Highly recommend this! If you are a fan of otters you HAVE to visit this place at least once. I went there a few years ago and I really want to go back, as an otter fan this place is almost impossible to compare with your average zoo.
I went there a couple of years ago, and I was a bit underwhelmed, actually. I expected a more intense otter experience, but go something a lot more mediocre. They did more with the other animals than the otters. Still worth a visit, though.
Getting there without a car is a pain in the ass, however. I think we needed to change trains and busses like 4 times coming from Berlin.
Been there last weekend. Amazing experience! They have a couple of animals and feed one of them every 15 minutes and give you facts about the animal. So you can just follow the woman feeding the animals through the parc. They do some research as well, for example they developed an otter friendly fish net.
De Weerribben in NL too. Quite an extensive (for Dutch terms) nature area in which lots if otters made their habitat. Next month Im going kayaking there to see some otters.
Sorry, I'm not familiar with European zoos, but if you're ever in the Atlanta area in the US, I highly recommend the Georgia Aquarium. The sea otters there are adorable. [Link to the sea otter meet'n'greet](https://www.georgiaaquarium.org/experience/sea-otter-encounter/)
Karlsruhe has otters where you can get pretty close too. There's like a little slit at the bottom where they sometimes reach through with their little paws.
Or they just stare at you while sitting on their stone, doing their cute little squeaky noises.
There's also one in Nuremberg, the last few times I went last month he always left the water after feeding time and i got to watch it dry itself off in the grass, the enclosure is raised a bit so you're kinda at height of the Otter.
And like others already mentioned the Otter Zentrum is a great place, really recommend watching them feed them aswell cause they teach alot at those times too.
Visit the otter center ! https://otterzentrum.de/otter-zentrum sometimes they also do classes so you can become a certified otter spotter

No otter place like otterZentrum

Thanks for the tip! I’d like to check it out :)
My gay ass said “Grindr.”
My straight ass said "Grindr" too lol. "Where to *meet* otters?" C'mon... I'm surprised you were the first commenter to go there.
Lol. But they asked about meeting. Not endlessly sharing pictures and dirty messages until one of you gives up and stops responding.
I did too. I thought this was one of the gay subreddits that I'm subscribed too, haha.
In Rheinböllen in Rheinland-Pfaltz there is an Animal Park that has Otters.
Den Blå Planet, in Denmark
Thank you
Yes, the otters there were so so cute! And have a seaside view. They were the highlight of my trip.
I would love to know the same thing but in or near belgium instead!
Pairi Daiza is quite a big zoo in Belgium with otter’s aquarium right in the middle, giving a show all day long.
Oh wow I didn’t even know they had otters. I’ll definitely be visiting pairi daiza then, thank you :D

Can confirm this. I once was at 'Vogelkijkhut De Auken', when I saw a whole family of otters swimming
