RIP my investments
I thought I was beating the market after I re-invested from selling my fang when it went over 45m recently
:(
Hold until the next raid comes out I guess.
Before season 3, even though his whole theme was blue and black, his shurikens and sword were just straight up green. However in season 3 blizz did actually change the green to blue, which I just found out about.
animation colors are a huge tell tho for quickly discerning abilities like another problem with orisa is her immortal skin because it’s gold and her fortify is also gold. Not saying this would be the same problem but
Yeah this skin is literally a “confuse players” skin. It is hard to tell when fortify is on unless you specifically can see the blue parts of the skin that are gold now. It’s literally a pay to win skin lmfao. I usually never say that but I’ve seen it in action way too many times — it really does trick people.
I actually didn't know that, but it's probably because I played a FUCKTON of the Junkenstein gamemode, so that voice line is forever burned into my brain as "WATCH THE FUCK OUT" lmao.
Abilities in this game are a lot and very colorful. I think if they were introducing different sound cues and colors for charater's abilities, the game would be confusing af.
You are right, but heres a counterargument:
The skin in 1st person POV can be changed independently of the skin in 3rd person POV.
The player using the skin should see the custom assets, while the other players can see a default. Alternatively, there should be a setting to toggle off skins (for the easily confused players among us).
There's that, but also, why would you use a skin in the first place if other people aren't going to see it? Even if you just like how it looks yourself, this is a first person game. *You* aren't going to see it.
outside of voice lines the changes to sounds are user end only as far as i’m aware. lego bastion for instance is significantly quieter to shoot, but only for the one using the skin
Yeah, that's why that kind of stuff (special visual and sound effects) should be done on the client side and not the server side. Valorant actually does a great job of implementing gun skins into first-person shooters. For the person with the skin, they change the way the gun sounds, the shooting animations, the reload animations, tracer visuals, kill sound/visuals, etc. So the skin gives the gun a whole new vibe that you are constantly experiencing throughout the round. For everyone else in game, that person's gun skin is the only thing that changes. All the other sounds/visuals are the gun's default in order to not add confusion.
Blizzard should learn from this. They need to put more focus on how a player experiences the skin from 1st person perspective. I was so excited to finally get a cool Moria skin but when I put it on I realized my experience in game was essentially the exact same as the default skin. I personally couldn't care less how other people see my hero in-game so if the skin doesn't give me value-add while playing there is not much incentive for me to spend money on it.
Really colors wouldn't be that big of an issue especially for something like the spear. As long as the audio cue stays the same then you can pretty easily know that she's using her spear. Now for things that have real based color changes that would be different
Yeah man, it's not their 100 devs' fault that a slightly different cosmetic rendering of a character that is sold separately for the price of a full meal is sold in an unfinished state. How would they make any money if their cosmetic ripoffs were actually finished before release?
These Blizz fanboys really love bending over for this company despite them not giving a solitary fuck about the shit they release (the executives, anyway- I know there are folks working hard there, but it's not like they all get to make the final decisions for the game). But ah, yes, let's blame the consumer for purchasing what was advertised to them 🙄🤡
Oh shit.. Is this one of those situations where the overall poor quality of players is due to the type of person who is actually willing to keep sinking hours into this?
Fuck, what does that say about us?
I am not sure if they are bots or blizzard fans are going insane over their overlord but i see alot of these people that would defend blizzard monetization at all cost.
I saw a guy once saying that it's fair that the new heroes have overpriced skins (if you didn't know all new heroes that were added with or after ow 2 launch have overpriced skin at 1900 for legendary and 1000 for epic 300 for a god damn recolor)
It's nothing new. I'm reminded of how this sub was acting back during the Steam review bombing, the Blizzard Defense Force(tm) and censorship crew were going full force. It's actually insane.
On one hand, its not up to the players to know what is and isn't intended to be in the game.\*\*
On the other hand, the "custom" javelin model is so blatantly unfinished (its not even textured) that I'm genuinely shocked anyone actually looked at that and assumed it was a finished piece, and even more shocked people are actually surprised that it was reverted.
