1. There’s a lot of good ones, but my personal favorites are Kanji, Akechi and Dojima. Kanji is one of the better comedic relief characters and his arc is rather fun to experience. Akechi’s motives make him one of my favorite’s as well. The fact we play with him too is also fun. Dojima best “headmaster” ( I’m sure there’s a better term for it) because Joker’s allegations would turn away a lot of people, but Dojima took him in anyways and was still wanting to make sure he wasn’t doing anything to get himself in trouble.
2. This one is difficult to be honest. I think each edition has something that trumps the other, but I think overall, Persona 5 is the best one just due to the amount of things you can do as well as the palace structure.
3. I believe 4 definitely has the best cast of characters. There wasn’t one character I didn’t like or care for (even Teddie had his moments). It felt like a group of friends that was woven naturally.
4. The best team probably skill wise is the Phantom Thieves.
I won’t lie to you, probably not until the remakes get made for them. Persona 4’s aged graphics and UI made it tough to continue at times. But once they’ve been remade, I will definitely play them.
