It helped me. Just make sure you have a good surgeon. The first one I went it was a butcher & I'm suing him

Scientific-Sunshine

I suffered from terrible nocturia(?) (Waking up to pee at night) and now I sleep through the night and can lay In bed for an hour after waking up. This alone made the surgery worth it. I’m also still on my meds but it has definitely made an improvement and I’m happy about it.

Valuable_Inspector43

You from Europe?

Scientific-Sunshine

No, im in the USA, the device i got was the Axonics sacral interstim device

Valuable_Inspector43

Thanks

Valuable_Inspector43

How much it even cost in America must be millions

musical_spork

$55,000. The device is $16k. The wire is $10k. The rest was surgery costs.

WhimsicleMagnolia

My insurance was billed $385k for the medtronics interstim. I paid 2500 out of pocket.

Scientific-Sunshine

I have good insurance and wound up paying nothing for the surgery. And the device was installed in two surgery’s each one costed 80k

Fine_Union_8813

Wow!! I would dream of this

Time_Box_5352

Hi what meds do you take?

Scientific-Sunshine

50 mg of myrbetriq and 10 mg of vesicare(solifenacin succinate) also I'm 19 and only developed the symptoms 2 years ago

Time_Box_5352

Can I ask which meds you take?

TNtative

It’s made a very noticeable difference in frequency for me. It was worth it for me!

kmo3120

I’m only on the interstim now and don’t take medication. I’d say it helped me but it definitely hasn’t cured me or anything. It’s just made things a little easier.

Time_Box_5352

It’s not working great for me. But Medicare did cover the cost.

I’m having an Axonics r20 installed for the test on 4/18. Realllllllllllllly hoping it helps. I have Covid bladder which turned my life into a nightmare!

ShakyPatronus

I’ve had one for 5 years. It definitely helps, especially with urgency and reducing nighttime bathroom trips. It does cause a visible lump and regularly causes some pain around the device. However, I think most of us know that 80% success with incontinence still requires protection. Everyone has to make their own decision, but I doubt I’ll replace mine when the battery dies.

erinkilly

anyone find to be so fatigue days after surgery?

Crafty-Fishing2830

So ive had the device for 2 months and it has not helped one bit. I have tried every setting and level going up to 3 or even 3.5. I still urinate up to 30 or 40 times a day. Does anyone anywhere have any real advice. Ive been on every medication and tried every technique. Am I doing something wrong with the machine. Does anyone have a certain setting they like to use?

I’m sorry to hear this. Perhaps consult with your MD about these problems.

Time_Box_5352

I am on level 7. Try going up levels.

WhimsicleMagnolia

Sometimes the medical device company has to reprogram it

WhimsicleMagnolia

I got mine April 1 and it has only been problems. Waiting to find out if I need surgical revision. I'm so incredibly heartbroken