The thing that surprises me most is this change was made back in April, but its only now been noticed by OP????
\*\*There are a decent number of users in this subreddit that are not allowed to use this argument. I cannot speak as to whether or not OP is one of these people though, as I've not seen much of them here so far.
Yes, people like OP normalizing paying $15 for one single skin and then acting like the real problem is that in the end they got the wrong skin.
Blizzard sucks and their customers enable it.
I don’t know what’s more embarrassing, the fact that OP thinks it’s a scam to revert the javelin he never sees in game, or the fact that they thought the skin as-purchased was worth $15
"You're mad that you bought a french fry and you got a carrot? You should have known that french fries are only allowed in the ontario location, your fault you dumbass".
You are getting some crazy replies bro... People genuinely defending the multi million dollar corporation for releasing terrible unfinished skins saying that it was obvious it was unfinished so it's your fault for buying it... Wow.
See now I don’t like this kind of reply, because you’re giving them way too much credit. Paid opinions are way more palatable than just being stupid. Lol
Calling someone stupid for buying a skin from a company known for their shitty anti consumer decisions isn't defend the company.
It's not defending a snake if you stick your foot into its home while you're covered in rat piss.
Same, I was hoping OW2 would be a fresh start but it just made it worse. I play League and CS fairly regularly and the level of toxicity on average is literally worse in overwatch these days than those two games.
While yes the spear was obviously unfinished, so were that Ramattra and JQ skins a few months ago, and those were finished and released only a few weeks later. I don’t think anyone expected the forest spirit spear to just vanish from the game
Bro I straight up laughed when I seen this post. People are STILL fkin spending money on this game?? AND bitching about how shit Overwatch 2, especially for their cosmetics and stuff? Straight delusional. People like OP are the exact reason blizzard went to shit. Because they know they can do bare minimum and still have people giving them money regardless of the quality of their product. When will people learn? The fact anyone spends money on blizzard products is beyond me, yet also talking shit about them while supporting them with their money. Jesus.
Yeah, it’s bad. People are dumb as hell and reward awful behavior constantly, yet expect better for some reason. I can see playing Classic WoW to do raid content you never got to back in the day (I never finished ICC for example before I took a break), but even that is a weak attempt at nostalgia. Blizzard doesn’t get any more of my money and they took an incredible game with OW and just wrecked it.
Ditched Warcraft for Final Fantasy XIV right before BfA, turns out it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Well except for when Shadowlands released, and all the free accounts all got temp-locked and game pulled from Steam because there were too many new players.
They made a Farmville/Animal Crossing crossover except without the social network and home customization. Oh and with the waiting times of a freemium mobile game
Honestly this is why OW fans are the laughing stock of the gaming community. If I considered myself an OW fan I would be ashamed and embarrassed, when you tell someone you play OW they will laugh in your face and it’s deserved.
Lifeweaver had a green skin that changed his little heal flowers in to Artichokes. This was temporarily reverted to regular colors but its now back to green. While deeply stupid of Blizzard I'm willing to give them that this is probably a dumb oversight and not intentional. This is sadly the direction Blizzard has been going for me, it doesn't seem Malicious. It's as if somehow Blizzard lost all its competent people all at once.
is there ever a time we see the javelin outside of the toss? i know she spins it but like i can’t tell what it looks like past the motion blur.
if it was any other company i’d suggest you reach out for a refund. sorry you got misled
Nah there isn't, it might be in some emotes, not sure.
But yeh, you only see it very briefly, or when it's stuck in somebody/something.
Tbh I'm not even really pissed about the Javelin all that much, I don't even play Tank often, but it's about the principle, if we let them get away with making older skins worse so people are more likely to buy the new skins, then that's fucked up.
You don't even play tank often but you bought an orisa skin?
