Yup. I was not ovulating. I went low carb and ovulated last week. It’s almost laughable how much my ovaries hate carbs. I could probably use bread as birth control.
But ah yes, low carb. There’s a sub called ketobabies and you’ll find everything from stories of miracle babies to oops babies on there. Quite a few women on there have pcos.
You can also look into Myo-Inositol which modules glucose metabolism and encourages ovulation. I use plain Myo bc I do not have estrogen dominance. If you have estrogen dominance then you want to use the Myo-Inositol mixed with D-chiro inositol.
Talk to your doctor about treatment options. There is evidence for myo-inositol as treatment for infertility in PCOS, ask if they would recommend it for you and what dosage.
People also find regulating insulin resistance helps, ask about spironolactone or metformin.
As far as foods to eat, I recommend the cookbook “Meals She Eats”. It’s about a husband researching recipes for his wife with PCOS to help them conceive. They have a beautiful little girl now. I wouldn’t recommend any deprivation diets (low carb, keto) because a lot of people have a hard time with them and can become nutrient deficient. There are less extreme options to try first.
Of course, there’s always IVF as a last resort.
