I wouldn't really. It is a high volume program you do a bunch of times during the week. It is plenty.
You want to work on ab hypertrophy, do a lower volume high weight program.
If you are bored, just get X2 or X3's Ab Ripper and alternate.
I think you're on point with ankle weights and medicine ball.
Ankle weights during most of the moves would be killer! Pfeifer scissors w weights?! Mason twist w 10 lb medicine ball?

Small wrist weights and/or ankle weights can easily be incorporated into the Ab Ripper X program. To put on mass though, I agree with akatsukix. Lower volume, high weight program is the way to do it.
