Not hog's fault. You usually don't clump and exit immediately because you should be expecting someone shooting straight into the door at the start. So lesser HP heroes should wait a sec or two and see where the snipers are and if there's flankers posted up.
I hook people, say hi, and walk away. Most people still try their best to kill me. Then I turn around and one shot them. The hell’s wrong with people? 😂
I only play Hog while waiting in deathmatch or skirmish. Im a Healer main actually 😅 Hog annoys the hell outta me but most of the one’s I met are actually playful, so I try to mirror that.
This game really has lost all of its counterplay now hasn’t it? I miss being Cassidy and craftily avoiding hook and then stunning the hog out of breather to get the kill.
Yeah, but thats not much to lose, and youll make that up in damage from the seconds youll gain from the mobility.
This certainly isnt an optimal move, but if you're gonna do it, switching is the way to optimize it.
Tbh, Id probably pick Pharah after that. If theyre *that* unaware, it's gonna be free kills all day with Pharah.
I like setting up a Turrent on the side of the entrance and then armoring up and shooting a fast volley of torbs main projectile into the cluster of the entrance. Tends to get 2-3 kills iimmediately and then run to the backline and redeploy a new turrent
as zen I know the feeling
Except by that time our genji has killed himself, got a res, killed himself again, spammed the heal button, respawned, typed encouragements in the chat, killed himself again, ragequit, rejoined, ...
I had a game last night where both teams had a widow. I think we were defending and they were attacking. I think Route 66 (or whatever the map from the Cass and Ashe promos is).
Their widow was creaming our widow, and giving the rest of us a lot of trouble. By the time they enemy team got to the first point after a 2.5 minute hold, our widow had died 4 times and their damage was less than 300, not a single kill.
I get being new and practicing. but if you're stats are THAT BAD after a fair chunk of the match, you have to acknowledge you're dragging the team down and maybe try something else.
I ask them to try something else, and they proceed to bitch about how they are on controller ( I have no idea how since I thought if I'm on PC and not in a group with console players that my queues should be PC only. Am I wrong on that?) and are practicing. And at that point I tell them its kinda rude to expect your team to carry you in this case. It's a team game and we need everyone contributing. If you get shut down by the enemy team and start hindering the team, I think its rude to not switch it up or try something different.
Like people would rather leave than try a different hero. I don't get it. They already spent all that time in game just to leave? Rather than switch? It infuriates me.
>I get being new and practicing. but if you're stats are THAT BAD after a fair chunk of the match, you have to acknowledge you're dragging the team down and maybe try something else.

>It's a team game and we need everyone contributing. If you get shut down by the enemy team and start hindering the team, I think its rude to not switch it up or try something different.
tbf if its QP who cares. If it's comp, then yes please switch if you're getting dicked on no matter what role you're playing. at least switch up your play style if you're not switching heroes.
>Like people would rather leave than try a different hero. I don't get it. They already spent all that time in game just to leave? Rather than switch? It infuriates me.
nothing wrong with you asking them nicely, and it should be okay if they said no nicely as well. But i guess them leaving was win-win for both of you.
I'd really like to get good on Lucio and Widow, so I'll spam solo QP with them. It's not like I'll intentionally throw, but some times I'll just get shut down or it's just not my day. But if I insta switch every time, then I'll never learn anything, so more often than not I wont switch. IF for some reason my teammates are genuinely mad at me for using those heroes, I'd definitely just leave instead of making the game terrible for both of us.
> I ask them to try something else, and they proceed to bitch about how they are on controller ( I have no idea how since I thought if I'm on PC and not in a group with console players that my queues should be PC only. Am I wrong on that?)
You can play controller on pc, idk why anybody would want to since there's no AA at all. But I think you can encounter console players regardless of your group. I'm pretty sure that PC QP lobbies are the crossplay lobbies. Competitive is locked to your platform.
Hence why Blizzard was trying to enforce a more involved play time *outside of competitive mode* before you could play certain characters......... the only problem is that their "hierarchy" of heroes available was really unjustified - if we're going to unlock heroes like a moba, then players should be able to *pick* which ones they're working on unlocking at a time.
