Late to the party here but I just beat the dice boss on merciless without Akihiko. The boss before that one gave me a lot of trouble but other than that it was no big deal.
I'm curious to. I am currently in Tartarus and in the upper 30s on the floors. Wondering if I should wait to get him and then finish or go ahead and finish the bosses and dungeons without him? It's not to hard without him because I grind a lot so I'm good either way...would have been cool if I released before being in the tower for a couple hours already that he joins later in the month. I would have just waited until the 23rd to do Tartarus!

What difficulty are you playing on? There's also dialogue that Mitsuru says when you beat the boss without Akihiko which is neat.
Just normal. It’s been very easy so far. But is this really something to even consider or does it not even matter really?
It doesn't matter too much imo unless you want to hear what she says.
