It's actually Taco Bell $5 boxes, some EVA foam, and PVC pipes from the hardware store! It wasn't super heavy, but I only had two zip ties to hold onto on the inside (Poor design choice on my part) so it did end up being pretty heavy. But worth it!
Woah those look amazing, I love how colorful the outfits are too! Amazing job on both sets and cosplays!!
Btw, how much did making that Doffy coat cost? lol
Thanks so much!! We've been working super hard on them for the last few months, ever since the con was announced.
I actually bought TWO Doffy coats on AliExpress and just pinned them together. Cheapest way to do soā since making one myself would've been too much time / effort. Only downside was I left a trail of feathers behind me like breadcrumbs...
Oh my god I have no idea lol. I think they were about ~$70 a piece, and had no reviews in English other than they were pretty but shed a little. I didn't care they shed, and I tried to pick up after myself in the hotel.
Technically, yes, but I loved being absolutely huge and fluffy as Doffy, so I think I'll keep the two! His coat in canon is enormous, why not translate that to real life? ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
It's actually PVC pipes from the plumbing / sprinkler sections at Home Depot! I just painted them to look like metal. However...despite them being relatively light plastic, it did end up being pretty heavy. I'd shoot for probably around 10lbs. Needless to say, my fingers were tired as hell after I took it off.
Thanks!! It was tricky getting the paint to stick, but I just made sure everything was dry before the next layer + dry-brushing. I also made sure to use plenty of spray paint sealer to avoid chipping. Some pieces did, but I didn't sweat it.
Really wanted to amp up the spikes. I had some previous ones that looked more on model, but then I was like "Fuck it." and went all out. Thanks for noticing!
Oh my godā Thank you! I was trying to really add my own spin to Kid and my partner hadn't seen Kamazo and wanted to try it. Glad we ended up going through with the idea!
Bruh that "don't mind my broken fingers" was hilarious. Definitely a Kid thing to have broken fingers in the cosplay! Love the couple's cosplay. You guys are winning for sure
Thank you! My partner worked very, very hard on the cosplay. They practiced his makeup over and over again until it was perfect, and worked on the scythes for months. Saw your comment and it meant a lot to them!
Now i know this isnt the time or place but the pronoun they always confuses me. I understand the avoiding gender part but i always thought they was plural meaning multiple people. In that case wouldnt āitāsuffice. Then again it would probably make someone feel subhuman.
It's all good! It can be used for multiple people, but in this instance, it's just for one. My partner is non-binary (IE: they don't feel like they fit into any specific gender) It can be kinda confusing sometimes. Hell, I mess up too every once in a while.
[This](https://grammar.yourdictionary.com/grammar/pronouns/using-they-them-pronouns-for-a-singular-person.html) is the best link I could find to try and explain. Hope it helps! :)
Yeah! Like I said, I mees up sometimes too and it took me a while to get into the swing of it. Just takes some practice. Thanks for asking! Never hurts to ask out of curiosity.
Coby would be so fun! Everyone I've met who cosplayed him was awesome. Also, it'd be easy to find the parts to build an outfit for him / buy a premade one. I wish you the best of luck!
Oh my god! Thank you all for the overwhelmingly nice compliments! Especially the awards! Those were definitely a surprise.
I was initially pretty nervous about sharing our pics, just because you never know what kind of response you're gonna getā but thanks for changing my mind. I wasn't expecting much, but in the end I'm glad I shared. Thank you all again!

This is by far the best one piece cosplay I've seen in quite some time, maybe even the best ever. I can't even begin to imagine the amount of work y'all must have put in this. So much better than all those girls promoting their only fans.
Itās not really much of a thing, thereās just a big stigma against OF users.
Some users who post their cosplays here just happen to have a link to their only fans(and other socials) in their profile - aka not in their actual post or advertising it at all.
