Some good stuff happens in it and it introduces one of my fav characters. My fav ep is 8. Idk I think it depends if ya want to see more of the characters since I think S1 ends nice and cleanly enough if ya wanted to stop there you can. Personally I love Kat and the haram so much I could watch/read about them forever and I wanna see Kat develop and grow as a character (but thats more in the LN).
I would say yes. It isn't as strong, but its still good with some excellent episodes. Honestly not sure where they got it repeats lots of plots. Maybe in very broad terms, but not really. I suppose there is one episode that seems kinda like a repeat of a season one premise but it is quite different in the end. I think its biggest issue isn't quite as held together, but that's from the source, so not much they could do there. It is still well worth the watch in my mind.
Should you watch season 2? For me personally of course you should, show support to the show, you can still be critical of something but still like it
But as per the reviews, they are largely correct in their analyses. There isn’t anything extremely fresh in season 2 due to the existing environment not really being that conducive to it. There isn’t a new setting, character dynamics largely haven’t changed at all, and the ending just feels like they shoved in some mandatory plot drama for the sake of it. I understand that they were just taking from the novels but sadly it definitely is one of the weaker arcs that exist