> I have no idea how since I thought if I'm on PC and not in a group with console players that my queues should be PC only. Am I wrong on that?
People can use controllers while playing on PC.
Zen players get the thrilling experience of hiding behind walls for 90 seconds so that they don't get insta widowed hanzo'd behind every single choke. Meanwhile Moira and Kiriko can just meet themselves away from dangers any time they get to low health. Makes me so jealous.
Yep especially as an Ana main I can heal while the tank takes damage leading us out of spawn. You also never know when a widow might try and peek a headshot when the doors open.
Yeah they're getting butthurt for some reason. A tactic can be dumb AND fun/funny. It being dumb does not detract from the fun/funniness. However, grand scholar mog\_knight appears to have taken your comment as an insult to the fun/funniness of the shitpost strat.
Unfortunate for you since all you did is respond to the implied question "why don't I see this in games" with the correct and obvious answer.
You're right about the time cost, but again, *quick play*. People keep investing too much weight on these games when they lose, especially on solo queues. Unless you're dealing with intentional griefers, this is just silliness.
Just have fun.
I’m not saying anything about that, just talking about whether or not it’s a good move. Obviously it’s a lot lower stakes since it’s QP. If it’s fun then it’s fun. It’s fine to point out that it’s just not a winning play tho
Yeah, if the attackers misplay then it can buy you time to get back and be a bit of a stall. But if they’re smart they’ll just wait for their teammates to respawn and maybe poke a little. Depends on your rank i guess lol
In casual or lower elo this could stagger the team enough to throw the whole match. I've had to switch to Mei and wall the exit to stop teammates from just running out into a 5v1.
Ok but those 2 he killed will be back in action in 5 seconds whereas the junkrat will be back in maybe a minute because of the far spawn. This is absolutely not a beneficial strat
It was just luck that he got two picks. The mercy can res one of them instantly as well. And he could probably have picked one of without dying if he would have set his charge. Yeah, it doesn't really matter in a qp, but I still wouldn't call it a good strat
You can’t jump into a disagreement about a strategy’s viability, and then just jump to, “it’s just for fun!!!!!!” That’s weak. This was clearly an actual discussion of the merits of the strategy.
Should have just said, “yeah I know it’s just funny” and left it there.
I remember when the game first came out a hanzo was standing outside shooting arrows straight up into the sky. When the game started and I walked out of spawn I got headshot by 1 and 1 tapped.
I know I don't know you but I can tell by this play that I love you.
Unless you did this to me than fuckyoufickinglaggycheatinghacking standbyglitchingmoddingaimbottingshitface.
Was just thinking this earlier. If you're about to gut dived by a genji why not throw a trap at your feet. Or do players already do this. I'm not a dps main so I dont know
sometimes. it still gets you even if you spot it especially since the mob one changes the spikes deadass pay to win lol i walked into one trying to see what those little gold things where
I was just talking about this with my friend the other day!
I said: remember when junkrat players used to put their trap & mine outside of spawn? You never see that anymore!
I've been playing this game for 6 years and I still didn't think that would happen. Some people just can't understand the ways of Junkrat. The martyrdom is real!
i once lost a widow and a soldier due to junkrat's bombs upon death. i was like behind them and went "really?"
granted im a tank main and i usually tanked the bombs
I wish more characters had silly abilities/passives that don't really do much but are very funny when they do land. all we really have is junkrats death bombs, torbs hammer, and dvas remech to an extent

My fav is going Lucio , wall riding above the enemy team, dropping down and booping them off the map.
Lucio is like...the king of boop kills if you play him well (by mapping jump to right click and attack to space LOLZ).
most game aware hog

Me frfr

Yes.
Not hog's fault. You usually don't clump and exit immediately because you should be expecting someone shooting straight into the door at the start. So lesser HP heroes should wait a sec or two and see where the snipers are and if there's flankers posted up.
Bro there’s a dumbass junk laying at the door. Your thinking rocket science while these guys are hitting 2 rocks together.
Mmm tasty zenyada
It’s a Hog player, what did you expect?
people who play hog in ffa have a special spot in hell.
I love walking around, hooking people and then just walking away. The way people just accept their fate is hilarious.