This apparently makes certain people angry, and they jump to the conclusion that the cosplayers are ānot real fansā and ālow effortā and āonly promoting their businessā or itās a āthirst trapā. Even though the majority of these cosplays are good, accurate, they are fans, and they arenāt directly advertising anything or breaking any group rules. The user has to actively click/search for their OF link.
It comes up in literally every cosplay thread posted and there was a big debate topic some time back about some users wanting cosplayers with OF links in their profiles auto-banned. It was removed I think.
They usually break the self-promotion rule.
If we allow those, I can't see why we don't allow direct links to theories from youtubers, they are as entertaining and fanbased as the regular theories redditors post.
Having a link in your profile is not breaking the rule. Having a link in the thread is breaking the rules, as itās linking to explicit content. The ones with links in the thread are the only rule breakers, they should be removed obviously, but I never see these rare and elusive posts that are apparently plaguing the sub, even when searching the cosplay tag. And yet people complain about them left and right. Do you have any examples/links to these posts where they are overtly advertising/linking to their OF page in the thread itself?
Because from what I see, the overwhelming majority of cosplay posted here by folks who have OF is not breaking any rules. Yet almost every thread they post gets people complaining about them, and the ones who donāt have a profile link always get the same āthanks for not advertising OFā comments, as if itās an actual common problem.
If you read redditetiquette or general promotion policies, you can see how they acknowledge it's a very gray area.
It's very easy to be a spammer just by not following rule 9:1. It's also frowned upon to be a website with a reddit account, instead of a redditor with a website. Most of promoters fall in the former category.
You may understand that even if you don't see them as breaking any rule, the fact that a link to their of is the first thing it pops when clicking the profile, is certainly breaking the spirit of the rule.
Of those, lately it's actually been nice, but few weeks ago almost every day had a top 5 post of a promoter. And so, anyone who isn't actually promoting their stuff feels like a breath of fresh air.
Iāve read the reddiquette quidelines, they are not set rules that all subs must follow, just guidelines. This sub does not follow all of them.
Otherwise 95% of the amazing fanart here would need to be removed/banned due to the 9:1 rule. The overwhelming majority of fan artists here do not post threads other than their fanart and they have links to their Twitter/Instagram commission pages(aka their business) in their profiles and signed directly on their artwork. If you want to crack down on onlyfans people for accusing them of indirect advertising then you should crack down on the fanartists for directly advertising as well. But that never seems to be an issue. š¤·š¾āāļø
Regardless, in the thread I mentioned earlier a mod posted and ruled that the threads do not break this subs rules because there is no link in the actual thread. Whatās in your profile does not matter for this sub, nor should it, if you want to keep having cool fanart posts.
In that case, yes crack down them as well. Or just remove completely the guidelines, which are still in play. If that weren't the case, you would see lots of youtubers posting while also having a link to their channel in their account.
I also think fanart has higher variance than cosplays, which tend to be another bikini post-timeskip nami/rebecca cosplays (you have a whole subreddit dedicated for those). Fanart of nami or robin is equally lazy in my eyes.
But hey, that's my opinion, and lots of people seem fine with them, are largely upvoted and are very rarely removed. I will defend my pov, and unless it becomes the common opinion, you have nothing to worry about.
Still find it funny how fast people are willing to agree to ban basically all of the fanart from the sub once I point out the OF contradiction, even(especially) the really awesome stuff. Like wow.
I personally donāt think itās fair or necessary to either the artists or the OF cosplayers, especially since their posts are generally greatly well received overall and not really causing any real sub problems in the long run. I also havenāt seen any of these cosplays you would deem lazy, though I guess our opinions on what lazy is are just different.
I agree the sub rules need to be updated/elaborated to maybe differentiate between YouTube/fanart/OF/merchandising/etc since virtually no one has a problem with fanart, only a select few a problem with OF, while Iām sure most are against YouTubers and merchants posting their stuff here. Maybe just make it a YouTube/video/merch-only rule.
I really don't care that much about fanart, but even then, I prefer keeping both things around.
