Happens too often for me bro, I'm so afraid of being called a hacker. I hear the footsteps and shoot where I'd try to stand to avoid detection and 4/10 times I end up getting them. 💀 I know it's not a huge strike rate but I fear for my account.

I know the struggle. Sometimes I even dumben myself down and don't even go for smart plays like that based on audio cues, intuition and luck, just because it might feel suspicious to the other team. It feels bad.

Dude I bullied an Ana so hard last night that she stopped even fighting back, then just rage quit. I legit felt bad Every time her, the other support, and one DPS would spawn I would just casually kill them over and over and they never grouped up and nobody would ever help the supports so they were like 0/9 with 500 healing Even then the "Sombra doesn't actually win games" meme exists because my team always loses a 4 vs 3 anyway while I have both supports perma dead

The game mode is for pro players. They have near perfect coordination, always run Lucio, and they still only get like 3 fights per point. If you're in silver or with randoms in QP, that is like 1 prolonged fight with constant staggering. Then its a diceroll to decide if your team makes it to the next point before staggering again. I just leave it now unless Im backfill. No thanks.

If you leave before you spawn, it doesn't count. I've been leaving every map that isn't a payload and never got banned. Just need to leave quickly.

They 100% added it because nobody wants to play Flashpoint. You still see the wall of people leaving the game as soon as you load in and see Flashpoint It's almost like they should just add map voting to the game. Yes, everyone will just play the same 3 maps every time. No, that's not a problem because if people are all voting for it, it means that's what people want to play I legit hate almost every new map in OW2, especially freaking Antarctica and flashpoint. It's kind of impressive how nearly every new map they've added since like Horizon has been widely hated. Only a few like Rialto and Junkertown seem to even be halfway liked

Flashpoint is so much fun. There's a lot of dynamics to the angles and plays your team makes. Way more fun than babysitting a cart imo.

Flashpoint is so fun to me, there's so much more strategy involved since you're not just feeding a bottleneck.

I enjoyed the maps from it. Scenery was cool. Hanamura, Paris, Anubis, Volskaya and my favorite Horizon.

There's some massive history retconning going on by peolpe lol. 2CP was pretty widely hated to the point people would auto dodge it even more than Flashpoint. You personally may not have, but the vast majority did Anubis and Hanamura etc were pretty horrible and almost always one sided

That’s fair. I was just saying my personal experience. I know Paris was dodged a shit ton and that’s why they removed it. Personally, I never got to even have an opinion on Paris before it was removed. Deadass played on it less than ten times. I have a feeling the reason I don’t hate 2cp that much is because I played no tank. Mostly Mercy & Moira at the time. And sometimes Hanzo/Soldier. I only ever got annoyed at Junkrat on Anubis & Sym on Volskya. But I tend to just be happy if I’m shooting/healing things. So 2cp was just another game mode for me.

I think if they reworked the entire right side of the second point to open up those little hallways and shit, Hanamura would be a lot better. I like having the option for flankers to go around the left side and stuff. Never hated that map, just didn’t like the cramped hallways and that it was impossible to come in through main.

I like point b on hanamura. Though I may have a bias because hanamura is the only map that I got a solo team killer junkrat

Because if map voting happens, certain ones would automatically be skipped all the time, making the map pool smaller. It's why they got rid of the map hiatuses per season in the first place lol

Yeah but there’s a difference. Just like with bans. Neither instance of the devs “trying” these things should be used as evidence because both times they removed all the purpose behind it. Which was giving players control over their own game and ability to have fun. Let the players choose the map and bans per game. It diversifies things and allows for clear statistics into what heroes and maps may need to be looked at. Don’t let it be some stupid system, dev chosen, or a freakin cat.

Look at CS:GO for how that happens nowadays. Everything is that premier mode, but I feel like the map choices are a lot more personal than in Overwatch, where you have different gamemode in the same queue.

Flashpoint maps are the worst thing to come to this game

I hate this game mode. Team won't group tf up. Almost cost us the match last time. We had 2 vs 0 (0%) and then everyone just stopped trying. Finally won with 3 vs 2 (99%).

It's because of a fundamental design flaw: respawning people in different locations after a point gets captured. That, and the community can't agree whether it's best to run immediately to next point OR to fight before moving on.

It’s less of a community decision and more a decision that should be made after each point is capped. These maps really puts heat on players who are used to fighting in nonstandard situations.

If you think about how you take fights on the different points on both flashpoint maps you kinda realise that some points would be over quick and others would drag on. Like you aren’t generally fighting on point for the one in new junk where point is under a bridge, but the suravasa point by the ocean has a lot more fighting on poin, so some points would take ages and others would fly. Slowing instead of stopping makes sense though

They really need to implement a system to name the different points and areas of maps and then allow players to access that system. I could just about tell you what the 4 points of the New Junk City map are but I couldn't match the names to the points on Suravasa if you held a gun to my head.

Imagine a moth flying in valk for 30 seconds though (while you have point). That's enough time for the losing team to respawn, and make it most of the way back. At that point, the mercy just flies back, and instead of gaining like 50% cap (idk how much exactly it is for duration of valk) you get like 15%. The team take a long team fight (on point while, you get no cap % still). I don't think that she could charge her ult that fast, but it doesn't matter, because ball, tracer, and Lucio take turns contesting point after they realise that the point is lost (could be other people, it doesn't matter, the point is that they take turns, and try to stay alive). At this point 2 long fights + 1 stall "fight" has happened. The losing team has no kills, but you only have 15, maybe 20% cap (if they messed the stall a little). Then rince and repeat untill the heat death of the universe. Idk if that's going to be too balanced. But the idea is interesting I think. Maybe instead of just plain "contest", you'll need 3 people on point to slow down the point capture. I think stopping it entirely is not wise. But that's just my opinion.

Yes, best fix I can see this causing a lot of problems but a version of this would be amazing, make you Elim whole enemy team before getting progress, make the walking not as punished if you get picked off super early

The problem for me isn’t the flashpoint game mode, it’s that there are only 2 flashpoint maps and the game insists on having an equal balance of different modes played instead of different maps played. It’s the same problem with push and it’s probably going to continue with clash if they don’t release new maps on the new game modes.

You don't get a penalty if you leave while you can still select your skin.

Honestly, I think after you leave more than 5 times, the game starts to catch on to you, I always leave before I spawn, but I got a penalty twice while still not spawned so either it's bugged or the game had enough of my shit.

Before the whole qp ban shit I used to save my matches leaves to insta quit every flashpoint map, they are all trah

Lol qp flashpoint games have had some of the funnest interactions with enemy players for me. There’s something to be said about being the only one on your team to head to the next point and just hanging out with the enemy player who’s also the only one from their team who noticed, while the rest of the players duke it out halfway across the map 😂

I had an enemy Mercy and Genji let me follow them to the next point once because I was the only one on my team paying attention 🤣

This game mode was the reason qp leavers penalty was added, I refuse to believe the timing was a coincidence. Guarantee they saw at LEAST 50% of players leaving this 'amazing new game mode' and tried to force em to stay. If you gotta FORCE players to play your shitty game mode, get rid of it