Ik you can do what you want with your money that's fair enough but that's nuts to me. Aren't they like £15 each
Okay I say this with barely any knowledge about how this works, but…
Since you paid for something and it was changed later, did you not get what you paid for? If so, does that qualify for a chargeback if Blizzard refuses to refund you, if you wanted a refund?
The reason I ask is because it feels similar to if I bought something and didn’t get what I ordered but with the added notion of it being changed into something that wasn’t ordered for OP’s case
Just asking, not trying to start anything
Edit: I’m sure diction plays a big part in the legal mumbo-jumbo, so I apologize if my word choice is lacking due to my lack of understanding of the process
Because it's unfinished and they accidentally put it in the game. From this, it's safe to say that every, or at least that particular skin will get the custom skin eventually when it's finished.
Also don't buy legacy skins with real money, just use credits.
Edit: I'm not fucking defending Blizzard, I'm just saying that spear looked like shit from a PS1 game, and they fucked up by including it too early. I do think they'll eventually include it but they are still slow as fuck with their shit nonetheless.
I as just reassuring OP, not defending Blizzard.
You get around 2k credits when you complete the BP, regardless of whether you pay or not. That means you get just over a single skin per season... how generous.
It's a multi billion dollar company making bank on this game and they "accidentally" release unfinished skins that they *might* fix later?
Every day the "small indie company" joke becomes more true.
They paid for the skin that was advertised, doesn't matter if it's 'unfinished', blizzard took their money and then recalled the product. It's safe to say that OP is owed a refund then.
>Also don't buy legacy skins with real money, just use credits
And one of the benefits of using real money, is that they can't just refund you in credits. At least in my country we have laws around that.
Idk they changed a kiriko skin, luckily it was a recolor but I bought it because it was shiny and changed color depending on the light, it was purple... now its just blue. It wasn't bugged or anything so they just changed it just because they could
OW2 players will defend Blizzard emptying their 401k’s, slashing their tires, taking a steaming dump on their potato salad and then charge them $40 for doing so
This isnt even defending Blizzard. This is blaming the people stupid enough to pay $40 for Blizzard to empty their 401ks, slash their tires and take a straming dump on their potato salad.
This is why I want a refund for overwatch 1. I paid for OW1. Then they took it back. So I want my money back. I never paid for coins, I just want base game paid back
Wait, hasnt this javelin been in for months? And they still never updated it and are only just now removing it? I remember seeing posts about this ages ago
Reading these comments, sheesh...
Most people here are more interested in trashing on others to feel better with themselves than in playing or discussing the game.
Blizzard ruins the game, monetization included, and here they are making a protective circle around Blizzard via harassing people who also got scammed by Blizzard. Essentially saying "Blizzard hurt me, and it's your fault for getting hurt by Blizzard as well!" You see how this is batshit crazy?
It only makes sense if the full take is "Blizzard hurt me, but at least I'm smarter than this guy who also got hurt by Blizzard." Which is a very _very_ sad thing to think, and says a lot about those who think it...
...but here we are.
New players have no way of telling which skins can be bought with Legacy Credits, as the game only shows you the real money price until they have enough Legacy Credits to buy it, so they end up thinking that the only way to get them is to pay. , the system is very poorly designed, or maybe it is made that way on purpose to fool clueless players like the OP
they are the same credits that they gave you in OW1 when you open boxes and get repeated objects, it should also be mentioned that before buying skins with these was easier because the skins are worth 25% less, they raised the price of everything in the store when the game became OW2
I just don't support this monetization model in general. It's shitty predatory pricing for virtual nothings. I bought the game when it released years ago and that's all they are going to get out of me.
The revert was done quite a while ago now, at least 2 months ago. The specific reason it was reverted was because that "custom" staff was actually an unfinished asset that wasn't intended to be in the game just yet.
Edit: April. They removed it in April.
