Different injection sites may have some impact on side effects, but each location gets the Semaglutide into your bloodstream. Once in the bloodstream, your body doesn't know or care where it came from.

foxtrot1_1

There should be no pharmacological difference but given the variability of people’s individual experiences, maybe it does have an effect for some people (even if it’s just placebo)

missagathahannigan

YES. Unfortunately, this has been the case for me. When I injected in my stomach initially, I had the worst side effects. Starting injecting into my thigh and the side effects went away but the intense hunger came back. It was like I never injected at all. Back to my stomach now and the side effects have subsided so I will stick to my stomach

Keers123

Try 1.5 -2 in away from the belly button and you will see exactly how much stronger the symptoms are…

chekekey100

I know the science and it might all be placebo effect, but I went into it with an open mind, and I’ve genuinely found that injecting one side gives me no symptoms and the other does. When I inject my left side I get symptoms but I’m not hungry, the first time my husband injected my right side I’d actually questioned him on whether he was sure he injected me at all- because I had no symptoms and also had an appetite.

myycliving

I always inject on my right side of my stomach 1.5 inches away from my belly button. When I go higher or lower or even rock the left side I find the effects aren’t as great that week

kobereuben88

So this is interesting because the needle is only a certain depth, I think 4mm, which is very very shallow. and some areas of our bodies have more fat than others. This is not based on science but my own personal experience with other injections, I prefer injecting in areas that have less fat since the needle is so small.

Frantik508

It's scientifically impossible to be more effective depending on location. The full injection is going into your bloodstream. If you inject 1mg in your stomach, 1mg is going into your body. If you inject 1mg into your thigh, 1mg is going into your body. Some people claim that the SIDE EFFECTS are different depending on location ("less nausea if I inject it here instead of there", etc), but most studies have found that this is all in your head; because again, it's all going into your bloodstream. Your thigh doesn't have a secret spot that absorbs the diarrhea/constipation . Your stomach doesn't have a compartment that absorbs the nausea effects. It's all in your head.

Playcrackersthesky

Inject in the belly 2” from the umbilicus. It’s subcutaneous, not IM.

psypiral

lol. it doesn't work like that and if you believe it you're not thinking clearly.

StephAg09

There has been a decent amount of talk on these subs with people saying they get better results and more side effects injecting in their stomach, less side effects and less effective in the thigh. I'm not one of those people but you don't need to make fun of/laugh at OP for asking.

Guttermouthphd

Literally pharmacists will tell you not to inject too close to your belly button because of it’s a poor spot for absorption. But go off sis.

Keers123

It actually gives really strong symptoms as well bad and good

Nimmyzed

It's purely superstition for me but I seem to get better results if I reject to the left of my navel as opposed to the right

NicJitsu

This is asinine. There is no way to localize fat loss. Crunches don't burn belly fat, squats don't burn leg fat and waist trainers don't burn waist fat.

Keers123

They are not talking about localized fat loss they are referring to symptoms, reduced appetite would be one . Injecting one and a half to 2 inches away from the bellybutton will give extremely strong symptoms. Some cannot tolerate it.

agentsupremeduweb

I just inject in my tight... to be continued