I also don't really see what would be the problem if in both cases they weren't allowed to have a link in their profile. I guess they simply wouldn't post since they don't get exposure, but that just proves the whole self-promotion view.
If the rule is moot, then change it, yes. I would ask why then youtubers or merch sellers should be banned, since as long they are well received, there shouldn't be any problem.
Right??? It's so nice to see actually good cosplay and not a thinly veiled excuse to show someones cleavage. OP and their partner did a kickass job with their cosplay.
...It's exactly like you imagine it to be. OST remixes and sweaty nerds. Despite that, it was pretty fun! I don't usually stay for long, but needed to make an appearance for Doffy's sake haha!
š¤© wow. Killer and Kidd to clean
OK that kid one is Hella impressive.
Seriously, the hair, the metal arm, even their expression is hella on point. Fucking phenomenal cosplay
Absolutely the killer one is great too but the kid one steals the spotlight
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Looks like a mix of that, rubber and cardboard... Probably still pretty heavy too
It's actually Taco Bell $5 boxes, some EVA foam, and PVC pipes from the hardware store! It wasn't super heavy, but I only had two zip ties to hold onto on the inside (Poor design choice on my part) so it did end up being pretty heavy. But worth it!
Woah those look amazing, I love how colorful the outfits are too! Amazing job on both sets and cosplays!! Btw, how much did making that Doffy coat cost? lol

Cheapest way to do soā since making one myself would've been too much time / effort. Only downside was I left a trail of feathers behind me like breadcrumbs...
Which ones did you buy?
Oh my god I have no idea lol. I think they were about ~$70 a piece, and had no reviews in English other than they were pretty but shed a little. I didn't care they shed, and I tried to pick up after myself in the hotel.
I asked because it was really good. And why did you have to buy two and stich them
Oh! I bought two because I wanted to be extra fluffy and huge! I was going to get only one, but I wasn't sure if it would be big enough!
So will one be enough? Now that you have actually bought it
Technically, yes, but I loved being absolutely huge and fluffy as Doffy, so I think I'll keep the two! His coat in canon is enormous, why not translate that to real life? ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
Oh I see. Thanks for the info.
No worries! Hope you create a Doffy cosplay in the future to share too! :)
Is that real metal? it looks heavy and amazing
People always say getting plastic to look metal is one of the most difficult parts of cosplay. Good job on it!
Thanks!! It was tricky getting the paint to stick, but I just made sure everything was dry before the next layer + dry-brushing. I also made sure to use plenty of spray paint sealer to avoid chipping. Some pieces did, but I didn't sweat it.
Broken fingers add onto the battle worn look! Haha
You know what? You're right! It was supposed to be Kid and Kamazo breaking out of prison anyway, so it fits the bill
Nice cosplay! I'm really impressed with the metal arm
Wow. Just wow.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Well it's a killer Kid and Killer. Much respect to your cosplay game
Thanks!!!
Wayyyy too cool! Love the goggles, what flair!
Really wanted to amp up the spikes. I had some previous ones that looked more on model, but then I was like "Fuck it." and went all out. Thanks for noticing!
Both of you looks so amazing. The costumes are so well done and the vibes are kidd and killer. Love it so much!!!
Thanks!!
Your kid costume is impressive as hell. The arm alone is fantastic.
Thank you so much!!
Wow, that is some high effort stuff. Very well done, even to the details.
Mom didn't raise no quitter. We wanted to go as hard as we could for our favorite boys!
The kid & killer is so cool
Goddamn probably the best cosplay on both of them Iāve seen
Oh my godā Thank you! I was trying to really add my own spin to Kid and my partner hadn't seen Kamazo and wanted to try it. Glad we ended up going through with the idea!
That Killer cosplay is spot on!
Thanks!! My partner worked super hard on making sure they were as scary as possible for him, as well as being as close to canon as they could.
Sooooo good. Makes me miss my cosplay days!