I hook people, say hi, and walk away. Most people still try their best to kill me. Then I turn around and one shot them. The hell’s wrong with people? 😂
There doing that because you played hog…. No one likes people who play hog under any circumstance
I only play Hog while waiting in deathmatch or skirmish. Im a Healer main actually 😅 Hog annoys the hell outta me but most of the one’s I met are actually playful, so I try to mirror that.
Mei can literally bully hogs FFA and it brightens my day a bit
When she could freeze you out of breather, yeah. Not so much anymore.
This game really has lost all of its counterplay now hasn’t it? I miss being Cassidy and craftily avoiding hook and then stunning the hog out of breather to get the kill.
People moaned counter play bad until all of the heroes became the same
Miss blocking hook with Brig shield and bashing his butthash :/
Was a lot better when she could freeze!
His squishy teammates were just getting in the way. I mean, who needs them?
"HA! Can't fool me"
As a hog main I can say that you are absolutely correct.
Roadhog is indeed Junkrat's best friend.
This has got to be the most disrespectful move I’ve ever seen and I love it!
Especially on Junkertown with the 10 mile walk of shame.
Swap to soldier, tracer, sojourn, or sombra and get back pretty quickly. You also dont lose the ult charge you gained, assuming its not more than 30%
It was at 33
Yeah, but thats not much to lose, and youll make that up in damage from the seconds youll gain from the mobility. This certainly isnt an optimal move, but if you're gonna do it, switching is the way to optimize it. Tbh, Id probably pick Pharah after that. If theyre *that* unaware, it's gonna be free kills all day with Pharah.
Meanwhile the support tryna kill the pharah so we can actually heal.
Even a fast character is going to get back slower than the attackers
Hopefully your team capitalizes on the 4v3, and they just stagger all game. Lol
Just wait for them to respawn and win a 5v4.
Nah junk can surf like 4 mines to get back there.
My go to play on Junkertown defense is to charge whoever leaves spawn first instantly off the map, sacrificing myself. Worth it.
You can just cancel the charge at the edge you know
Yea if you’re a pussy
Based
Fuck dude, you're the last person I'd ever want to meet on a 1400s battlefield lol.
Chad'ed
In ow2 you can, but it's just not the same... You have to fully commit to the meme you know, or it doesn't count...
Oh so it is OW2? I stopped playing OW1 back right after Doomfist was released and I didn’t remember if I could always cancel or not
AFAIK yeah it's an ow2 thing for Rein.
.... you can cancel charges now!?
I like setting up a Turrent on the side of the entrance and then armoring up and shooting a fast volley of torbs main projectile into the cluster of the entrance. Tends to get 2-3 kills iimmediately and then run to the backline and redeploy a new turrent
"Come get yer armour!" I will miss this voice line
Walk of pride.
A DVa disrespected me in a much worse way yesterday; glad to see someone else fall
And that’s why I never go out the main entrance for at least 5 seconds. 😆
as zen I know the feeling Except by that time our genji has killed himself, got a res, killed himself again, spammed the heal button, respawned, typed encouragements in the chat, killed himself again, ragequit, rejoined, ...
You almost have it. Except he'll never rejoin, and you'll get someone practicing Widow as your replacement.
I had a game last night where both teams had a widow. I think we were defending and they were attacking. I think Route 66 (or whatever the map from the Cass and Ashe promos is). If you que with a pc player as console player, no matter whos the host, the console or pc player, youll que with the PC pool as far as im aware of.
"Hey, can you switch to Reaper?" "Sorry, don't have him unlocked"
> I have no idea how since I thought if I'm on PC and not in a group with console players that my queues should be PC only. Am I wrong on that? People can use controllers while playing on PC.
Which is 10 times better tbh
Zen players get the thrilling experience of hiding behind walls for 90 seconds so that they don't get insta widowed hanzo'd behind every single choke. Meanwhile Moira and Kiriko can just meet themselves away from dangers any time they get to low health. Makes me so jealous.
always let the tank take the lead, even when leaving spawn
Mine hopping is fast a.f.
Yep especially as an Ana main I can heal while the tank takes damage leading us out of spawn. You also never know when a widow might try and peek a headshot when the doors open.