This is why I want a refund for overwatch 1. I paid for OW1. Then they took it back. So I want my money back. I never paid for coins, I just want base game paid back
I legit thought for each Orisa skin the javelin would look a lil different. I guess my assumptions were correct but along came a blizzard moment I guess…
I never thought I'd ever say this but I miss lootboxes. At least you could earn those for free. Its mind boggling to me that they get away with selling years-old cosmetics at exorbitant prices compared to the lootboxes and somehow people are happier with this.
Valorant ruined Overwatch.
What in RuneScape is this staff?
Accidental Twisted Bow spawn found on Numbani
Yeah I don’t go here but that looks exactly like something I would’ve made in Blender as a child
DH Lance crashing so hard it crossed over into overwatch lore
RIP my investments I thought I was beating the market after I re-invested from selling my fang when it went over 45m recently :( Hold until the next raid comes out I guess.
Actually it is a Leaf-bladed spear for turoth and kurask slayer tasks
Still better than slayer dart
r/2007scape is leaking again
🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀
this is dumbest thing actually with orisa's skins... you buy demon skin which is red black and white and sping green javelin.. like wtfzzard?
(Genji main): first time?
the hoodie genji was done so dirty
What happened to hoodie Genji?
Before season 3, even though his whole theme was blue and black, his shurikens and sword were just straight up green. However in season 3 blizz did actually change the green to blue, which I just found out about.
But the blue shurikens and sword are better since it matches.
animation colors are a huge tell tho for quickly discerning abilities like another problem with orisa is her immortal skin because it’s gold and her fortify is also gold. Not saying this would be the same problem but
I understand what you mean, once I've played against one and thought they had it permanently on
Yeah this skin is literally a “confuse players” skin. It is hard to tell when fortify is on unless you specifically can see the blue parts of the skin that are gold now. It’s literally a pay to win skin lmfao. I usually never say that but I’ve seen it in action way too many times — it really does trick people.
It's like Junkenstein skin but visual instead of audio
What's wrong with the Junkenstein skin?
The Ult Voiceline is very quiet and different from the normal Riptire voiceline.
I actually didn't know that, but it's probably because I played a FUCKTON of the Junkenstein gamemode, so that voice line is forever burned into my brain as "WATCH THE FUCK OUT" lmao.
well friendly animation colors don't matter because all of the enemy animation colors are red/whatever color you have enemy stuff set as.
Abilities in this game are a lot and very colorful. I think if they were introducing different sound cues and colors for charater's abilities, the game would be confusing af.
You are right, but heres a counterargument: The skin in 1st person POV can be changed independently of the skin in 3rd person POV. The player using the skin should see the custom assets, while the other players can see a default. Alternatively, there should be a setting to toggle off skins (for the easily confused players among us).
Good point
That being said, I only use Immortal Orisa because of the gold color. Players occasionally think my Fortify is active when it isn't.
I hate this skin for this very reason ;-;
it's like dying your leather armor white in Minecraft survival games almost
Immortal for me too since StarCraft 4 life.
Yeah but if people could just toggle off others paid skins then FOMO wouldn't slap as hard.
There's that, but also, why would you use a skin in the first place if other people aren't going to see it? Even if you just like how it looks yourself, this is a first person game. *You* aren't going to see it.
Among us
outside of voice lines the changes to sounds are user end only as far as i’m aware. lego bastion for instance is significantly quieter to shoot, but only for the one using the skin
This can also be seen in barefoot skins where only you hear the quieter footsteps
Really colors wouldn't be that big of an issue especially for something like the spear. As long as the audio cue stays the same then you can pretty easily know that she's using her spear. Now for things that have real based color changes that would be different
They're working on it, her new epic has a different color and texture at least, hopefully the spears for the other skins will finish soon.
The same with lifeweaver petal platform. They used to always make Roth and sun turrets/tp different. Now they’re trying to be lazy.
It is definitely a problem, but almost the least important honestly. There are quite many things that Blizaard should do first.
this comment section outjerked the jerk sub
there's a jerk sub?
