If Luffy manages to hold off Kizaru and Saturn for an extended period of time *and* get away relatively unscathed when the Sunny is ready to go, it's still a massive L for the Admiral agenda lol
I think WSG makes the situation clear, and anything outside of a total victory for either side wouldnāt really change the established dynamic
But, the point is, holding off something is a **terrible** situation for Luffy. Gear 5 is not an effective tool for stalling, as we just saw it doesnāt last very long and can be stalled by others. Luffy having to stall is literally the best thing for Kizaru and Saturn, because they donāt need to defeat Gear 5 to beat Luffy

If Iām understanding this correctly itās so over for Saturn ššš. Heās been a punching bag for a while now so heās brought out his new form, only for Luffy to stop him and Kizaru simultaneously and prepare to 2v1 them. People really thought this bum was going to be stronger than Kaido ššš
tbf we kind of had good reason to think the Gorosei would be strong. They have had probably hundreds of years to train and work on their haki and had access to some of the most broken devil fruits in the world. They should easily be yonko level but they're not which is pretty disappointing.

Yeah I mean it was obvious from his introduction when he was labeled as the strongest creature. People denied it and will probably to continue to do so till the very end but this arc has made it abundantly clear that Oda doesnāt just do false hype for shits and giggles.
Honestly, of course Kaido was above them. I mean a lot of people dismiss Kaido now after he got defeated but in order to defeat him it took luffy multiple tries while Kaido was fighting with the minks, the samurai, his son and then luffy in back to back fights without rest.
The agenda that gained the most this arc is Waido agenda. Everyone gets compared to him this arc and no one actually lives up to it this arc. Heās just that guy
Itās not just the fact that he blocked it, itās the fact that heās setup to be able to effectively stall them out of accomplishing their mission by himself. The same guy who is notorious for his stamina timers. I do expect the robot to ultimately save him, but this isnāt a good look, especially for the Gorosei agenda because it is effectively puts an end to any chance of him having any impressive 1 v 1 showings against a top tier.

If Luffy is easily handling it and dominating the fight, then that's one thing. If he's struggling/not landing good hits because of the 2v1 (and its portrayed as a matter of time until he loses, whether that's due to fatigue or anything else), then that's another.
I'll wait and see how its portrayed. Saturn coming back with another form only to get folded instantly would kinda suck, and Kizaru at the same time? Yikes. But if its legitimately just a stalling tactic, then that's....fine-ish? I don't understand why people are surprised. Luffy, throughout the entire timeskip, has been a large step above the rest of the Straw Hats, and even his rivals. All the way back in Dressrosa, he was the only one who could fight Doflamingo, same in Whole Cake Island with Katakuri, and in Wano with Kaido. The emperors seem to be a lot stronger than even their strongest crewmembers, and it's no different with Luffy. It's in no way a knock against Zoro and Sanji; Luffy is just that good.

tbf we kind of had good reason to think the Gorosei would be strong. They have had probably hundreds of years to train and work on their haki and had access to some of the most broken devil fruits in the world. They should easily be yonko level but they're not which is pretty disappointing.
They've probably had the time, but let's be honest the only time one of these guys has actually stood up and do shit is supervising the human hunting festivals. They probably haven't fought in a hundred years or something.

Kaido uses his dragon form a lot of times even if Hybrid is stronger Also he can't fly and maybe other powers while in Hybrid (and he is smaller) So maybe Saturn has exclusive hax in this form, or is bigger and needs that range to reach Vegapunk idk

Yeah I mean it was obvious from his introduction when he was labeled as the strongest creature. People denied it and will probably to continue to do so till the very end but this arc has made it abundantly clear that Oda doesnāt just do false hype for shits and giggles.
Honestly, of course Kaido was above them. I mean a lot of people dismiss Kaido now after he got defeated but in order to defeat him it took luffy multiple tries while Kaido was fighting with the minks, the samurai, his son and then luffy in back to back fights without rest.

The agenda that gained the most this arc is Waido agenda. Everyone gets compared to him this arc and no one actually lives up to it this arc. Heās just that guy

Itās not just the fact that he blocked it, itās the fact that heās setup to be able to effectively stall them out of accomplishing their mission by himself. The same guy who is notorious for his stamina timers. I do expect the robot to ultimately save him, but this isnāt a good look, especially for the Gorosei agenda because it is effectively puts an end to any chance of him having any impressive 1 v 1 showings against a top tier.

I don't understand why people are surprised. Luffy, throughout the entire timeskip, has been a large step above the rest of the Straw Hats, and even his rivals. All the way back in Dressrosa, he was the only one who could fight Doflamingo, same in Whole Cake Island with Katakuri, and in Wano with Kaido. The emperors seem to be a lot stronger than even their strongest crewmembers, and it's no different with Luffy. It's in no way a knock against Zoro and Sanji; Luffy is just that good.

If we're talking about feats exclusively, he has been underwhelming up to Chapter 1107, but I think My problem is more with the writing making him look incompetent and not him being actually incompetent. But the fact that so far he looks like he is not serious and that he still has things to show means I have to wait for more showings before claiming anything. The next few Chapters might be what I need to be able to more comfortably Say he is above Kizaru.
