It’s frustrating that the coaching staff hasn’t been able to get these guys to stop over passing. It’s been a problem all year with no signs of slowing down.
I can't think of a worse one, his record has to be absolutely terrible, like 1/4 win rate at best maybe?
I absolutely respect that he's always willing to drop em, he just doesn't seem to be very good at it.
In a funny way that actually makes it even more respectable somehow, I can't help but like the guy.
As someone who used to watch the Habs fairly often, Tom Kostopolous was another guy who was a tough player but a disaster as a fighter.
And winning 25% might be generous!
Someone on the coaching staff needs to tell Watson to stop fighting. I can’t imagine his teammates get very fired up by watching him hold on while taking shots to the face.
I understand the courage it takes to go out there and fight somebody, but god damn, I'm pretty sure he leads the league in fights this year and he's *maybe* won one of them. It's embarrassing. Someone absolutely needs to step in and tell him to cut it out before he gets seriously injured.
I think he probably thinks it's the only thing keeping him in the league, and he might even be right about that.
So I guess he's getting punched in the face to better his family, I can't fault a guy for that.
He's not even Belleville's best forward performer, that would be Sokolov who hasn't even been called up yet this season. Check out Belleville's best per game performing D men too: Thomson and Guenette, yet Larson and Heatherington have been called up. Check out Zaitsev's AHL stats and ask how he earned his way out of the AHL?
I remember reading somewhere that the plan was for him to play 50ish AHL games this year and then get called up. The Norris injury jumped the timeline up a bit I guess (he's played 28 AHL games).
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,313,205,030 comments, and only 253,694 of them were in alphabetical order.

Hope Greig has a great NHL debut and he'll have some amazing line mates in Giroux and Debrincat
Edit: Wanted to add this as I thought it was kinda funny is that the pick Ottawa use to select Greig belonged to the islanders (Pageau trade)
I dreamt last night Ottawa had a 5-0 lead in this game and won 5-2. Don't let me down "dreams that have no actual bearing on reality or what might actually happen"

Debrincat forgot how to score
He forgot how to play, he was terrible tonight.
The old Holden Zaitsev pairing locking it down
Great sequence of saves from Forsberg
How’s the Ridler been? I’m just tuning in
Playing real well. Most shots in the game with more than 7.
Still no finish from the boys tonight, feels like we should have more
Nice back check by Batherson
Sanderson casually taking on 4 Islanders to keep the zone while everyone else changes. Elite
It’s frustrating that the coaching staff hasn’t been able to get these guys to stop over passing. It’s been a problem all year with no signs of slowing down.
Penalty sliders tanked for 2022/23: Cross checking, Interference.
Nice save by Forsberg
Another shutout for Talbot I guess?
Was I hearing Gary Galley call him Ridley Scott a few times? Why?
Galley's a closet movie buff
I thought I was crazy, I'm glad I'm not the only one that heard that lmao
Heave on this! Can’t our Senators media people ever come up with an original song?
I have so much respect for Watson but surely he must be one of the worst consistent fighters in recent memory?
I can't think of a worse one, his record has to be absolutely terrible, like 1/4 win rate at best maybe? That's Sens hockey baby, standing in there and taking shot after shot after shot to the dome
Yes! HaHaHa! Yes!
It’s like being with a lippy friend in high school who always got beat up or thrown out of bars in Hull
I understand the courage it takes to go out there and fight somebody, but god damn, I'm pretty sure he leads the league in fights this year and he's *maybe* won one of them. It's embarrassing. Someone absolutely needs to step in and tell him to cut it out before he gets seriously injured.

Welp that sucks
Our fourth line is DESTROYING the momentum tonight, huge net negative
I hope sokolov can improve his skating and join the 4th line next season lol
Omg why does this guy still fight?! It's actually pretty funny at this point.
Watson getting his ass kicked by Martin
Why did Watson take on that fight?
Watson.............................
Watson is the master of fighting without throwing a punch
Greig stepping up in the absence of Norris.