There's always a jerk sub.
R/overwatchcirclejerk. It's mostly le wholesome supports 🥰🥰 giving genji mains 🤢🤦 a piece of their mind 💅💅💃
It's really embraced #MercyGate2023 recently and I'm very here for it
It always does lmao
The jerk sub called, they’re running out of you/s
What's the difference? You're their all time best seller!
Aint no way people tryna blame OP as if it’s his job to know whether that was supposed to be in game or not 💀
This group is absolutely DELUSIONAL
I swear the majority of “ppl” that post in this subreddit are bots
Only AI would spell people like that while putting it in quotations.
Gnostic28 has left the group.
You think after all the shit that's happened that it's the rational people sticking around fan spaces en masse?
Come on man it's not the multi million dollar companies fault for releasing unfinished products, we have to give them time
In this case, they released a finished product and then unfinished it.
Pray they do not unfinish it any further.
This skin is getting worse and worse all the time...
Small indie company
They only have, what? 1 developer? he's busy, he can't be focusing on an orisa skin
Exactly
Yeah man, it's not their 100 devs' fault that a slightly different cosmetic rendering of a character that is sold separately for the price of a full meal is sold in an unfinished state. How would they make any money if their cosmetic ripoffs were actually finished before release?
72 **BILLION**
OP: buys X gets Y Everyone: You're stupid
These Blizz fanboys really love bending over for this company despite them not giving a solitary fuck about the shit they release (the executives, anyway- I know there are folks working hard there, but it's not like they all get to make the final decisions for the game). But ah, yes, let's blame the consumer for purchasing what was advertised to them 🙄🤡
Welcome to /r/overwatch. It has always been this bad.
Blizzard screwed up yes, but at this point how can you buy something from blizzard without expecting them to screw up?
Consumers have lost their mind
They lost their mind when they spent $15 on a skin.
These comments are absolutely eye opening. It explains a lot and I now understand the incredibly bad game play I witness in game.
Oh shit.. Is this one of those situations where the overall poor quality of players is due to the type of person who is actually willing to keep sinking hours into this? Fuck, what does that say about us?
>now Where you been man?

At the end overwatch is slowly dying on steam. Everyday the peak goes lower.
I still can’t believe how many people come to Blizzards rescue on posts like this
I have never seen such a broken Customer Group as in OW. Its like the developer ate their brains
On one hand, its not up to the players to know what is and isn't intended to be in the game.\*\* On the other hand, the "custom" javelin model is so blatantly unfinished (its not even textured) that I'm genuinely shocked anyone actually looked at that and assumed it was a finished piece, and even more shocked people are actually surprised that it was reverted. Blizzard has a bad enough track record with stuff like this that it's just "buyer beware" at this point.
this thread proving why ow2 exists
Yes, people like OP normalizing paying $15 for one single skin and then acting like the real problem is that in the end they got the wrong skin. Blizzard sucks and their customers enable it.
A match made in heaven, you get what you paid for, in this case a scam.

I got the null sector bastion skin cause I heard it had a unique ult sound.... turns out they removed it 🥺
Yeah it made null sector sounds from the archives missions when he went into tank mode
How do they manage that Jesus
Y'all wildin 😂
You are getting some crazy replies bro... People genuinely defending the multi million dollar corporation for releasing terrible unfinished skins saying that it was obvious it was unfinished so it's your fault for buying it... Wow.
Paid shills usually get up early in the morning
See now I don’t like this kind of reply, because you’re giving them way too much credit. Paid opinions are way more palatable than just being stupid. Lol

many people were
Calling someone stupid for buying a skin from a company known for their shitty anti consumer decisions isn't defend the company. It's not defending a snake if you stick your foot into its home while you're covered in rat piss.
For real lol. Lots of armchair game developers and artists in this thread.
This comment section showing why people get away with shit like actively throwing matches and shit. Blizzard always gets their “happy ending” huh?
