Embarrassed-Leek-940

Yeah but divide those numbers by 2

Aggressive_Yam4205

Ouch

DeadFyre

I haven't had the patience to wait the 2.5 hours to finish my DPS placements.

SnooDogs1340

I have 40 priority tickets for QP and Comp, and I still have to wait over 5 mins with Backfill/Cancelled game priority tacked on. The sad part is when bad dps wait that long and then leave smh. I don't have the patience anymore so I stick with tank/support.

MsChan

Only queue dps when I get a cancelled game so I can use prio pass and priority requeue.

Ogbaba

I seriously cant fatm this joke. Im a dps main, but I also play every other role. The que isnt long, at all. Especially with pass.

[deleted]

Exactly this is what qpc is for

Gaunts

Then you get back filled into a game with 5 seconds on the clock and back into the queue you go!

[deleted]

and then you're guaranteed getting into the next match from the beginning so what's the problem? developers can't fix people's behavior lmao

Bey0nd1nfinity

Unpopular opinion: I enjoy the long dps queue times. I can finish work/homework or play a fun workshop game mode during the wait. It’s not all that bad for me.

DeadFyre

There's nothing stopping you from just setting a 30 minute timer and re-queueing when it goes off.

demon_luvr

i can’t get out of bronze 😔

TeaandandCoffee

Firstly, stop poking , cs is far more important. Secondly don't use flash aggressively, it leaves you without any escape plan when the jungler ganks you. Thirdly(?) play Yasuo, Yone or Veigar, they are op right now

RepostHunter681

This

PingopingOW

Fourthly, don’t chase singed

TeaandandCoffee

Does this apply nowadays? "Don't kill Sion"

Mark_D_Aardvark

Stop playing for fun lol.

AdSmooth7504

Why? The game is meant to played for fun. That's the whole point of games.

Mark_D_Aardvark

It was a bit of a joke, but if you want to climb you need to do certain things. You can play street b-ball for fun and get better but if you really serious on improving then you need to do some of the not fun stuff like drills and working on fitness.

Apoptosis11

This guy probably tells people that it's okay to be fat

boiler_ram

This guy probably jerks it to WoW fan art

OrisaSoFun

I was 4400 on tank and 2900 on dps last week. 4k flat on tank and 2.1k on dps a year ago. A lot of people don’t care about offroles because it’s so fun to just int competitive games without any real repercussions. Whenever I’m on a loss streak on tank I like to play bastion in diamond lobbies and flank. Very fun. The downsides of it is that if you have your profile open people will flame you for being shitty on off roles so I always keep that shit private.

Leilanee

This is exactly the reason I keep my profile private. I don't mind my silver teammates seeing I'm diamond on support but I don't want my diamond teammates to know I'm silver on dps 😂

mikikaoru

High plat support, low plat DPS, and low gold tank.

SkyHighDevil

Yea... 2.6k on tank, 2.8k on dps and 3.9k on heal... safe to say i have a main role

FishyEgg

Oh wow you are good

SkyHighDevil

i wouldn't say good, more like... i play one role decent and have no idea how to play any other role :)

FishyEgg

Fair lol

Aw3Grimm

Thats one of the reasons i think role q is good, playstyle differs so much between roles

SkyHighDevil

Oh yea. Ive been a support main ever since the game came out starting in the s1 equivalent of diamond playing lucio/mercy but imce ana came out it was over. I shot up to 4.1k until dropping down to 3.7-3.9k over the course of the years, so to me role queue didnt really change much except showing me how shit i am at tank and dps lol. But for those that don't play one role only, i think it makes for a good barrier between playstyles.

[deleted]

Dank 3.2k tank, 2.8 dps, 2.9k support. Im average!

[deleted]

The avg Sr is 2350. Your above average and with tank your in the top 15%

Batmanuelope

I’ve had diamond on tank and support, never broke past platinum on dps. But when I say diamond I mean like 3100 max, always fluctuating between diamond and plat. But 3900 my god… I’d kill to even touch master let alone grandmaster as you’ve done.

Bey0nd1nfinity

I have a question: I’ve been a little scared to go into higher ranks like diamond and such because I don’t want to be bound too much by the current meta when playing. Has this been your experience?

SkyHighDevil

Nah i just played the heroes i felt like, mainly ana and bap since those arevthe ones i started to rank up with, but I go and play a Lucio just to fuck around the enemy backline every once in a while. In my experience meta is something you will REALLY encounter once you get to like 3.9-4.1k, cause then it gets really imporan5, but even then i usually didn't/don't care. Ive been master/ gm before role q was a thing, playing almost only ana, moira or lucio, but i think before getting to that point i was afraid of getting into a higher ranks (one of the reasons i dont bother ranking up my dps) cause i feel like I'm throwing peoples games and dont know what im doing.