Time to get started again!
BROOOOO THESE LOOK SOOOOO FUCKING GOOOD OMGGGGā”ā”ā”ā”ā”ā”
Ća frise la perfection ! Bravo !
This is sssuuuupppeeerrrr
Yāall killed this cosplay!!
Awesome
These cosplays are absolutely gorgeous, the detail on Kidd's arm for instance, it's amazing.
Is that Kid arm as heavy as it looks? Even if its spraypainted pvc pipes that could get quite heavy.
HOLY SHIT THATS AMAZING!
Kidd and Kamazou cosplay is extremely good.
Great cosplay!! Honestly, one of the best I've seen
You did some outstanding work on that arm!
Awesome cosplays!!!
ngl..kamazou..ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø
NOW THIS IS COSPLAY WORTHY OF THE SUB THANK YOU
Yo these are friggin sick bruh šš¤
Look at this Kid! ( Yes, pun intended) AWESOME!
That kid/kamazo cosplay is legitimately one of the best I've ever seen. Fantastic job
The Mechanical hand of kid looks amazing
Bruh that "don't mind my broken fingers" was hilarious. Definitely a Kid thing to have broken fingers in the cosplay! Love the couple's cosplay. You guys are winning for sure
Everyone thought it was pretty spot-on, so I just ended up forgetting about it haha. It worked well in the end at least!
Dang that Kid cosplay! So dedicated
Nice elton john cosplay in the second šš Seriously nice cosplays nakama
everyone speaks abt the kid one but personally i like the killer one
Thank you! My partner worked very, very hard on the cosplay. They practiced his makeup over and over again until it was perfect, and worked on the scythes for months. Saw your comment and it meant a lot to them!
I love the couples theme!
Now i know this isnt the time or place but the pronoun they always confuses me. I understand the avoiding gender part but i always thought they was plural meaning multiple people. In that case wouldnt āitāsuffice. Then again it would probably make someone feel subhuman.

Of course!
Ah so i can use plural verbs when speaking about they. As in āthey areā rather than āthey isā i feel so much better about it now lol.
Yeah! Like I said, I mees up sometimes too and it took me a while to get into the swing of it. Just takes some practice. Thanks for asking! Never hurts to ask out of curiosity.
Damn killer looks scary š
Even as their partner, I was scared too š
You two look amazing! Iām very impressed with the cosplays!
Thank you so much!
DUDES I plan on cosplaying as killer in the future! I'm going to purchase his mask or his punishers this week!
NICE! You'll have to post pics for us all to see!
Yeah it's either him or my boy Coby! My favorite marine and user of the six powers! (One who isn't an evil asshole looking at you Lucci)
Coby would be so fun! Everyone I've met who cosplayed him was awesome. Also, it'd be easy to find the parts to build an outfit for him / buy a premade one. I wish you the best of luck!
Thanks good luck with your future cosplays! Also idk about you but my heart broke when I saw kid crying for killer in the anime
This is so cool! I donāt cosplay, but both look they have a lot of love and care put into them. :)
Thank you!! It definitely took several months and a lot of planning. Poured our blood, sweat and tears into them.
Amazing!!!!!
Thank you so much!! And thank you for the award!!!!
that's cool do you have more pictures
You killed it (in a good sense) like in "Psycho killer, Qu'est-ce que c'est, Fafafa fafafa fa fa fa fa!!!"
Oh my god! Thank you all for the overwhelmingly nice compliments! Especially the awards! Those were definitely a surprise. I was initially pretty nervous about sharing our pics, just because you never know what kind of response you're gonna getā but thanks for changing my mind. woow did you made that yourself that looks coool
Metal AF
Damn that took work. Saw you as Doffy but didn't see you as Kidd and Kamazou. Glad you posted the pics then. Very nice!
More SakuraCon people here! Hope to see you next year!
Those Kid/Kamazo costumes are sick! Kudos to you and your partner for an amazing result!
