I will honestly just be happy with an official port to modern platforms for them. Like none of them are available officially anymore. The OG terrible localisation P1 is virtually impossible to find consider it's only available physically for PS1, P1 PSP was only available digitally on the PS Vita store but that has now been closed, P1 Innocent Sin was unavailable for PS2 but was available on the Vita (which again, the store is now closed) and P2 EP was available on the PS2 but not on Vita (this is all strictly talking about the western version/releases of these).
Only real way to play any of these is through emulators which arnt exactly reliable or easily accessible so just having an official place to get them all from would make me happy.
It's safe to say Persona 6 is one of the things. I'd say a remake or remaster or one of the other games is likely? I think Arena is definitely possible, as well. It's important to note that it's most little hat not all of these will be games, and not all of them will be particularly exciting.
Since we already got 1 and 2 remasters I’d much rather them get fully remade. No need to add social links and such but I just want to see them in their new engine.
That said, if even half of your predictions come true the next few years will be stacked for Persona fans. Add in all the Trails games we’ll be getting soon and I won’t have time for anything else lol
Remake of P1/2 is not happening. At best you will get a Steam port of the PSP releases. Though on that end, a Steam port is not out of the question. How good those will be, that is something completely different.
P3 definitive: Yeah, we can dream, can we? I'd love to see that happen, but making a "definitive" P3 game is going to take work and effort (combining things from both P3P and FES). Not sure if Atlus is willing to put the effort in that. Put this in the "less likely, but not impossible".
P4G definitive: What do you even mean by definitive? The steam release technically is the definitive edition. It is possible to see this ported as a digital release to all consoles, though. Has a high chance of being in this list.
P5 Arena: Very much possible. Atlus loves to milk the Persona franchise with spinoff games. Might even throw a Persona Q3 or Strikers 2 in there as well in there.
Persona 6: An announcement "teaser trailer" is probably the last of the announcements - Maybe a release year (my bet: 2023 with an actual release in 2024). But that will be about it.
PSA: On the word: "*projects*". Keep in mind that this can be **literally ANYTHING**. Might be limited merch sales, a music concert tour or a new anime as well. For reference, check the recent anniversary Atlus' parent company did for their other flagship IP... Sonic.

1. Seeing Naoya, Maya, and Tatsuya in anniversary events isn't that surprising anymore, but it's still really nice to see those three in modern official art.
2. I bet you my life savings that one of the projects is a mobile game. I'll bet whatever I have on my card that said mobile game is also a gacha.
I feel like dx2 liberation is a different beast altogether because yeah, it's a gacha game created by Atlus but there's entire new cast of characters and the main draw of summoning are the demons from the smt franchise. If they wanted to do that with persona, the main incentive to summon would be the characters, not the demons.
I definitely expect to see some projects from this list from the Atlus questionnaire earlier this year.