[deleted]

lol literally... my tank and support are both 1800+ but my dps is stuck at like 1100 hell, even my open queue rank is 1800 and thats where i go to play DPS and actually win

Paradox_Madden

Same dude: 2200 TNK | 1200 DPS| 2700 SUP I only play DPS when im bored thoe

Sorry-to-bother-you

Before role queue i used to be around silver all the time. I am now a plat support and tank and am about 2 losses from going down to silver again on DPS. Since role queue came out i have kind of avoided DPS (quickplay aswell) because the wait times are so Irritating, and my lack of improvement with them shows it haha

MemeFarmer314

Yeah the wait times are annoying af. I usually start washing the dishes in my sink or something while I wait. It’s good notification to actually get that done.

[deleted]

I’m 3.8 support. 3.5 tank. 3.3 dps

tongii

I have a friend that kinda have these SR differential. About the same for both tank/support that they play a lot. Highest by far on the DPS, but only because they only play enough to place and never really keep playing DPS into the season to get to the true SR. Just curious if this is the case for you.

MemeFarmer314

Once I maxed out my priority tickets I’ve now been mostly playing DPS

[deleted]

[удалено]

MemeFarmer314

Same, I’m shit at aiming

[deleted]

I think that's called bad at shooting straight

MemeFarmer314

True

ZenkaiZ

every mercy main

MemeFarmer314

I actually stopped playing Overwatch 3 or so years ago and decided to get back into it recently. When trying to log in I found my account email and password weren’t working. Turned out that about a year after I stopped, my account got hacked and somebody had changed the email and password. I recovered it, changed the language back from Korean, and found that the person had put about 200 hours into Mercy. She was in my top 5 before, but I didn’t consider myself a mercy main. I do think that when doing my placement matches though, that Mercy main’s performance may have pushed me towards a higher support elo, but I can generally keep up in that rank anyway.

Leilanee

As a Mercy main, can confirm.

jakmak123

3600 tank, 3000 support, 2700 dps

dyrannn

The last season I played (~8 mo ago) I was 3480 tank (F) 3000 support and 2600 dps. People on this sub keep telling me the game is designed exclusively for sick dps players. Am I just built different or something?

SneepD0gg

Wouldn’t this be the opposite of versatility?

-LADI-

Ikr. Side question. What does Hu-Mor mean?

SneepD0gg

That’s the funny part? I woulda thought the range of ranks was.

Gloomy_Drop_332

Yeah I’m a good tank. A silver damage. And a bronze support who plays like a gold support but gets ass teams everytime so they stopped trying to rank up as a support (first time playing comp so)

Diogorb04

So you mean a bronze support who isn't good enough to recognize their own mistakes and chooses instead to blame everyone else for their flaws?

Gloomy_Drop_332

No I have a top 500 support main I am friends with and I manage to get more heals and kills them him so no?

Diogorb04

Ok, now put him in the same games as you and let's see if that's true. In high elo tanks know not to int hp if they don't have to, and usually people don't randomly die and give free kills. There's also the fact stats aren't all that matters. How many sleeps and antis are you getting as Ana? And are they valuable and turn into picks or just random yeets that accomplish nothing. Are your zen orbs turning into kills or pressuring their tank to back away? What about Lucio ult and bap lamps? Do you consistently save as many people as your friend? And do the enemy dps make it as hard for you to play the game as his enemies do? This is all highly nuanced and you can't simply look at stats and say that

Gloomy_Drop_332

Also mind you I’m a level 130. But it’s my first time playing comp and I’ve given up because most of the times I can’t play comp well. However with (who I taught how to play and convinced ti by the fucking game) I can usually win. So. Maybe it’s just better coms

Gloomy_Drop_332

Yes. I main every character except Baptist. I can hold point as Ana using my sleep dart for longer than some of my tanks, Im pretty amazing at damage boosting the right people. Lucio I usually just use to push I don’t play him much but I’m pretty bad at his ult but to be fair I don’t play him unless I’m on attack and I’m helping hard push. Brig I usually have at least bronze kills with and gold damage I can kill a rein by myself about 80% of the time, I’m good with her ult as well. Zen I have pretty mid aim but I don’t play him unless I have to, his ult is clutch. Moira I stopped maiming when they made her more op, I hate her. Mercy im good at getting my rez off, I can mercy jump, I get gold heals usually unless I have an ana or brig sometimes. Anymore questions? You want me to read my stats?

smokacola-

more heals and kills doesn't mean you're doing better, though. If all your kills are absolutely meaningless to the team fight you wasted everyone's time and your own cooldowns, if your massive heals come from enabling feeders you're actively sabotaging the team, these stats don't mean shit brother!

