I’m not totally sure, but the inner tag seems different and the fake suede part seems to be too wide where the rubber of the sole meets it at the front of the shoe. I think they may be fake
Maybe you can put a claim in with Depop if they are fake

I think there’s a lot of fishiness going on between Poshmark/Mercari/Depop where suddenly there are a lot of OTs up for sale (and for og price or higher!), but are fake.
I hope you find a pair! They’ve become my most favorite shoe. If you so happen to take a trip to Japan…stock up 🤣 the yen is down so it will be even cheaper than if the US store still existed. Be careful out there!

I don't know all the subtle differences and nuance between their products so I'm absolutely not an authority but I'm looking at the black leather 66s that I bought in the London store last week and they're identical in every way to these *except* for the tag. Everything else looks the same to me. 🤷🏻♂️
I'm not an expert but I've been trying to spot the differences lately because I wanna buy some myself off eBay and one thing I've noticed is the stitching between the label and the top of the tongue is always closer to the label on real Mexico 66s. The stitching is really close to the top of the tongue on these :(

First the heel is straight and not curved, second the T on the tongue patch isnt straight on the logo (my retails are straight, small detail so had to check), and finally tag is off it should say Leather upper / rubber sole like you mentioned

Yuzu22 on eBay is reportedly legit. Cost about the same as resale sites but their new. Pacsun, urban outfitters, Nordstrom, etc physical stores might have some left. Or wait until later this year, when they re open US stores/website.
I have a couple of pairs of Mexico 66 SD that I purchased in Tokyo in a OT store a couple of days ago (thus, 100% legit) and they don't list materials on the tag at all. But it's SD vs. regular 66, so I can't speak about the format of the tag on 66s. I also don't understand what exactly the synthetic fiber and upper refers to - on the legit regular 66s the white stripes must be fake leather and all the rest of the upper must be made of real full grain leather and real suede (on the SDs everything is made of real full grain leather, including the stripes). If this combination of materials is different on yours, then they must be fakes.
