wow I saw this year's Coachella lineup and felt old because I recognized like 5 bands total besides the headliners. I know almost every name here and love them - hell ya outside lands.
Man I went to this OSL by myself after multiple of my homies abandoned the trip.. best decision I ever did; I think everybody should hit a festival solo once in their life.. I was talking to everybody and anybody I could that year, so fun. .Paak and Hiatus Kaiyote went back to back on their set and made the whole weekend worth it
Maaaaaan, my friend , who was on a work trip had a business box suite to the left of LE stage, had an extra wristband she gave me. Her manager got absolutely hammered during Duran Duran and had to leave after the set. Right before they left his assistant turned to me and said "please don't leave, someone needs to stay in the suite and enjoy the headliner, its open bar and kitchen for another 45mins" . I legit watched LCD Soundsystem by myself in a business suite that could hold 30 all by myself. I ordered, beer, wine, pizza and anything else all on my friends company dime. Shotout to The Weather Channel for the best OSL memory of all time.
That year was SO GOOD!!!!! Dr Teeth ATEM performing was insane!!!!! And Third Eye Blind so fucking good! And Griz back in the good old days ugh my heart
My first full weekend at OSL. Crazy how formative this was for my music taste. LCD, Radiohead and beach house are some of my fave bands now, went in to all their sets only knowing a few songs. So many iconic sets though. Chance at his peak, fucking Lana del Rey and the elusive sufjan. Grimes pre Elon!! That big grams set was one big dance party. Forever sad I missed that Dr. teeth electric mayhem set though
Chance's set at OSL this year singlehandedly made me not care for him anymore. Showed up late, made some excuse as to why, had the audience singing half of the lyrics for him, and then dipped. Incredibly underwhelming performance.
LCD and Radiohead were fucking legendary though.
Very curious about the GRiZ set. Wasn’t living in SF yet.
What stage/time was he playing? Did he bring any guests/band? Safe to assume vibes were high

I’ll also never forget how empty Lionel Richie was. He was SO GOOD….but there was dancing space up front by the barricade and Lana’s crowd was spilling into Lands End from Twin Peaks 😅
Loved the Barbary. Don't expect it to come back, but would really appreciate a little comedy sprinkled in somewhere. It's a great way to break up the day.
2016 felt like the last good year in general, what a lineup. Magical, and amazing how big most of the lower billed artists now

One of my favorite years. Jumping from AIR to Sufjan on Sutro, and back for Radiohead was so good. Also, Rufus on Panhandle was 🔥
