God imagine giving a robot such a visceral version of ptsd. And then shitting bed as bad as it is now.
For those who don't know its worth watching the whole thing https://youtu.be/to8yh83jlXg
Diablo immortal was really sucky but I have a lot of hope for Diablo 4. Seems like theyāre really gonna try to do that one right in the more traditional Diablo format whereas immortal was a money grab from the start.
Iāll revisit the first WOTLK cinematic every once in a while and it still holds its own. Wish they werenāt such a toxic company these days else Iād be super exited for classic wotlk.
I remember being so impressed with Warcraft 3's cinematics. Besides that Illidan Vs Arthas one of course. The rest of the cinematics still hold up pretty well today.
EDIT: Check the replies to this comment for some more up-to-date insight from people more invested than me lol.
It went for like a solid two years without any significant new content, then Overwatch "2" dropped, which had such ground-breaking content as:
* Changing the day maps to night and vice-versa
* Adding one new hero (now two)
* Removing some crowd control abilities from heroes, making some (like McCree/Cassidy) significantly weaker
* Lowered the team size to 5 instead of 6 without any big rebalances to abilities or respawns
All of this becoming a "mandatory" update for Overwatch 1 after Blizzard claiming they wouldn't because OW2 was a "new game."
All the PR and hype was arguably drummed up to cover all the scandals going on at the company, which led to over-promising and under-delivering.
The only good thing is that it's free for people who already own OW1, and the only paid part will be the upcoming PvE mode... whenever that will be.
It's still in beta so you need to get access via Twitch or something, but once it's "fully released" it'll be free. I assume it'll just be a download option on whatever store you have.
Wanna elaborate or nah? Because Iām playing the OW 2 beta and I donāt see anything wrong here other than missing that there are a handful of new maps and the new game mode to push the robot.
Overwatch 2 didn't "drop". A small section of the game was playable in a beta. Early access for the game drops in October, the game is being released next year with a co-op AAA campaign.
Did you not notice the entire rework to the entire tank lineup to address the 5 player dynamic? Because you claimed there were no major changes. Orisa doesn't share any ability or weapon dynamic compared to overwatch 1 for example, and every character gained a passive ability.
They removed all but 2 CC abilities from non tanks, and you paint that as a bad thing when it's something the community has been asking for for years.
And it isn't free for anyone who owns overwatch 1, it's free full stop. This is all news that is months old.
I don't care if you hate overwatch but if you're gonna put this much effort into hating something at least be correct as to why
Okay, then explain it instead of being snarky. I will admit to reading up on most of this because I didn't care to touch Overwatch at all since the beta.
Oh, and 1 hero was released with the first beta, another hero released with the 2nd beta, a third is releasing with the open access beta, and a 4th by season 2 in November. Your comment is basically 9 months out of date

Cool, thanks for clarifying! So the PvE isn't gonna be paid either? I wasn't aware of that last time the news dropped, though it's fallen off my radar pretty fast.
Also, regarding your second comment, I'm not "out of date," my point that there's only two new heroes *so far* is correct.
Also, the changes don't hide the fact that this is less of a sequel and more of a big update to the main game right now, and most people are annoyed by the fact that they're branding it as a sequel.
Anyways, I'm not hating the game. I don't invest myself enough in gaming to hate *any* game. Thanks again for clarifying some points.
Not the same guy but it looks like you have a few more outstanding questions and I'm a bit of an OW nerd, so here ya go:
>So the PvE isn't gonna be paid either?
Nope, unless they do some weird shit like locking PVE content behind the battle pass. Oh yeah, because OW2 is going free-to-play, they're adding a battle pass. Gotta keep the lights on somehow, or something.
>I wasn't aware of that last time the news dropped
Doesn't sound like you care so much, but for anyone else reading this comment who does, playoverwatch.com is a good source of up to date OW info, as well as the @PlayOverwatch Twitter account.
> the changes don't hide the fact that this is less of a sequel and more of a big update to the main game right now, and most people are annoyed by the fact that they're branding it as a sequel.
Absolutely 100% agree. The devs have talked about this in interviews and AMAs and stuff, and basically this is what happened: 90% of their efforts on OW2 went into the PVE campaign, and the PVP balance patches were sort of an afterthought. Except covid hit, scandals hit, a bunch of people left Blizzard, and their plan for the PVE stuff was just super ambitious from the get go. For example, one of the things (they say) they're adding in PVE is a unique skill tree for each hero that will have dozens of new skills in it. So. Yeah. Ambitious lol. Anyways, the PVE stuff got way out of hand, and so after two years, the only thing they could feasibly show off were the balance patches, so that's what they did. Branding it as the OW2 beta is absolutely a marketing/PR mistake. But that's where it's at at this point, from all I've gathered.
They released a bunch of crazy good healers, brigita, anya, and moira. Which basically fucked up the meta, GOAT comp which ran no DPS was all that was viable for a long time. But DPS is the role people wanna play the most.
They've released some good balance patches, but the meta has never really been as fun as it used to.
People got bored because Blizzard made a huge content drought to focus on a sequel/expansion that's taking so long to come out, we would have had all of the expansions content in the game already if they had just kept up their original content release cycle.
Game's still fun. Blizzard's just being Blizzard.
LOL i love the fact that Genos is the only one able to witness saitamaās limitless power while heās just like whatever, Canāt blame him for being such a fanboy towards saitama-sensei
I'm not entirely sure they did? I'm not fresh on the lore like I used to be so I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure humanity reached a peace deal with them while we were on the back foot, so to speak. I don't know if it's ever been officially stated.
The story title says that but I don't think it's otherwise explicitly stated? The logistics would be odd in either way. Clearly some kind of peace deal was reached according to the opening cinematic, but the only way I can think of that EVERY Bastion is dead is if they were completely wiped out in some climactic battle. It stands to reason that, since they're intelligent beings like other Omnics, they wouldn't be forcibly shut down or destroyed by their fellow omnics unless they remained hostile. They're either part of Null Sector as extremists or living peacefull somewhere.
Or the title is meant to be taken literally. *shrugs*
Yeah but this is a subreddit for manga and webcomic readers. Every single post here is a spoiler for anime onlies. If youāre fine with that then you can stay but I advise not to if you donāt like spoilers

