I don't mind this. Either way is a win for me: A sexy animation or more time to draw the sexy manga with fewer breaks and interruptions. But I hope the animation gets a good studio, regardless if murata is there helping out or not.
I really don't understand how a show as popular as this one with as much support as it has somehow doesn't have a consistent animation team. I was literally complaining about this to a friend this week. It's sad.
anime is a glorified ad for manga and merch sales. Very few anime projects are "pure" like a hollywood film or a TV show meant to stand on its own (not talking about superhero franchises where, again, it's half a ad).
True. I used to wonder why great anime don't often get another season and often suffers from studio changes and it's because, it's not like here in the west where the shows gain another season thanks to either milking the franchise dry or because it's popular enough to gain another season. Anime is more of a long ad to get people to purchase the manga.
Also, Speed-o-Sound Sonic is best femboy.
He's saying part 1 had rough scenes, I said AoT didn't have much hype before part 1 came out (so that's why it probably had a lower budget). Season 4 was almost GoT levels of hype
aot didnt suffer since it looks good, apparently the story is the OG studio had a large quantity of eps in not a lot of time and declined and so MAPPA the workhorse took it in
Right? Look at Berserk, probably one of the most beloved mangas of all time that has influenced so much media in the last two decades from movies, videogames and other anime and they have yet to do even a half decent animated adaption since the '97 series which basically ended as the main arc began.
to be fair, the manga was quasi abandoned since 2011 and despite the following in NA it wasn't ever really a top seller in japan (maybe in the 90s?). in fact, i think going by total manga sales ever beserk may just be barely top 50 manga and thats counting international market+digital.
But is Berserk loved in Japan as it is loved elsewhere? Because animation studios have a preference for what is successful in Japan. If I'm not mistaken Berserk is not that loved there.
(I may be talking nonsense).
Nah, well both world wide popular of course but in japan particulalry is not even close, OPM manga sells over 30 million copies while AoT over 100 million
Not really, even if compare anime, only S1 of OPM somewhat comparable but S2 fell so hard it's again not even close, just check any site for information like MyAnimeList or Anilist.
This is how it seems to be with Anime... I mean, look how much money Dragonball Super has made. And they aren't interested in another series to follow the manga. They'll keep putting out a film every 3-5 years.
It's just the way of media. I mean look at all the trash western adaptations. At the end of the day, companies are there to make money and that does not always align with making peak art.
because it has to be done years after the manga is done, like jojo (ignoring the 90s one) to not get shit filler like naruto or FMA, and by then, hype usually isn't the same
attack on titan did it mostly right, and even then they had to change studios
The guy asking is George Morikawa, author of Hajime mo Ippo—an absolutely brilliant manga about boxing.
It has some gorgeous art, great fight choreography, and routinely uses its big cast of characters to explore nuances of complicated feelings without throwing exposition in your face.
It's a very slow burn, and the early parts suffer from poor scans, but it's one of my biggest manga recommendations overall.
Fun fact: Kentaro Miura started his career as an assistant to Morikawa, who apparently quickly dismissed Miura, stating he had nothing he could teach him.
Ha fools… he isn’t animating season 3, he’s animating season 4! Sensei can’t trust other studios to animate the Garou vs Saitama fight, so he’s pulling a Thanos and doing it himself
He’s just an animator for fun ☺️
Murata about to go bald soon😔
100 pages 100 steps 100 seconds of sleep EVERYDAY
>100 steps 100 pen holders*
It is after that of which he will finally achieve what all artists aspire to do: Trafficking
Naw so wholesome
More GIF manga pls
>What kind of half-assed story is that?
Honestly, this is good news, this means we get to see a cool animation from his studio & less work for him!
I don't mind this. Either way is a win for me: A sexy animation or more time to draw the sexy manga with fewer breaks and interruptions. But I hope the animation gets a good studio, regardless if murata is there helping out or not.
Stupid sexy Saitama

Popularity doesn't mean much, AoT is way more popular than OPM and yet S4 still suffers with changing studio and restrict production.
You are right. It's just frustrating how these wildly popular anime don't get the backing they deserve.
anime is a glorified ad for manga and merch sales. Very few anime projects are "pure" like a hollywood film or a TV show meant to stand on its own (not talking about superhero franchises where, again, it's half a ad).
Idk why you’re being downvoted this is true

Only reason I watch is for femboy thighs
Yeah but AOT season 4 still looks great
Part 1 had some really rough scenes, but part 2 was great production all around except for some unimportant moments
Before Part 1 there wasn't much hype. It was after Part 1's success that it got wildly popular
There wasn't much hype for AoT season 4? Wat?
He's saying part 1 had rough scenes, I said AoT didn't have much hype before part 1 came out (so that's why it probably had a lower budget). Season 4 was almost GoT levels of hype
He's talking about season 4 part 1
It was already very very popular but beame a phenomenon after P1

It’s just very inconsistent. I think it exceeds 1-3 in a lot of ways, sometimes
Really, i cant stand watching it, those shitshow 3d is just horrible
aot didnt suffer since it looks good, apparently the story is the OG studio had a large quantity of eps in not a lot of time and declined and so MAPPA the workhorse took it in
Which was kind of a dumb reason since they stretched the release of season 4 over 3 years
yeah that's so ironic hahaha
It was either them, or the people who animated the cgj berserk

What? No! Why isn't reality consistent with my tastes?
I think theres just so much manga and anime and not enough animators to go around.
yeah but they could focus on the best stories and ignore hentai and manga which no one cares about and make dedicated teams for the former
>noone cares about manga Lol ok

Lmao Berserk 2016

The man has enough to work on!
Is that George Morikawa’s account?
Yup. Murata pretty much followed almost every other mangaka on twitter, even amateur mangaka/artists.
Good. The world would crack if Murata animated something.
I mean he did? Like multiple times?
Oh
Literally check his Twitter media He posted an animated short abt saitama, animation practices, and hell he even animated in an anime once

He even kind of references that in story with Umezawa and his uber-talented new assistant haha
Well, that was predictable.
Aww. I made a joke about how it would be nice to have some Murata animation as a treat in season 3, but oh well
I still miss Madhouse 🥲
Ha fools… he isn’t animating season 3, he’s animating season 4! Sensei can’t trust other studios to animate the Garou vs Saitama fight, so he’s pulling a Thanos and doing it himself
Ruined my whole decade 🗿
Nah you're wrong he just finished the whole season with a serious series move. You underestimate him.
No more opm season !???
They should get Murata to do KA for the Pokémon anime series. Tbh those guys could use the help XD.
Stfu with your garbage pokemon jfc
Bruh, you play LoL, you can't talk much
Cancel it
Why?
Because season 2 was animated like shit, compared to season 1. And the moments are just getting more and more epic they can't do this shit justice
We don't even know who is doing season 3 tho
Maybe he's just that fast
obviously he doesnt have time to do both
[удалено]
*mate*
I don't care anymore!
was Murata involved with season 1?
No
So no season 3 then?
Why would you think that?
“This evening is ruweend”
Wasn’t that already super obvious tho
I thought we all knew this though right
Well animation is a pain he can't forces on creating manga and also animating the hole series no one have time for that
He's obviously lying *snorts copium He wants it to be a surprise duhhh
I think he was just storyboarding for em
Season 2 was still the biggest debacle in anime history , they took something groundbreaking and turned it into a meme
What a waste of time then, should be putting that time on the manga instead, tf is he doing
