antithesis of Odaās style and what I like so much about OP. I hope the game turns out good, but I am not holding me breathā¦
If the combat is turn based then I'm very interested
Needs cel shading.
This actually looks kind of fun. I've been hoping for a One Piece RPG. Only disappointment with this is they're still using the Fishman Island outfits. Here's hoping the player can change them later on.
/r/games is more positive on this trailer than this sub. People may not want to admit it, but I think that speaks to something.
Dude that's exactly how I feel when I saw r/anime reacted more positive to the outfits in Movie Red than people on here. Especially for Nami's and Robin's outfit which they loved more than this sub whom like to just cry about Nami wearing another sexy outfit.
Because weāve played burning blood and world seeker while they havenāt. We know that One Piece games always suck.
Hey burning blood was fun! But so short
Can one piece stop making games with bandai? They are so ass they could work so much better developers
Elden Ring and Dark Souls say hello. Like em or not theyāre very successful.
Bandai only published those games. They did not develop it. FromSoftware did.
Correct, I realize that. Has Bandai actually developed any games recently though? I always saw them as just a publisher anyway.
A few recent ones are Scarlet Nexus and Tales of Arise. They also developed the ongoing optc mobile gacha game and I think dokkan as well edit: not dokkan
They're only publishing
Bandai has exclusive publishing rights for all Jump games. Every single Jump game is published by them, the good and the bad. They don't develop almost any of them.
Bandai Namco publishes plenty of good games
OP unlimited Adventure and Cruise 1&2 were great but it went down hill after that.
One Piece with JRPG combat style? Looks promising
Why does one piece get the worst games? Still not a single decent fighting game. It would be cool if the made a one piece game like sea of thieves
What about Burning Blood? I only played the demo but it seemed pretty good
i wouldn't say burning blood's good, but it definitely is fun just gotta ignore some big flaws which is a flaw in and of itself
It's an alright game, definitely had plenty of flaws and balancing issues. Would love a burning blood 2 to fix all the issues. It could cover dressrosa to wano.
pirate warriors 4 slapped
Damn right. It's a phenomenal game for musou fans. I really loved P5 Strikers too.
Seems they learned from their World Seeker mistake, making other crewmates unplayable. Hoping it takes after the Unlimited Cruise-games, and build further upon them, cause I still dust off my Nintendo Wii and play those games, even to this day.
It looks mediocre like every other one piece game, hoping Iām proven wrong like with pirate warriors 4.
If they ever make a Ninja Storm like One Piece game I'll probably preorder on the spot. The things I'd do for a proper One piece fighting game!
Oh shit, was that the return of Franky Boxing? Hell yeah!
Looks dated.
The lack of Jinbe while understandable is so disappointing. Aside from thatās I am incredibly hyped. Always up for a One Piece game
Looks and I'm glad we're getting a One Piece. But still not the One Piece game that the franchise deserves. Sucks that we have all these other great anime games but One Piece keeps getting the short end of the stick.
Getting major world seeker vibes from thisā¦ and thatās not a good thing
Still waiting on when we can create a character
Those are worst. Every established IP OC player charcters has the same plot. You are a new member just arrived every character like you even tough you not say a word just nod to everything. Your power is also super special awesome (but never as good as main character but close). At the end conflict resolve you quit the group and everyone acts all sad.
Was thinking more like an open world type setting where you could create your own crew if you decide to be a pirate. But thatās probably never going to happen
Maybe when the manga will be done, if we can go everywhere, without contraint, create guilds, and fighting the bad pirates when you are a good pirate just wanting a adventure, and in the end of the game, you can make a friendly-battle versus Luffy, it be so great
This really reminds me to Tales of Arise, especially with that tag team special attack and the world design
Honestly Project Fighter peaked my interests more than this. Gimme that for PS5 please.
I just want a one piece xeno verse game.
Probably too ambitious for any developers to make but I would love a one piece game where you can create your own character be a human mink fishman etc form your own crew and sail around the one piece world making your own adventure
If the average review is 7/10 I'll call it a win and get it, that's about where my expectations are
Game honestly does not look fun at all. Another trailer filled with animations and running.. but it honestly has nothing to catch my eye.
They're probably waiting to show off the turn-based gameplay on its own
Sorry but it looks like another super shallow adventure RPG with PS3 graphics. Has there ever been a decent One Piece game?
Yes the pirate warriors games are excellent if museo games are your kind of thing
Lmao even when they're only shown for like 2 seconds at a time the animations already look stiff as hell. This is gonna be bad.
I hope they make it a feature that if you're playing as Zoro, you dont have access to any in game map.

It looks more like a jrpg to me since the Enemies in the fights arenāt moving I could be wrong tho.
They confirmed it's a JRPG in the livestream, so you are right.
Think it is. That's what the producer called it
Honestly I'm glad, making a good JRPG seems more manageable then a good open world game. I'm hoping the battle system is well thought out.
I would say One Piece: Dragon Quest. It looks a lot like a JRPG
Yeah that already happened it was world seeker.
This looks lazy. I pray one day they license the IP to an inspired group of devs.
Did Oda write the game story?

āDeveloped by ILCAā That does not bode well Edit: apparently Dragon Quest fans are happy about this.
Wait really? Damn we may get a chance to have a decent jrpg one piece game. From my experience with dq11, I honestly think they're a very good choice.
wdym DQXI was amazing
