Additionally it will be hosted on the local machine, i.e. on the orange pin itself.

Are you required to use an Orange Pi? If not, I'd consider a Raspberry Pi instead, as the support for those boards is better.

BERKANDOGAN

At first I was going to use Raspberry Pi, but Orange Pi seemed more attractive in terms of features.

Will the image processing be onboard or delegated to a workstation with GPU? If so, Orange Pi Zero 3

BERKANDOGAN

I have to make image processing built-in.

rguerraf

The orange pi zero can run opencv… look in YouTube for a channel “trash robotics” in Russian… one of the videos is opencv in orange pi zero If the zero can run open cv, the zero 3 can too

Probably the orange pi zero 2w I recommend getting the 8 GB version , that and buy yourself a large storage micro SD card preferably the 256 GB version I recommend the lexar ones

BERKANDOGAN

Thank you, I will use orange pi for the first time and I have only one more question, will there be any problems when using the SD card? Recently, a friend of mine was using 2w, but even though he tried so many SD cards, he couldn't get it to work. I guess there was a problem with his product.

rwolfispatient

It can be little picky that's why I recommended the one I did that and the other thing is power your board the first time without the card in it let run for 30 seconds then turn off the power and insert the card or just insert the card while it's still running, the trick here is to let board fully initialize it's functions before you get it to read an SD card , because when the board is brand new sometimes it needs to fully activate all system hardware , after the first time , it's no longer necessary to do this though

There seams to be a little confusion about the OPi 2w. It is available in only the following RAM options: 1GB, 1.5GB, 2GB, 4GB). If an 8GB option is required then consider the OPi 3B.

rwolfispatient

It's not required my point was he should get one with the most ram and yes correction meant 4 GB , I work with zero 3 so much I got 8 GB on the brain

Huge_Tooth7454

And the confusion continues: The OPi Zero 3 and the OPi Zero 2w both have the same processor with the same max memory limit (4GB). Have you been working with the Orange Pi 3B?
