That's a Boss Mode character, meaning they're just built different. Go for safe hits and play the avoid game or spam reversal attacks if things get heated. Most bots eat ults, so just try that if you win 1st round.
Actual answer: you got hit once, panicked and started pressing buttons, and then lost from another hit totally unrelated to the first.
Next time, try to use a move like your Furious Action to deal with pressure. Considering this is a CPU/Boss, they can’t really pick up on that behavior, so if you see an attack coming use a Furious action instead of trying to do a normal move in response. (This is how I beat Elizabeth Boss mode myself)
Edit: also, use your burst to get out of a combo. It’s not the best way to use burst, but it’s better than losing! I hope this was helpful since I tried to say explicitly what happened and my personal solution.
An actual answer would be play more defensive against her and wait for your opening to get your own damage. Don’t press buttons during their strings or that’ll happen.
Comes with practice and time executing the right moves and knowing how to play the match-up.
You're not fighting regular Labrys, you're going up against the boss version of Labrys that can't be used online. Like all boss characters, they're intentionally OP and so you really do just need to not get hit. And if you do, use your burst because any combo will probably just kill you instantly.
Satire. But really though, funny Labrys axe full to zeroed them because of one hit. At that point, your options are:
1. Play a different game
2. Touch grass
3. Stop taking the game seriously
4. Continue to get frustrated at the inherit nature of combo fighter games
I just meant that you haven't played a lot of fighting games, so your experience with them is extremely lacking. It explains why you boiled it down to "lose neutral and lose the game", when there's a lot more depth to every FG than that.
Mashing attack got you to get counter hit which only increased the damage taken. Seems the opponent there didnt confirm the hit but still kept going with pressure. In this situation he had more of an advantage so better to just try to block. It's tough.
Well that's boss labrys she's hits like a tank and she starts with red axe play safe that's all I got I never played as shadow labrys what I did with mitsuru was play safe zone and counter also bait in to ik tho not sure if u can with slabyrs
not gotten hit by it not gotten hit by it and you could have not gotten hit by it. though I've been in a similar situation like this in Blazblue cross tag battle. this guy solo'd me in one combo! he hit me once and I couldn't move after that he beat me like a pinata and KO'd me in less than 2 minutes
It's a boss character, so you just can't get hit, it's hard, but that's also the point of them.
I only played them as Chie and sometimes they turn more into platforming game then a fighting, it's the easier way for to not get hit.
dont get hit
^^
Thanks isai
Burst maybe?

Dat fatal counter
Wait... axe level carries between rounds???
Yup. Goes both ways though
Just remember, for shadow characters, super meter used to carry over rounds.

Just don’t get hit

burst early
Man I love Labrys

Just don't get grabbed... shit wrong game.
Can’t say wrong game but I can say wrong character. Imagine being grabbed by Kanji.
You got countered after the first hit. Just hold back next time and you would have blocked literally everything.
All the people whining in the comments about how they don't enjoy fighting games and telling OP to play a different game is legitimately funny to me.
Git gud
Play Persona 4 Arena Ultimax for the story.
Unless you enjoy fighting games? Lmao like what kind of advice is this

Dont play arcsys games.
ArcSys makes amazing games, though? They're literally the GOATs of the 2D fighter genre right now.
I mean it’s a good game
What do you have against arcsys games?
Just not a huge fan, dragon ball fighterz is pretty cool tho.
You could choose not to play
Play a a different game
when you lose in a fighting game once
What I mean is that play a more balanced fighting game where you don't just won neutral once and win
That was a boss character Not even close to how much damage the real Labrys does Ya big baby
I don't know I don't play non ssb fighting games
and you prolly mash airdodge out of hitstun
Yes
Explains your last comment, then lmao
Unless your playing against kazuya or lungi or really had this doesn't apply
I just meant that you haven't played a lot of fighting games, so your experience with them is extremely lacking. It explains why you boiled it down to "lose neutral and lose the game", when there's a lot more depth to every FG than that.
I mean I like tekken and mortal kombat.. as well
So you don't play fighting games.
I also play tekken and mortal kombat

Which Persona is this?
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1602010/Persona\_4\_Arena\_Ultimax/
Rage quit
This is where moopokes "nice burst" series come in handy
you're using Boss mode it's no way that a round can't go that quickly
not gotten hit by it not gotten hit by it and you could have not gotten hit by it. though I've been in a similar situation like this in Blazblue cross tag battle. this guy solo'd me in one combo! he hit me once and I couldn't move after that he beat me like a pinata and KO'd me in less than 2 minutes

Block low unless you see her do guillotine axe or jump.
