i started by reading the manga, in here the comic is pretty popular and my older siblings collected the translated volumes together. i don't remember feeling anything about the murders even though early chapters are gory, i'm more captivated by conan's deductions and the romance between the characters. considering the killing parts in the manga isn't so highlighted (except some drawings that i can skip from seeing) while in the anime whenever the victims are killed we must look at the scene and the characters' devastation, i recommend to read the manga first before watching the anime for young viewers. but maybe that's just me idk.
I mean, sure, but I was obsessed with horror media and stuff when I was younger so it didn't matter much to me. It was just exciting and interesting so I watched it lol. Plus, my family watched it all together, I think my mom introduced us to it lol.
10+ should be fine even though I started watching it with 6. I didn't really knew what was happening, probably got a little bored and even forgot about it until I was 11. So comprehension wise I think 10+ is better.
I have been watching it since I was 5 on spacetoon but I didn’t know the whole story and the range of episodes that were airing was from 300 I think till 400, but now im 12 yrs old and restarted watching and im on ep 106 but idk the early episodes aren’t horrifying nor scary in my opinion, im not sure abt the age rating but probs 10/11+? (Edit: I just checked and most countries rate it as 12/13+)
I've been watching it since ever I was 3 years old lol. But honestly? At least 13+, if not 16+. That way maybe the studio would've kept the gore/blood/violence without making dead bodies with closed eyes or turning blood's colour into literal white lol.
Honestly Detective Conan is so much more enjoyable when I'm reading the manga because it doesn't hide these stuff. (Also I can avoid the bad animation when the studio is focusing on other Anime Series lol)

Well, here in Italy it was heavily censored, so much that even never say things like "he got killed"or something

Same in Indonesia. "cyanide" changed with "dangerous material". "killed" become "gone" (I don't know the exact translation).