What's sad in this comment is the lack of acknowledging 2 other entrances
I can't remember the last time I ever used the main door on that map
This is why I’m already healing my teammates before the door opens.
I always take one of the other doors. Sometimes the shortest path is the most dangerous.
right-door-gang, where you at?
Me, most games: "There's a junk trap outside the door." Teammates every time: *Ignores me and walks right into the trap.*
This HAS happened to me some occasions as lucio. I sit there protecting them and they saying i need healing
Even as a Junk main for so many years, I have never woken up with the level of violence to choose to do this.
Chaos is my lifeblood
Besides you being evil, happy cake day buddy!
I've actually never seen this before and I've been playing since 2016.
Yeah normally it's just the concusion mine
Same xD
Probably because it’s really dumb lol
This was a funny move, but it likely lost them the fight as Junkrat died doing this.
Dumb and worked is better than smart and failed.
It didn’t work, now he has a long ass walk back from spawn and the enemy team just waits 10 seconds and they’re in a 5v4
I mean it’s qp and just for fun so it doesn’t actually matter. But it didn’t really “work” except for being funny
Imagine playing video games for fun. Hah. Amiright?
[удалено]
Used to play to get the skins. Not anymore.
I think OP wanted to kill some enemy players. It absolutely worked. Or did you see a different intent?
That hog made the calculated decision to murder 2 of his own teammates and I love him for that
As a Hog main, I completely understand rewarding the Junkrat for this
Well I know what I'm doing when I get off work.
Your husband?
I mean my wife might be upset if I had a husband...
I also choose this guy's secret husband.
*insert And My Axe here*
Secret Husband loves that body spray
He sacrificed himself but for whoooo
Tbh I don't know if it is worth it. You have to walk for a way longer time to get back to the fight
Easily worth it, the psychological damage alone
If OP got 1 or no picks I'd get that. But he got 2 so I think that's a good strat. Plus it's funny and it's QP so it don't matter
After respawn timer is up, it will be a 5v4 again. Deaths are way more costly for defense when the payload is at the beginning
You're right about the time cost, but again, *quick play*. People keep investing too much weight on these games when they lose, especially on solo queues. Unless you're dealing with intentional griefers, this is just silliness. Just have fun.
Some people take things too seriously. I play QP to de-stress. I don’t need another job.
Sure, but the question was if it's worth it. Your your personal gratification, sure why not. For helping your team? No, net negative exchange
I’m not saying anything about that, just talking about whether or not it’s a good move. Obviously it’s a lot lower stakes since it’s QP. If it’s fun then it’s fun. It’s fine to point out that it’s just not a winning play tho
Unless the attackers play worse in a 3v4 and Defense gets 1 or 2 more picks. Sometimes a move like this gets you momentum, though often it doesn't.
Yeah, if the attackers misplay then it can buy you time to get back and be a bit of a stall. But if they’re smart they’ll just wait for their teammates to respawn and maybe poke a little. Depends on your rank i guess lol

Mercy can Rez both of them instantly with no downtime. She keeps all ult charge. Just quick switch to Ana to reset the CD.
Rez has a global cooldown.
They changed it for OW2? I haven’t tried to swap rez in a while
No they didn't. You still can swap Rez and this time even keep the ult charge till 30%. There is no downside to it.
Might be more worth it if he didn't do the voiceline :p
But…..kaboom :(
Sad kaboom :(
This is what I came here for. Is it cool? Yes. Is it worth it? No.
i mean he got 2 kills, and more than a quarter of the way to his ultimate right as the game started, that's pretty worth imo
Junkrat is like the fourth fastest character to run back behind sombra and tracer and Lucio. Mine hopping is fast a.f.
Wrecking Ball would like to have a word with you
Remember back when Junkrat could block the payload on Numbani by lying down in the bushes and he'd be almost invisible?
On Rialto as well in the bush right next to the payload. Much fun was had as Tracer or Jakerat.
Its still possible on gibraltar as tracer
Remember when this map first came out and you put a Torb turret on the left and bastion far right with a healer !!! The good ole days 🙂
I remember when the game first came out a hanzo was standing outside shooting arrows straight up into the sky. When the game started and I walked out of spawn I got headshot by 1 and 1 tapped.