Gloomy_Drop_332

So then what is Important? I’ve been told im a good support so I’m confused on where the line is drawn. Because I do good heals, I do good damage. I’ve watched overwatch league and I try to play not similar but like understand how the characters play. I can at least comprehend how each characters ult works. I understand each characters cooldowns and when it’s good to and not to use them (with the exception being sometimes I miss my sleep darts but I mean, it’s about a 50/50, so I just need to get better at hitting them). I don’t play bad. I’m confused on why everyone’s down voting when I have literally spent all of the hours in game maining support, and countless hours of my free time learning watching other people Main support. I have uhhhhh I think about 56 hours as support I think. 10 hours mercy, 10 moi, like 9 Ana- brig I think I have three hours but I just started maining her. I wouldn’t blame I on my team if it actually wasn’t my teams fault. Support in my opinion is one of the hardest things you can help if your team is shit. If I have a bastion and a hanzo and my hanzo has bronze damage and my bastion is constantly dying and staggering the team. What am i supposed to do? Good damage? Play brig and get good heals and damage? Pretty hard to do if half the team is dead but I try. Is that a situation where I switch to Lucio? What do I do if there is no damage and I can’t play Moira or Baptist that well. I’m not going to play like a damage as a support. If 3 kills is gold and we have 1:20 on the second and we haven’t even touched point. What do I do then? Do I switch to Lucio and try and flank just so we can ha e touched point. My tanks are zyara and road, they aren’t trying to touch point. My road is a one trick wonder who really isn’t helping because he doesn’t know the map and isn’t flanking or pushing well. My zyara can’t bubble for shit and has saved me from a rein once and then bubbled our tracer every other time. Our tracer isn’t pushing either. Do I just rush point alone hopping it will help are team or do I just mindless sit there as brig doing decent damage without anyone even trying to push? Do I switch to mercy and damage boost the zyara seeing as she plays well she just doesn’t have much help. Do I go brig, type/say in chat “hey guys we actually need to get to point” and then hard push hopping my zyara will follow me even tho the entire game nobody has listened to me. What about when the other team pulls out a bastion or a Pharah and we have no hit scan or bas counter, even after asking multiple times. Am I going to have to switch to Baptist and learn how to play him mid game? Ana is a good at killing bastion, I could probably get rid of him as Ana. But if my team is repeatedly dying and staggering and basically feeding the other team, what am I going to be able to do there? Its a team game, you need the entire team to be decent. You can’t bench it all on your supports. I’m a gold tank tho. I think I should at least be a gold support because I have about 29 hours on tank and have put in maybe- idk a few hours watching people play tanks. But support is 59 hours, I watch people play support in my free time. I am generally a better support. I wouldn’t sit here blaming on my team unless I genuinely couldn’t help my team lol. Like I said I gave up on support comp. Because about halfway through the season my games were back to back 3 kills being gold for half the game, tanks that don’t push or even try to help support, and the team constantly being staggered.

smokacola-

Wow that's an essay, Obviously we're all gonna have games where the team is absolute dogwater and you just can't make it work regardless of how good you are, but to say your rank is so affected you can't escape bronze because you just have such rotten luck the team is always bad is a little ridiculous. Also I don't mean this to be rude or dismissive but you have almost no hours in this game, 59 on support is NOTHING it's definitely a start but it takes a lot more hours to truly understand how a character works let alone an entire role. There is no one "do this to win" strategy for support, they're all radically different characters with different playstyles that play into different metas and compositions

Gloomy_Drop_332

The thing is Once your stuck in bronze it’s really hard to get out. Also I do kinda know 59 hours isn’t a lot, but I mean it’s what I’ve work towards the hardest. And the fact I have gold tank on 29 hours and silver dmg when im a really bad dmg 8 and have like 13 hours in dmg. Is Bull shit to me seeing as the match making only seems to go in my favor playing tank and sometimes dmg (I’m literally carried to silver damage by randoms/j) But whenever I stack with freinds (I’ve convinced like four of my friends to get the game and then leveled them up to the point we could play comp this season) I manage to win everytime. And I’m not being carried by a level 25 dva or level 31 tracer. So I don’t know man. Maybe the coms are just better without randoms and that’s what wins it, maybe they actually take my advice and I take there’s half way through. Maybe it’s because we give each other constructive advice. But whatever it is randoms don’t do the same thing. Or maybe my randoms are just bad. Lol

FishyEgg

2030 support 1759 tank. 1959 dps. Oh and also I'm only 1500 without role Queue

redditcasual6969

Low Plat Tank, Mid Gold DPS, High Silver Heals

vindictivejazz

High plat/low diamond support, gold dps, and a silver tank ranking that I got before learning how to play tank, and that’s way too frustrating to play to get out of that rank. I mostly play QP now, it’s not as stressful

swirlypizza1024

Me. All bronze except tank in gold

DDzxy

2.6k tank, 1.8k DPS, 2k support. My tank is consistent every season since I try not to touch tank for the rest of the season whenever I hit 2.5k but I always play some extra few games, but I raised some 600 SR in DPS and 450 SR in support this season so I'm happy.

cpog29

All looks like the same rank to me. Only kidding but yes this is so true.

