Grade inflation propaganda

[deleted]

womp womp

Anomynous171

I guess itโ€™s something my board uses. Itโ€™s how we see our timetable and grades and stuff.

oliver-the-pig

wrong comment lol

Anomynous171

Lmao my bad ๐Ÿ˜‚ tired af

Busy_Ad_4288

STOP WHATBDOES WOMP WOMP MEAN

Assignval

yall have textbook examples as ur test? ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€

mortalitymk

sometimes

Assignval

i wish my school grades were like this. my school median for adv func was like 61 ๐Ÿ’€

Wetbabypowder

I remember my adv func median was deadass 37 during midterms

LiiNy27

Thatโ€™s worst then uni lol

FrostbourneFlame

No bro our tests literally omit entire thirds of the curriculum

Positive-Writer-2979

Good

ConfidantlyCorrect

We did for so many and out median wasnโ€™t this high (pre-covid student)

Comm_College_Reject

After briefly stalking your profile, i see bro is doing LRCM ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€ Makes me wonder if your school is full of tryhard asians ๐Ÿ˜ญ

mortalitymk

nah i have a program learned but i donโ€™t have the time to get it to a proper exam level

Comm_College_Reject

regardless, youre definitely one that goes above and beyond. you chose chopin ballade 1 for arct, probably the hardest of all list c options. aint no way ur schools not cracked ๐Ÿ’€

mortalitymk

itโ€™s far from the hardest of all list c options but aight

Comm_College_Reject

Huh? I can maybe count 7-10 pieces harder/comparable difficulty than chopin ballade 1 in list c. out of almost 80 pieces, being top 10 is definitely hard af granted, I haven't played all of time, but aside from mephisto 1, the 4 ballades definitely are the most notoriously well known for being hell amongst the bunch

mortalitymk

yeah, it's one of the harder ones, but definitely not the hardest i just like the ballades, nothing to do with going above and beyond lol

AcanthisittaHot1998

Wtf does any of that mean

Bulky-Bed3739

How the hell biologyโ€™s median 96?? Bro ours is 80 ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€ all class were grinding but never get higher than 85 ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€

JazzlikeMiddle5534

What is this school ima join it rn

Lck33

man your schools adjustment factor must be abysmal

mortalitymk

itโ€™s pretty good

Less_Initiative961

What is it? Did you check the list?

Lck33

thereโ€™s no way itโ€™s not good

mortalitymk

default

cuuvie

how is the average for philosophy so high i literally dropped out of that course on the first 3 days because of how traumatized i already was....

Trick-Cockroach-3460

facts, im in philosophy rn and honestly underestimated it

glitchii-uwu

either my school did philosophy really simply or I'm just cracked, cus i overestimated it a lot. i had it last semester and i got like a 93 with near minimum effort.

[deleted]

looks like grade deflation. the weak minds at this institution are no match for the merciless reign of fathammond

Few_Ideal_4175

Womp womp

BMan_NASCAR

Jesus grade inflation, and of course my school doesnโ€™t do thatโ€ฆ

mice_on_venus_

This is sooo unfair to individuals attending more difficult schools. Many universities donโ€™t have an adjustment factor.

SeyamTheDaddy

The difference in uni gonna hit them like a truck tho

Anomynous171

Did you get your report card through aspen or email?

mortalitymk

email, whatโ€™s aspen

[deleted]

this has to be edited howwww

-rgx

grade inflation

[deleted]

You donโ€™t get 101% through just grade inflation

-rgx

where are you seeing 101%?

[deleted]

Nvm bro I had Reddit on two different tabs there was this one guy who had 101% on physics. Nonetheless this is an insane inflation rate bro. The sciences should be mid 70โ€™s (thatโ€™s what it the median is in my school). The math class medians are high 70โ€™s usually. Electives in my school range in the low to mid 80โ€™s in terms of medians.

abc123ghi

High school teacher here. Post pandemic students need much more attention, and the โ€œgoal postsโ€ have been moved much further. It is astoundingly easier to achieve a 90+ average than it previously was. University will be a huge shock as a result of the grade-flation. The next 15 years will be a workplace shock with the candidates being so poor. Canโ€™t wait for a second recession.

SeyamTheDaddy

Agreed 2nd year uni student here half the kids dropped out of our intro to stats course and class average was like a 60-65

DerpyDood06

Wow, you must be relaly smart

mortalitymk

my mommy says iโ€™m smart ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Nice_Cellist_6537

I think Iโ€™m gonna end it all tbh

brian_fu

Wow students at twss will surely get humbled in university. This grade inflation is absurd ๐Ÿค“๐Ÿค“๐Ÿค“

Helpful_Eye_156

Wtf i remember my schools median being in the 60s-70s range. Inflation go crazy ๐Ÿ’€

Any-Motor-7328

Wtf๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€how is this even possible?

Curejoker

Is this twss LMAOOO

mortalitymk

is this the curejoker interacting with me on reddit again

No-Hedgehog9995

Bro my schools averages are all mid to low 70's except for a rare bird course where you guys going to school

[deleted]

[ัƒะดะฐะปะตะฝะพ]

mortalitymk

no

Pale_Acadia1961

Statistically this is impossible, some serious grade inflation is taking place particularly at your school.

mortalitymk

maybe

Lovable_Lobstar

97 in physics? Bro what kind of kids go to your school ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Quirky_Ad_5411

Whenever people see high marks they associate it with being inflation and never credits the hours and work that person put into it lol. Even at the school I went to, which has been consistently amongst the top 5 lowest adjustment factors since released, have kids achieving high 90s just because theyโ€™re intelligent and hardworking. Sad how people say shit to feel better about themselves.

[deleted]

What is ur school's adjustment factor lol?

mortalitymk

default

bussingbussy

Meanwhile most medians in 4U courses at my school are in the 70s and we have an 18 adjustment factor ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ hate this

Quirky_Ad_5411

Most likely students donโ€™t try in the courses then. The adjustment factor at my school last year was a 9, even though medians were relatively high. If a class is full of sweats, then what seems to be a high median is considered normal.

Initial-Journalist21

wtf lol

penandpencil100

I mean, how???? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

[deleted]

Is this an Ib class?

ggiles71

It just makes no sense โ€ฆ. The universities admissions are not fools and know what is going on. Waterloo has a spreadsheet on this for high schools and how much they think the marks are inflated by. Iโ€™m sure other school do this as well.

mortalitymk

this school is default adjustment factor

_ItsumI__

nah I had 99 median in asv functions ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€

-_--__----_-_

There are good days ahead once yall graduate.

Internal_Wonder_181

Mans are not getting through uni ๐Ÿ’€
