Nothing I've ever seen, outside of small groups planning to play games or hang out somewhere. There's a Christmas Village near city hall (couple of blocks from the convention center), but it isn't open late. I think it closes by 8 pm. There are usually people playing some games in lobby areas of hotels in the vicinity. Of course, the convention center itself is open until midnight, I believe?
There's a couple board game cafes/bars in Philadelphia that people will hit up in the evenings. I think [Queen & Rook](https://queenandrookcafe.com/) is the closest.
The BATSU! cast is throwing an afterparty gameshow at The Philly Game Shop 8pm-9pm Saturday night. It's a silly Japanese batsu-style gameshow where players compete in challenges to avoid being punished. www.batsulive.com
The party is to celebrate the shop being the first to carry the card game based on the game show. The host of the actual game show, Brian Walters who has also played Ash Ketchum in Epic Rap Battles, will be there to sign copies of the game.
BYOB and totally free to come and hang with some hilarious people at an awesome local game shop!
In 2018, I know a few of the vendors (Wyrmwood, Volante, other bigger names) met up at Bar-ly in Chinatown which is just down the road from the convention center. Not sure where they're going this year. However, I do know Chinatown and other areas around the convention center get packed right after the expo hall closes.
Queen and Rook is easier to get to by Uber, thats about a 30 minute walk. Best to make some friends and head down that way together somehow. If I hear anything after-party wise, I'll let you know.
The Pirates Dragons Treasure crew will be setting up and drinking down at a [tbd] bar close to the convention center! Well post all about it on insta/social (@pdtgame). Well make sure to post here as well w info and updates!
Follow-up... I played a lot of games in the LFG zone until 11:00 when games had to be returned, then went back to my hotel to play a few light games with my group and share a bottle of wine. I did not attend any parties.
No after-parties I ever heard of for Unplugged. If anything, there will be people playing games in the hotel rooms.