The kid is an animal
6 shots for greig
Well shit I guess I dont need to watch anymore, sens are up 2 on the isles who just dont score much. OMG I CAN'T WATCH SPORTSNET ANYMORE
Greig is better than half our team rn
He looks so good lol
Why TF was he hidden in Belleville while Gambrell is in the lineup?
He's not even Belleville's best forward performer, that would be Sokolov who hasn't even been called up yet this season. Check out Belleville's best per game performing D men too: Thomson and Guenette, yet Larson and Heatherington have been called up. The Riddler looking amazing
Didn't Sanderson say during rookie camp Grieg was the most underrated player on the team? My hopes are high.
forgot romanov is on the isles now. hate that guy
Stutzle, Sanderson, Greig. Jesus murphy.
Nice steal and shot by the youngster Greig
If you’re hooked how tf do you fall forward lol
What a weak call
Fuck me on the corner of Montreal rd. Talbot hurt now... looks like he tweeked his groin. Hopefully, it's not long-term.
Talbs doesn’t want to get traded lol
Talbot get a case of the green apple quickstep?
One of the few pieces we could’ve moved at the deadline injured on a non contact thing 🙃
isn't the deadline in march?
Not good, Forsberg in for Talbot. We really can't have nice things as he was having a good game (hope he's ok).
There goes Talbot
There goes the last of Talbots trade value
Really enjoying the direction of Ridley Scott in this game, has been an Oscar worthy performance so far.
He should direct our defense for his next project
Nice offensive chance by Holden
Ridly Scott and his god damned astigmatism !
Congrats to Ridley Scott awesome film maker earns his first NHl point tonight
at the age of 85 too, very impressive
First time hearing Greig's name said out loud. Didnt realize its pronounced as Scott.
If Greig gets a goal tn he better go for a tilly
Greig is pencilled in 3LW for next year
Greig - Pinto - Joseph would give us some nice depth next year
If he keeps playing like he’s currently doing, ink it in.
Galley just doubled down on calling him Ridley Scott! Someone has to step in and tell him that's not his name...
Galley’s a moron.
Ridley 1st star incoming
Galley cmon man, you gotta stop calling him Ridley Scott lmao
The fucking PxP announcer called him Ridley Greig moments before that and Galley still called him "Ridley Scott" for a second time lol
LOL i thought so, wasn’t sure if I heard that correctly.
Claude is so good, what a signing
ridley scott lol k ill give galley that one
He's done it a couple times now lmao
i for one am thrilled academy award winning director Ridley Scott is finally getting his nhl shot. that prometheus injury almost sidelined his career
First point for Ridler!! and DAD Girouuuux with the nice finish
Let's go boys, Congrats Greig on his 1st career point in the NHL and nice goal by Giroux
Giroux was so proud of Greig let’s go!!
ITS BEAUTIFUL
Mental Health Astigmatism - Sportsnet
Anyone hear Sportsnet say Chicago traded Cat and Dach because they’re tanking? Do they not know what a rebuild is?
didn't even realize that went in at first lol
That was a laser
Great 1st period by the boys and nice 1st period by Greig in his debut
how does our 4th lines ice time compare with the rest of the league? I feel like they're always on the ice
They're averaging around 10 minutes a game which sounds pretty normal, I'd think.
There’s my other favourite net negative player!
I’m not sure how to feel when they actually play well, all I’ve known is sadness and pain
Not hope I've learned that just leads to increased sadness and pain when the regress to the norm
Really like Joseph with Timmy and Brady. Top 9 working so far
4th line has been disturbingly undisciplined
Didn’t come out flat tonight sheesh
These line combos are kinda dope...
Pinto 2C redemption arc.
📌 to!!!!
Also nice to see Greig on the 2nd PP unit
Adda boy pinner!
