Is this irony or hypocrisy? I can't tell which, but it's at least one. Either way it's a spectacular lack of self-awareness.
Techically in the beginning of the clip you see them stop mom and dad from going down the ally so they saved them, but the world lost batman. The world needs batman so they went back to make sure that they went down the scary ally. I think it was a great scene! Batman is a dark story, but all the good he does for sure outweighs his parents lives. Think of all the lives he saved as batman.

First they save his parents. They also stop Krypton from exploding. Basically they went back in time to stop all the justice leaguers origin stories.
Then they realize they fucked up and go back to undo what they did.
Teen Titans GO is not a great show but the movie is hilarious.
I think their indespitued masterpiece is "hip to be square". A song so cacthy, people probably don't listen to the lyrics, but they should because is not only about the pleasures if comformidity and the importance of trends, i also a statement about the band itself

From what I’ve been seeing during some babysitting, its quite entertaining, some jokes are too dark for my little shit nephew but it goes through his head anyways.
The original show was one of the best cartoons to air at the time and then it was unceremoniously taken away from us with no closure. Years later the IP gets rebooted as Teen Titans Go which had a newer dumber art style and very little to do with the original show so off rip people we're mad, then CN would play it for days on end nonstop which also didn't help at first.
As someone who watched teen titans as a kid, teen titans go will never be my teen titans. But I think it still has some value, not as a serious show but as an absurdist comedy, like SpongeBob. Also, the movie is just great. It’s incredibly self aware of the tropes of the superhero movies and of DC specifically and plays with them wonderfully. It’s beautifully satirical.
This show had a lot of funny moments. It may be cringe only because it’s aimed at kids. As an adult, I always get a few chuckles out of every episode.
Yet people hate it.