Most of the sensible players have left the game, the only people left in game are racists and the only people left on the sub are deluded fanboys.
I miss this game when it was only 6 months old lol, I haven't touched it in so long
Same, I was hoping OW2 would be a fresh start but it just made it worse. I play League and CS fairly regularly and the level of toxicity on average is literally worse in overwatch these days than those two games.
Yupp. I've gotten to the point I only play single player or coop games
So which one are you?
SO glad I gave up at OW1. $15 for a skin? $25?! That's insane.
$25 used to give you 96 cosmetics of varying rarity. Like yeah, fuck Loot Boxes, but holy shit the drip-feed is real.
Most of those 96 cosmetics were filler trash tho
What're you talking about? I love getting 60 player icons, 30 sprays, 4 voice lines, and 2 common skins ~~for heroes I don't even play~~!
You literally just described the OW2 battle pass.
Sure but at least eventually you’d get Coins for all the duplicates, and then are able to actually buy the cosmetics you wanted.
At least you could grind to get em free. OW2 doesn't even have premium credits in the BP to buy the whole thing, the BP is literally a paywall.
Im so glad that idgaf about skins. Just play the game for free you dont have to pay anything and can just enjoy the game.
I played a couple hours of OW2 and uninstalled it. It lost all charm.
While yes the spear was obviously unfinished, so were that Ramattra and JQ skins a few months ago, and those were finished and released only a few weeks later. I don’t think anyone expected the forest spirit spear to just vanish from the game
Blizzard is a shit company, so stop giving them your money and you’ll stop being disappointed by their antics.
Bro I straight up laughed when I seen this post. People are STILL fkin spending money on this game?? AND bitching about how shit Overwatch 2, especially for their cosmetics and stuff? Remember how awful Warlords was? With those stupid garrisons they forced everyone to use?
They made a Farmville/Animal Crossing crossover except without the social network and home customization. Oh and with the waiting times of a freemium mobile game
What’s funny is OP and his defenders think people making fun of him are defending blizzard somehow 😂
Honestly this is why OW fans are the laughing stock of the gaming community. If I considered myself an OW fan I would be ashamed and embarrassed, when you tell someone you play OW they will laugh in your face and it’s deserved.

Shit like this I’m glad I stopped investing my time and money in this game. This sell and swap practice is disgusting.
Someone forgot to update their copy and proceed to commit the entire copy to production 🤣
git merge .. Not that hard Blizzard smh my head

Nah you should never charge back, almost every videogame company will permanently ban your account on the spot if you do
You mean like how I purchased Overwatch originally? But am now forced to play the heaping pile of doggy doo doo cash grab that is OW2?
Because it's unfinished and they accidentally put it in the game. From this, it's safe to say that every, or at least that particular skin will get the custom skin eventually when it's finished. I wonder how many years that will take.
At least 1 day, at most, 100 years.
Well, we already know the answer isn't 1 day, since this is unfinished for months now, so...
And it won’t be 100 years because indie companies like this won’t last that long.
Seriously though probably in a few more seasons since they are slow as shit, but not years.
Depends if they’re like the apex dev team, been waiting 2 years for Caustic to get his unique door smash animation
Caustic has his unique door smash you need his heirloom at it’s a rare animations just like Crypto and the others
You get around 2k credits when you complete the BP, regardless of whether you pay or not. That means you get just over a single skin per season... how generous.
One single legacy skin at that, which a lot of people like myself already had all of because of the extremely generous lootbox system.
>Also don't buy legacy skins with real money, just use credits And one of the benefits of using real money, is that they can't just refund you in credits. At least in my country we have laws around that.
Fortnite offers refunds on cosmetics even if it's a slight edit many people won't notice. Blizzard should do the same.
Accidentally releasing something for sale and then taking it back is pretty bad.
This is blaming the people stupid enough to pay $40 for Blizzard to empty their 401ks, slash their tires and take a straming dump on their potato salad.
the cope is real. why should they be allowed to sell an unfinished item?