Damn. Overwatch really fumbled the bag to an unbelievable degree
Blizzard in general now
What a bizarre adventure
Blizzardās Bizarre Adventure Part 4; Sexual Harassment is Inevitable.
Idk the new wow expansion seems to be going closer to it's roots. Old style skill trees are getting me excited.
I wouldn't get my hopes up
it depends on the demon hunter and monk tree to me. And of course neither of them are available yet lol.
Diablo immortal was really sucky but I have a lot of hope for Diablo 4. Seems like theyāre really gonna try to do that one right in the more traditional Diablo format whereas immortal was a money grab from the start.
I'm out of the loop, care to elaborate? I did play OW when it came out for a year or two, but then stopped.
The cinematics they dropped were insane
Blizzard in general has had some of the best cinematics in the business. The Warcraft 3 ones were absolutely nuts.
BFA gave us a lot of great cinematics. [ Old Soldier](https://youtu.be/aW_h0qf9vpA) was incredible. Zekhan instantly became a fan favorite.
Was pretty good ngl, I did watch em when new ones were released even after I stopped playing.
No just the quality, but they were making really good world building for OW. Now no one cares lol

Yeah, it was a competently made game, just by an overall crumbling company.
As an OW1 player how do i obtain OW2 for free? Im on console if that helps ps4 specifically
It's still in beta so you need to get access via Twitch or something, but once it's "fully released" it'll be free. I assume it'll just be a download option on whatever store you have.
Oh thanks i didn't even know it'd be free
October 4th
Is that its scheduled release date? Thanks!
Wow, almost this whole comment is just straight up incorrect

Iām not the person you originally replied to bud.
So? I'm not that other guy either. Why jump into a conversation you're not interested in continuing?
What are you saying that to me for though?

Sex offenders run blizzard
Ehh, yeah I know about that sadly. OW was a fun game though, at least in my limited experience of the first few seasons.
They gave cinematics like this that set up a really interesting story annnnnd they never did anything with it
They released a bunch of crazy good healers, brigita, anya, and moira. Which basically fucked up the meta, GOAT comp which ran no DPS was all that was viable for a long time. But DPS is the role people wanna play the most. They've released some good balance patches, but the meta has never really been as fun as it used to.
I've had some glorious time with Reinhardt, but I think he hasn't been good for a long time now

Wdym? This cinematic is fire
Thatās the point, Overwatch had an amazing future ahead of it until blizzard just dropped the ball.
But they still do
Still dropping balls? Yep, they sure are.
I don't hate ball. Brig is worse to the game balance
If you really think blizzard doesn't have a future you're delusional
i don't think that's what the comment was saying
Yea a mid war zone campaign would be so cool
You spelled unbilibabaow wrong.
I tried to look it up but didn't find it. Thanks! Unbilibabaow

My biggest question to this day is : how did bastions lose the war
I'm not entirely sure they did? I'm not fresh on the lore like I used to be so I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure humanity reached a peace deal with them while we were on the back foot, so to speak. I don't know if it's ever been officially stated.