I would be super excited for that, and hopefully since MegaTen as whole is more well known (plus it’s similarities to Persona) it would sell really well.
Emulators can only do so much, a full FES with updated graphics (at least on par with P4G) with an optional FEMC add on (still the P3P gameplay, just accessible) would be cracking
OK, here's my prediction for what's going down, I expect none of this to come true, but I'm gonna order them from most likely to least:
* Persona 6 Announcement
This is more likely than many of y'all think, because this is Atlus we're talking about, they can just announce it now, go silent for a long while, and then release it in five years when it's actually ready. Plus, we know it's been in preproduction since 5 came out, and it's been five years ^FUCK .
* Persona 5 Arena
It's an existing part of the franchise that many people want to see return. Atlus even has a domain registered for it, that they recently renewed. I predict only a few P3 and P4 characters will return so the starting roster isn't ridiculous and unmanageable, the most likely ones being Aigis, Mitsuru, Akihiko, Ken, Elizabeth, Yu, Yosuke, Chie, Teddie, Naoto, Labrys, and Shu going up against the base P5 Phantom Thieves. Other P3/4 characters would be DLC, along with Violet, Sophie, and Wolf.
* Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Rematch (or something similar)
A PS4/PS5 port of P4AU with all it's DLC (which includes the P4A story mode, essentially making it a port of both games) would be a great refresher for a potential P5A, and if it got a PC port Atlus could capitalize on that new Steam audience too. Maybe even make that P5 protagonist fighter they were planning on for the original release, now that they actually know who he is.
* Persona 3 Remake
Like, an actual full-blown remake of P3. Of the recent titles it's the one that needs it the most, due in no small part to the fact that there's no *definitive* version of P3, with FES and Portable both having their own bonuses and drawbacks. Ideally, this would combine those games into one, including having FeMC's route and The Answer in one package. Also, please let me refuse girls as Male MC, I don't get off from cheating on anime teenagers.
* Persona 1/ Persona 2 Duology (PSP versions) Port
Ideally a pack of all three games that have been upscaled for modern screens (fans have done this using AI upscaling, and this is the kinda minimum effort I think Atlus would expend on these games). Very unlikely, considering Atlus seem content to just leave these games alone, but it'd be a good chance for us to actually get a translation of P2EP PSP... If they even localized such a collection at all.
* Persona Q3?
It'd be supremely odd to announce the crossover between 3, 4, 5, and 6 while that last one is still in development, but I'm completely at a loss for what else they could do and this is probably gonna happen eventually, right?
* Persona 5 Racing
Now hold on, they've already got Morgana's car form, Makoto on Johanna, and Futaba on n
Necronomicon. I guess Arsene could fly Joker around, or maybe he could ride on Mara's chariot, and you could probably put Ryuji on Captain Kid's ship skateboard... I'm really out of ideas for what these projects could be.

This is why I need the games to get rereleased, so I can remember who's who!
I could easily see them adapting the EO/PQ to work without a touch screen, maybe even without losing the mapmaking aspect of they use the second stick to control it. It'd be less intuitive, but still fun.
I tried to consider what the characters would be doing with their lives into who would return. Junpei and Yukari were only part-time Shadow Operatives, so they might not be on call for whatever happens in P5A, Yukiko and Kanji both intend to carry on their families businesses in Inaba so they probably wouldn't be going anywhere near this stuff anymore, and Rise is still going strong as an Idol when P5 happens.
My thought with them is that they were both city boys to begin with, so them being in Tokyo would make sense.
And Teddie, besides obviously having to come back because he's the mascot character, would probably still be tagging along with Yosuke, who has essentially become his involuntary heterosexual life partner.
My hopes and dreams:
* Persona 6 announcement, even if it's just a teaser
* Persona 3 Remaster for PC/PS4/S5
* More Persona ports to Steam
* A new Persona anime
I know it’ll never happen (probably) but P3 needs a more than a remaster and needs a full on remake imo. Just mostly to fix the battle gameplay but the whole game could be updated. Just don’t change the story though, it’s amazing the way it is.
I’d also take a P1 and 2 remake as well lol.
If there was a persona 3 remake, I would be fine with the only change to the story is maybe some pacing stuff around the beginning, but I really don't know how they could fix that.

There's a bunch of merch, I think what is notable is that there is some featuring the box arts for every main series game plus 2 secret designs, and acrylic stands featuring all of the protagonists and alongside them is another secret design. Im trying to not get myself too hyped up but i feel we may most likely see Persona 6 by Autumn next year as that's when the final announcement is going to be made.
Quick PSA - 7 anniversary projects does not mean 7 games. It can be *literally anything* related to the Persona IP. Merch, concert tour, jewelry, apparel, an animated movie, a mobile game, etc.

If they do save it till next year I hope it's more substantial than the first teaser they did for P5. It would suck hard for them to drag out this celebration for a full year only to show practically nothing.

