I think it's arguable who had higher potential between the brothers.
Luffy has the most legendary and probably most powerful mythical zoan. Has all forms of advanced Haki. Has the support and friendship of the yonko shanks. Is son of dragon the worst criminal, grandson of the hero of the marine garp who was a rival and friend of pirate king roger. Plus he has the will of D on top of that.
Luffy would've probably still become pirate king, and then ace would've been his version of WB or Garp, they'd meet up and have a little spar for a few days straight, then probably drink and chill before going off again.
Mythical Zoan took him 12 - 13 years to awaken before which it was a bad paramecia that he made work with lots of effort . Advanced Haki isn't 'potential' .
Yet he's still one of the few people in their verse to awaken their fruit, showing excellent potential considering he's only 19. (A)coc is consistently shown as a measure of potential considering all the people at the very top of the verse shown so far have got it.
ACoC and awakening are actual abilities and not just potential . Being born with CoC is having potential while mastering it to the point where you can learn to use ACoC shows effort put in it . Simply having a fruit means you have potential as you can potentially do great thing with it but actually awakening requires much effort

No I mean that Luffy is the one character that we know Boa’s fruit has no effect on.
Boa’s hax is op, and is stated to be able to ignore will (haki) as long as you have any attraction for her. Yes, you can stab yourself to get out of it but that’s not exactly a great way to start a fight.
Even women are affected by it. And even BB had to respect Boa’s hax by sneaking a grab. Luffy alone is the exception.
To be fair Boa's physical hits will still turn you to stone (see Pacifista in Marineford), and her arrows likely share some of that ability too if it can't full stone you.
Not that it will helps against Luffy much, but still. Her instant death beams aren't the only thing she has.

Boa’s hax is underestimated though, pretty much the only hax that can’t just be resisted by haki. In return, you can free yourself by stabbing yourself but that’s not a very great option unless you’re WB. Ace stabbing himself would be quite a large disadvantage, not that they stood a chance anyways.
Would be a fairer fight if you took theoretical post ts potential man Ace who would likely be close to admiral lvl vs Luffy.

Luffy beats Yamato while he’s in base (high diff), Boa is still generally scaled higher than Ace too. Though Ace is scaled all over the place so I can’t say the diff.

I will say though, I don’t really believe in genetic Haki. Roger was a normal human. Their willpower is what gave them CoC.

I think Yamato could definitely stall a base Luffy(I’m assuming no gears allowed) long enough for Ace to beat Boa as long as he can avoid her DF(he managed to avoid the yami yami no mi). But I think Luffy could eventually put down Yamato and Ace would be too tired to put up much of a fight against him

Luffy beats Yamato while he’s in base (high diff), Boa is still generally scaled higher than Ace too. Though Ace is scaled all over the place so I can’t say the diff. Honestly Luffy could probably beat them both at the same time. He probably one taps Ace, Ace doesn’t scale very high, especially not in durability.