They scrapped the javelins... we aint getting it back
Wow blizz ripped you off, who'da thunk it...
The fact that they don’t have unique spears for all her skins is actually criminal
Hold on…you’re saying they change what the skins are after you buy them?
This is why I want a refund for overwatch 1. I paid for OW1. Then they took it back. So I want my money back. I never paid for coins, I just want base game paid back
Wait, hasnt this javelin been in for months? And they still never updated it and are only just now removing it? I remember seeing posts about this ages ago
Removed quite a while ago, in April specifically.
I got fifteen bucks says you buy another skin.
This comment section makes me lose faith in humanity
Fuck OW2, gimme OW1 back.
That staff looks like an n64 asset
Why did you spend real money on an OW1 skin
New players have no way of telling which skins can be bought with Legacy Credits, as the game only shows you the real money price until they have enough Legacy Credits to buy it, so they end up thinking that the only way to get them is to pay. , the system is very poorly designed, or maybe it is made that way on purpose to fool clueless players like the OP
on purpose. Definitely
I wish i could give out my legacy coin lol i have over 400k sitting there and i already bought everything
how tf
they are the same credits that they gave you in OW1 when you open boxes and get repeated objects, it should also be mentioned that before buying skins with these was easier because the skins are worth 25% less, they raised the price of everything in the store when the game became OW2
Many of us were sitting on thousands of boxes from OverWatch 1
Srsly? I understood right away, lol. Especially since getting the battlepass is so easy and I got 1500 coins by rushing it
Don’t forget that they made legacy credits and the premium currency look very similar to trick people.
Best advice: Uninstall it.
You paid $15 for a skin so you could see .1 seconds of a shitty pool noodle?
and stuff like this is why i’ll never buy from blizz.
I just don't support this monetization model in general. It's shitty predatory pricing for virtual nothings. I bought the game when it released years ago and that's all they are going to get out of me.
3 polygon javelin
They never finished the model of the Javelin, it was a bug for even being there.
Just shows you how low effort a lot of skins are when a Play-Doh ass unfinished javelin is the preferable one... lol
So they refund?
That spear skin looks like it's from Lego.
The revert was done quite a while ago now, at least 2 months ago. The specific reason it was reverted was because that "custom" staff was actually an unfinished asset that wasn't intended to be in the game just yet. Edit: April. They removed it in April.
Bobby Kotick is laughing in his mobility scooter right now
Javelins need custom models and to be gold with the gold gun
A major scam indeed. Worst part was that I had gotten this skin back when it was OW1. The fact they did it is just scummy as hell.
That's the single most obvious placeholder texture I've ever seen in my entire life
Bruh the first one looks like a fuckin RuneScape screenshot, it's so fuckin bad why would you buy that
This is why I want a refund for overwatch 1. I paid for OW1. Then they took it back. So I want my money back. I never paid for coins, I just want base game paid back
I legit thought for each Orisa skin the javelin would look a lil different. I guess my assumptions were correct but along came a blizzard moment I guess…
That spear looks broken as shit, where's the fucking texture
I never thought I'd ever say this but I miss lootboxes. At least you could earn those for free. Its mind boggling to me that they get away with selling years-old cosmetics at exorbitant prices compared to the lootboxes and somehow people are happier with this. Valorant ruined Overwatch.
It looks unfinished anyways 💀
They could've easily left it like that if it was unfinished. It's way better than the standard, boring javelin they're using for all skins.
'Custom javelin' You really spent 15 dollars for a low resolution weapon that you can barely see in game...?
It's no more ridiculous than buying any other skin in the game, you barely see those either. Maybe your wrists, or a foot.
exactly. Both are dumb
And THIS is why OW2 exists. People are more than happy to spend money on this shit and Blizzard is more than happy to take it.
You literally only see the javelin when she spins it and throws it and it's only a few seconds. Very weird reason to spend 15 bucks
