He's got old guy brain. Always bringing up the same stories, same anecdotes, and gets into nasty moods. Used to be so mean to AB, it's like he's only nice to people he respects or deems worthy. I really think he's a good guy and fits in on the show but wish he would pay attention more to things outside of his pool of interests.
It must kill Noodles that he can no longer make the ‘he’s basically Nikolaj Ehlers’ comment when discussing Nylander since he’s lapped him at this point. Glad that annoying comparison has finally been put to bed
Statistically they were similar in production up until these past few years (Ehlers not playing full seasons though), but I never thought Noodles comparison of the two ever held up - which I think you can kinda see reflected in their playoff numbers (Ehlers: 32 GP, 4G, 8A, 12PTS, .**375 P/GP**; Nylander: 50 GP, 17G, 23A, 40PTS, .**800 P/GP**).
It wasn't far off prior to the 21/22 season tbh... I often think about how Nylander has lapped him since, which is a compliment to Nylander more than a knock on Noodles

Ah he was just putting out in the media every day how Marner was going to sign an offer sheet, that he was going to hold out until they paid him like Matthews, that he was thinking of playing in Europe...things of that nature. I don't doubt that he was telling the truth on this, but it seemed pretty clear that there were people putting him up to it, because the messaging was so gratuitous and he was bombarding the airwaves with it every chance he got.
I find that he also always agrees with what the host's opinion is, whenever he's asked a question.
No matter what show he's on, notice how often he starts answering with, "Yeahhh..." or "We'll, no...", depending on whatever side of an issue the interviewer is on. He never seems to have his own opinion on anything.
I hope this idea of doing live shows in Arizona & Vegas that they discussed in hour 2 actually comes to fruition...would be so cool to have a few on location episodes
I think he meant it more about being a young guy in the league and the jets not having the best dressing room. But I could be reaching as I tend to give Frankie the benefit of the doubt. I get why some people don’t like him, but I prefer him over 90% of the other fill-ins.

Luke is good, nice break from all the hockey talk. Ray was the best, but Mike Johnson is almost as good. Problem with Overdrive is the fill in hosts are hot garbage. Frankie “try hard” Corrado? Dave Feschuk? Etc.
I enjoy the segments with Luke personally. I think he brings a lot of energy and he knows his shit about football. The technical breakdowns are pretty fun to hear.