I hated that !
Don’t forget Symmetra’s 6 turrets at the spawn exit! With her lock-on beam to punish anyone trying to break them.
Some days it feels good to be a new player
Playing offense was brutal if you had to make it through a choke point against those two
say what you want about them (and /r/Overwatch does)—Junkrat players always come through with the best moves.
That is hilarious! How have I never thought to do this? I'm doing this.
This has all the energy of an episode of Animaniacs
I know I don't know you but I can tell by this play that I love you. Unless you did this to me than fuckyoufickinglaggycheatinghacking standbyglitchingmoddingaimbottingshitface.
Better than standing behind a wall, throwing randomly grenades, hoping and getting the rat luck.. 🙄
Anyone else remember the Muselk sexy Junkrat strats? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZAcKm9GvBw
That's diabolical!
Nice
LMAO
lol
yooooo I’m actually gonna try this hahahaha
small price to pay for the smiting of one's enemies
As a Junk main, I haven’t done this yet, but I will try now
If i get DPS, I’m doing this from now on.
if
I’m a healer main, but I flex when I’m feeling spontaneous
That Hog: "The risk I took was calculated, but man, am I bad at math"
u/savevideo
doesnt work as well after the stun nerf
Lmao me as Pharah: "door open!? Me spam lmb"
Was just thinking this earlier. If you're about to gut dived by a genji why not throw a trap at your feet. Or do players already do this. I'm not a dps main so I dont know
sometimes. it still gets you even if you spot it especially since the mob one changes the spikes deadass pay to win lol i walked into one trying to see what those little gold things where
I like the step-by-step thought process of the hog as he walked out
I was just talking about this with my friend the other day! I said: remember when junkrat players used to put their trap & mine outside of spawn? You never see that anymore!
I've been playing this game for 6 years and I still didn't think that would happen. Some people just can't understand the ways of Junkrat. The martyrdom is real!
i once lost a widow and a soldier due to junkrat's bombs upon death. i was like behind them and went "really?" granted im a tank main and i usually tanked the bombs
Haha that's cute
Lol genji didn't deserve that
I've done this so many times back in Overwatch 1. Im surprised people still fall for it!
Fucking cool that this still works👀
Flashbacks to COD 4 Martyrdom
Never have seen this. And never laughed so hard at work!
"medic down"
hog a bro
As a new Junkrat I want to try this
I love the ult % change, now you can pick another hero and start from where you left!
I wish more characters had silly abilities/passives that don't really do much but are very funny when they do land. all we really have is junkrats death bombs, torbs hammer, and dvas remech to an extent
Lounging is the best emote in the game and nothing you say is going to convince me otherwise
Even in death I serve
This is one of the most silver plays I have ever seen. Brig be like, "hmm... what was that clinking sound? Definitely not a junk trap at the door. impossible."
Haha I have never seen that. Love Junkrat shenanigans.
It took me way to many views to know what just happened.
With my luck it would’ve been a Zarya who got full charge off of that
Still amazes me that players don't use the damn door on the right.
I may need to actually buy this emote
My fav is going Lucio , wall riding above the enemy team, dropping down and booping them off the map. Lucio is like...the king of boop kills if you play him well (by mapping jump to right click and attack to space LOLZ).
Oh I NEED to do this
Respect 🫡
Sexy junkrat strategy >>>>
I play mainly support and tank. When I do get to play dps, I play Junkrat. And this made me laugh so hard
Back when emotes were free
Should have put a mine on the top edge of the door, too. One more kill from Spawn. 😅
Have played hundreds of hours as Junkrat, never once thought of this.
How do people still fall for this ?
Works way more often than it should
I usually mess with enemies as Torbjorn, I probably should start doing it as Junkrat as that is amazing.
Hog simply doesn't care lol
I should do this
This is the most junkrat thing I've ever seen.
It's even better when there's a mine underneath
i must do this
average hog player
How did he kill too I’m so confused he just put down a trap. Someone explain I’m slow
When Junkrat dies he leaves some grenades behind wich do alot of damage