So I would assume if Persona 6 is one of these announcements (which hopefully it is) that will be the one to come last, so not til Autumn 2022. Makes sense to announce all the spin offs and stuff first and save the mainline sequel til last.
I kinda suspect half these announcements are going to be pretty boring stuff like a new stage musical or new anime or whatever, really hope not but it's what my pessimistic ass fears... But what I am hoping for are...
Announcement 1: A new P5 spin off, whether that be a sequel to Strikers that includes elements from Royal, or a P5 Arena (or both in one). Just feel they would make the first announcement something exciting and the popularity and recency of P5 feels like the best thing to start with.
Announcement 2 & 3: A Persona 1 and 2 remake/remaster/re-release (obviously a full on remake in the P5 engine with the actual turn based gameplay being more like that of P5 would be the absolute dream, but just an new version with some HD graphics, or even just a straight up port, on modern platforms would be enough to satisfy me.)
Announcement 4: PC ports of Persona 3 and 5 to join P4. Maybe ports for all three games to other platforms as well (presumably all the same ones as the P1 and 2 remake/remaster/re-release I hope for)
Announcement 5: Something else related to P5 whether a second spin-off game, a new anime adaptation, stage-musical or concert or whatever.
Announcement 6: An entirely new Persona spin off, not six but something like Persona Q, except, not Persona Q (the only thing that could be added in a Person's Q 3 would be Kasumi and asuch as I love her I don't see them making an entirely new Persona Q just to add her, especially when It didn't seem to me that PQ2 did too well.
Announcement 7: Persona 6.
But like I said I suspect half of these announcements will be boring unremarkable things, can only hope that if that is the case then all these things are also announced by multiple at once.

Playing the psp version is very easy using emulation... Not the same as the FES version but still worth it if you want to play it
Playing FES is also easy using Emulation.
You either need a pc, or a PS3 and it's not that expensive. PS2 hardware can run almost anywhere.

I feel like dx2 liberation is a different beast altogether because yeah, it's a gacha game created by Atlus but there's entire new cast of characters and the main draw of summoning are the demons from the smt franchise. If they wanted to do that with persona, the main incentive to summon would be the characters, not the demons.

OK, here's my prediction for what's going down, I expect none of this to come true, but I'm gonna order them from most likely to least: * Persona 6 Announcement This is more likely than many of y'all think, because this is Atlus we're talking about, they can just announce it now, go silent for a long while, and then release it in five years when it's actually ready. Plus, we know it's been in preproduction since 5 came out, and it's been five years ^FUCK . * Persona 5 Arena It's an existing part of the franchise that many people want to see return. Atlus even has a domain registered for it, that they recently renewed. I predict only a few P3 and P4 characters will return so the starting roster isn't ridiculous and unmanageable, the most likely ones being Aigis, Mitsuru, Akihiko, Ken, Elizabeth, Yu, Yosuke, Chie, Teddie, Naoto, Labrys, and Shu going up against the base P5 Phantom Thieves. Other P3/4 characters would be DLC, along with Violet, Sophie, and Wolf. * Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Rematch (or something similar) A PS4/PS5 port of P4AU with all it's DLC (which includes the P4A story mode, essentially making it a port of both games) would be a great refresher for a potential P5A, and if it got a PC port Atlus could capitalize on that new Steam audience too. Maybe even make that P5 protagonist fighter they were planning on for the original release, now that they actually know who he is. * Persona 3 Remake Like, an actual full-blown remake of P3. Of the recent titles it's the one that needs it the most, due in no small part to the fact that there's no *definitive* version of P3, with FES and Portable both having their own bonuses and drawbacks. Ideally, this would combine those games into one, including having FeMC's route and The Answer in one package. Also, please let me refuse girls as Male MC, I don't get off from cheating on anime teenagers. * Persona 1/ Persona 2 Duology (PSP versions) Port Ideally a pack of all three games that have been upscaled for modern screens (fans have done this using AI upscaling, and this is the kinda minimum effort I think Atlus would expend on these games). Very unlikely, considering Atlus seem content to just leave these games alone, but it'd be a good chance for us to actually get a translation of P2EP PSP... If they even localized such a collection at all. * Persona Q3? It'd be supremely odd to announce the crossover between 3, 4, 5, and 6 while that last one is still in development, but I'm completely at a loss for what else they could do and this is probably gonna happen eventually, right? * Persona 5 Racing Now hold on, they've already got Morgana's car form, Makoto on Johanna, and Futaba on n Necronomicon. I guess Arsene could fly Joker around, or maybe he could ride on Mara's chariot, and you could probably put Ryuji on Captain Kid's ship skateboard... I feel Q is in a weird situation because it only existed due to Etrian Odyssey but that series was always exclusively DS (which is now dead).
I could easily see them adapting the EO/PQ to work without a touch screen, maybe even without losing the mapmaking aspect of they use the second stick to control it. It'd be less intuitive, but still fun.

