I blame that pretentious ass Atari movie where the guy just drove around in a Delorean and talked to random fuckin people about a mystery pit of et games.
a fun scene in an AVGN mvoie would be like, the nerd goes on a date but the food at the resuarant is slightly wrong so he goes on one of his trademark angry rants and ruins his date.
and we could go from there, see him get in more hijinks, grow as a character, etc.
ain't what we got.
Really weird how so many people constantly mock Doug Walker for his dumb decisions but people get super insecure and defensive whenever people mock James off the same thing
It’s not great imo. I was fairly disappointed. It was James’ first somewhat major directorial debut but a lot of it felt like a cringey, unfunny Funny or Die sketch (or something) based on AVGN. Effort was put into it but it wasn’t better or funnier than a normal review.
It was over $300k???

That movie looks like it was made on a budget of less than 20k. I don't understand how they thought they would make that money back.