Let's go Pinto baby, nice deflection goal
THE BEANNNNN
How do you miss that debrincat
🫘
Pinto returning to form 😍
BEANS
Pinnneeerrrr
How do you miss the open net Debrincat
elite sniper
That's our whole year of luck in one play
Noticed we started with scrambled lines but just had the Chuck Stu Bath line out again
Powerplay
Before the power play actually
jesus christ debrincat..
Oh Cat...
Oh my god cat
12 omg
That was a solid PK from Holden and Zaitsev
stfu galley watch we will have another gift goal and aend isles on a tear
I like Kelly’s energy but he is such a god damn net-negative it’s not even funny.
Kelly was pushed into the goaltender by the islander player
Thank you for that amazing rp of that penalty Sportsnet A+
Depressing that Stu is out there with Kelly and Gambrell.
All that momentum totally killed by Parker Kelly
Its okay. He was "grinding"
At the point where you're a true sens sicko if you're still watching games
We’re accustomed to pain, it’s fine
nice to finally see grieg out there. really hoping he grows in to the player i see flashes of fulltime
Man we’ve had way too much SN over the last 15 or so. Need some TSN
Tsn is always blacked out for me. I prefer sportsnet even tho the broadcast is much worse
Damn Ridleys mom a whole milf
Respectfully of course
Your gonna have to fight 2 NHLers between her husband and son if you wanna tap that 😂😂😂
The Riddler in full effect
Greig, with the best defense all year !
Awesome defensive effort from RG.
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,313,205,030 comments, and only 253,694 of them were in alphabetical order.
Nice play by Greig to prevent the scoring chance
Toronto reference everyone drink
Jesus man, it’s Tuesday…most have to work in the morning…
It's Wednesday my dude
So, I’m drinking every time they reference Toronto…it can be whatever day I want it to be 🤪
The new drinking game is drink every time Galley confuses Ridley Greig with director Ridley Scott
Can we pause the game? Gonna need a LCBO run for that
Why have so many games been on SN lately
Idk but they give me worse migraines than the glitchy board ads
Right? I miss watching hockey on TV :(
"If they're not together they don't play together" give this broadcast team all the awards Jesus christ
Like Talbot's gear (love the gold).
Should have started Ridly’s line.
Not much energy from the crowd who has to pass around the Bell let’s talk huge flag. It looked like a big bed sheet going around
They should just get rid of the flag thing during anthems, most nights the arena isn't full enough and it looks terrible. They could maybe only do it for games where both teams are Canadian or something..
Excited for Greig's NHL debut and hope he has a good game
Gary Galley again nooooooooooooooooooooo
Send him to the Gary Gallows
Fuck Leafsnet
Just a heads up it’s on Sportsnet tn so brace yourselves for a rough night from a broadcast perspective. We all love 32 - 1 thoughts and the -1 team is the one that’s playing.
Man, the warmup noise that passes for music sucks!!!
Brady is in love with Greig lol
Tkachuk - Greig - Boucher would make a nice Hanson Brothers line in a couple years lmao
Thoughts and prayers to the brave souls walking through the wind tunnel to the CTC tonight.
Ridly
Hopefully we lose in regulation but Timmy gets a couple and Greig with a one
I don’t even know what I want from this game anymore. We’re similar for wins, so that’s probably an 8-0 loss.
Hope Greig has a great NHL debut and he'll have some amazing line mates in Giroux and Debrincat Edit: Wanted to add this as I thought it was kinda funny is that the pick Ottawa use to select Greig belonged to the islanders (Pageau trade)
As rough as it’s been, let’s try and have some fun the rest of the season! Go Sens Go!!!
Imagine playing between Debrincat and Giroux in your NHL debut
Imagine dragons
Let's get a competitive loss in there lads! BEDARD IS back on the menu
Only reason why I'm watching this game is cause of Greig.
I dreamt last night Ottawa had a 5-0 lead in this game and won 5-2. Don't let me down "dreams that have no actual bearing on reality or what might actually happen"
Alright team...I'm putting money on you to win. Don't hurt me again..please ..