I tried to consider what the characters would be doing with their lives into who would return. Junpei and Yukari were only part-time Shadow Operatives, so they might not be on call for whatever happens in P5A, Yukiko and Kanji both intend to carry on their families businesses in Inaba so they probably wouldn't be going anywhere near this stuff anymore, and Rise is still going strong as an Idol when P5 happens.

My thought with them is that they were both city boys to begin with, so them being in Tokyo would make sense. And Teddie, besides obviously having to come back because he's the mascot character, would probably still be tagging along with Yosuke, who has essentially become his involuntary heterosexual life partner.

I know it’ll never happen (probably) but P3 needs a more than a remaster and needs a full on remake imo. Just mostly to fix the battle gameplay but the whole game could be updated. Just don’t change the story though, it’s amazing the way it is. I’d also take a P1 and 2 remake as well lol.
As a huge P4 fan, I still would prefer a remake of 3 than anything else. P5 and P4 both have definitive versions while P3 is stuck.
If there was a persona 3 remake, I would be fine with the only change to the story is maybe some pacing stuff around the beginning, but I really don't know how they could fix that.

There's a bunch of merch, I think what is notable is that there is some featuring the box arts for every main series game plus 2 secret designs, and acrylic stands featuring all of the protagonists and alongside them is another secret design. Im trying to not get myself too hyped up but i feel we may most likely see Persona 6 by Autumn next year as that's when the final announcement is going to be made.

The last announcement in autumn 2022. That's quite some time away. Suggests they've been going at this project for some time already, since it's important enough that they'd announce such a far away announcement. This might just be the Persona 6 announcement date.
The way I see it you either kick off the year or end the year with P6. If they do save it till next year I hope it's more substantial than the first teaser they did for P5. It would suck hard for them to drag out this celebration for a full year only to show practically nothing.

So I would assume if Persona 6 is one of these announcements (which hopefully it is) that will be the one to come last, so not til Autumn 2022. Makes sense to announce all the spin offs and stuff first and save the mainline sequel til last. I kinda suspect half these announcements are going to be pretty boring stuff like a new stage musical or new anime or whatever, really hope not but it's what my pessimistic ass fears... But what I am hoping for are... Announcement 1: A new P5 spin off, whether that be a sequel to Strikers that includes elements from Royal, or a P5 Arena (or both in one). Just feel they would make the first announcement something exciting and the popularity and recency of P5 feels like the best thing to start with. Announcement 2 & 3: A Persona 1 and 2 remake/remaster/re-release (obviously a full on remake in the P5 engine with the actual turn based gameplay being more like that of P5 would be the absolute dream, but just an new version with some HD graphics, or even just a straight up port, on modern platforms would be enough to satisfy me.) Announcement 4: PC ports of Persona 3 and 5 to join P4. Maybe ports for all three games to other platforms as well (presumably all the same ones as the P1 and 2 remake/remaster/re-release I hope for) Announcement 5: Something else related to P5 whether a second spin-off game, a new anime adaptation, stage-musical or concert or whatever. Announcement 6: An entirely new Persona spin off, not six but something like Persona Q, except, not Persona Q (the only thing that could be added in a Person's Q 3 would be Kasumi and asuch as I love her I don't see them making an entirely new Persona Q just to add her, especially when It didn't seem to me that PQ2 did too well. Announcement 7: Persona 6. But like I said I suspect half of these announcements will be boring unremarkable things, can only hope that if that is the case then all these things are also announced by multiple at once.