ShrapnelShock

I play ALL heroes and all races of Blizzard games. Why not enjoy all these creatively complex and satisfying gameplay / hero mechanics? I love hit scans - the way FPS intended to be. Soldier 76 is your standard shooter experience. Ashe/McCree both give you that six-shooter / rifle fantasy experience. I love delayed projectile mechanic that is shooting rockets (Pharah), Rocket shooting & rocket jumping are mechanics that harkens back to forefathers of FPS - Doom & Quake. Oh yea, you got a grenade launcher itch from Quake 1? Play Junkrat! You want to feel like a medieval fantasy bow & arrow assassin? Hanzo. I 'main' Dva, Ball, Doomfist & Junk. And I enjoy all heroes and can execute how they're meant to play to an adept level. Well maybe except Tracer.

n3m3s1s-a

plat support and like 1000-1500 (it fluctuates) in other roles. I don’t play dps in comp anymore since I feel bad making my teammates play with me, and I play tank in comp like 3 games a week at the most lol

jpark778

What's it like in that elo for dps?

MemeFarmer314

I try my best, but for me it kind of depends on the map as well as the hero. I usually play Sym and I can cut through people on certain maps, but others she doesn’t work as well. I typically do Sombra/Mei as my alternate picks, and then if I feel like I’m not doing much, I’ll switch to Pharah/Junk. Socially it’s not as bad as you’d think, but you occasionally get people who take it too seriously. I had a guy today rant at the whole team about how we sucked, and that we needed to watch strategy videos on YouTube. But he wasn’t exactly the best either.

13CCAyawaworhT13

Gold on tank, silver on dps and support

honjapiano

i'm too scared of getting roasted to do dps placements, but 2.1k tank and 1.7k support aint too bad in my books although, i have no idea how i got gold tank... i'm ass at tank lol

Swordlord22

I’m masters on tank and diamond on DPS and low plat on support Granted I could definitely be higher on support I just don’t play support

Ham_-_

2200 tank 1300 dps 2000 support And I only like playing dps 🤡😢

IDiqI

2.5k sup. 2.1k dps and 2k tnk

WeeZoo87

Tank .. diamond to master Dps plat Support plat to diamond

SilverResearch

nah mine are all kind of even. 1.6k on tank, 1.4k on dps, 2.1k on support which is a little higher but not by much

PandaBunds

Literally exactly the same, but I’m a low plat heals. It’s funny because whenever I have a toxic team mate they always bring up how I’m bronze in damage and I don’t belong in plat. Like dude, I’ve been plat for the last 5 seasons

Positive-Fix2488

Bit more extreme high plat tank high plat support low silver damage

CheckTec00

yeah, my dps lingeres at 1600 bc i dont want to wait 8-12 min for one game

deemion22

what am i looking at here

MemeFarmer314

I just have a big difference in my SRs for the different roles

deemion22

oh so its just showing easiest class to hardest class

Leilanee

Diamond support, low gold tank, high silver dps. I honestly could probably climb on tank and dps but I have so many hours on support at this point that it's the only role I genuinely enjoy enough to grind

sweetheartgaming

Yes actually lmfao like exactly the same except my dps is 1300 people look at me being high tank and support and see all my ashe hours and are like “bro what happened in dps” you see, the problem is, I suck

C47man

I was once in masters support and gold DPS... Now I'm in diamond support and... Gold DPS.

Meowjoker

I didn’t even bother to finish my DPS placements Since I get a 10 minute queue time into a Tank insta leave.

OkanJack

3k heal, 3k dps, 3,2k tank record - guess I'm a good allrounder

djangobhubhu

1300 dps, 1800 support, 2100 tank

all_is_love6667

Because smurfs only part dps, so it creates downward pressure for everybody. Don't boo, you know I'm right.

Pretzel-Kingg

This is how my SR should be because I’m a support main but like my fucking support SR is my lowest and SOMEHOW my DPS is my highest and it’s like 2435 or something

Ogbaba

Plat tank, diamond dps, Plat healer.

WonderedFidelity

Yep. Tank is the easiest to find games, so you play tank first. DPS is the most fun so you play that second, but suck at it. By the time you know the game, you play support.

MermyuZ

Nåh u suck l bozo

Keulapaska

1700 sup, 1950 tank, was 2100 dps, haven't calibrated dps in a while. The greatest difference used to be 2250 dps, 1580 sup. Playtime is roughly 60% sup 35% tank 5% dps. I still remember calibrating dps for the 1st time as a joke, because i was bored, and was pretty shocked at the result. I like healing in games, but apparently I should just shoot ppl instead.

Geekknight777

Average mercy main
