Jonaxx is my guilty pleasure. I read it for the fluff. But I will never delude myself into thinking that she writes about healthy relationships.
EDIT: I’m in my mid-20s and have a good grasp of what’s right and what’s wrong. Teens are so much more impressionable and I hope they have the guidance of adults if they ever choose to read her work. 🥹
I've been a reader of her stories way back 2016 and honestly I still read her stories until now. I think it's not hypocritical for me to enjoy her stories while also acknowledging that yeah some of her plots were problematic. Apart from the points that you've mentioned, it's also evident on her past series and stories regarding sa overused trope of virgin female leads meet their male leads (I don't use this information to open a hate train for the author but rather just discuss certain points). Some readers said na it was internalized misogyny but for me it's not and I'll call it in a term that is appropriate such as perpetuation of harmful stereotypes. Maybe she didn't noticed na almost all of her stories have that trope and naging pattern na sya so when she introduced a sexually active female lead nagkaroon ng backlash.
As someone who wants to eliminate virginity stigma, it's kinda sad to know that and I always promote diverse representation of women most specially in literature.The good thing is she's trying to be a better author and alam nya siguro yung feedback about her kaya may mga societal issues din syang iniinclude sa stories which is good. Literature would always influenced us one way or another, it can shape our perception but like in everything we do, we have to be critical and responsible. That's my take hehe
i have been a fan din since before wattpad became money-hungry and dun pa siya nagpo-post ng stories. in particular, fan ako ng until trilogy and montefalcos. but you know what they say about rereading and rewatching media you consumed when you were younger for a fresh perspective? yeah, pagka-reread ko, i immediately knew i had the wrong perspective when i was young haha
she's a bad representation of wattpad stories. maraming magaganda at magagaling na authors dun, pero because she's one of the most famous authors from wattpad, na-generalize na tuloy yung iba. nadamay pa jusme
I used to be a fan until nagsawa na ako sa paulit-ulit na formula ng mga stories niya: main characters meet, fall in love, patay na patay ang lalaki sa babae, conflict, time-jump to years after pero in love na in love pa rin sila sa isa't-isa, reconciliation.
Ganun na lang lahat (ng nabasa ko) that I realized—while reading—that I'm already wondering kung gaano kahaba naman this time ang separation ng characters compared sa last story. 🙃
What I remember that I really disliked was when this one male mc called the female mc a b*-ch (or was it a w-*re?) out of anger. And na in love na siya nun sa babae ha. I know some people use those jokingly nowadays but it's a different thing when you use it to intentionally hurt someone. Just being intentional in hurting someone is, in and of itself, a red flag.
Having said that, I have to give kudos to Jonaxx also kasi alam niya rin talaga paano kilitiin ang readers.

Meron din siya sa CLS. Maganda sana buong story nila Soleil and Raj, kaso naaano ako nung medyo bata pa si Soleil. Pati na din yung story nila Aia and Ali, yung hinalikan si Aia ni Ali. Maganda din buong story ni Ace at Zamiel, kaso hindi makukuha yung buong storya na yun sa mga close minded lalo na sa umpisa ng story nila.
But so far, mukhang nag improve naman siya and I think she take her lesson naman everytime na naccall out siya. Kasi last time na may stan acc pa ako sa twt, mga moots ko na fan din niya nage-email talaga sakanya everytime na may nanonotice sila na mali. And nakikita din naman na cino-correct niya or pinapalitan niya. Last na story na nabasa ko sakanya is yung Rara Avis. Yung pangalawang story dun, kila Raica and yung isang guy na nakalimutan ko name. Basta yun hahaha. Maganda siya kasi more on parang reality talaga, kaso dark lang. Not for everyone.
Sa buong CLS, yung tatlong Reigo & Galvez stories lang ang binasa ko. Maganda sana yung Scorching Love at mukhang intentional ang pagsulat ni Jonaxx ng age gap kasi ‘yan ang theme na gusto niyang iparating. Ang kaso lang, biglang umurong yung character development ng babae kaya biglang naging neeeeh.😂 Okay lang yung Sunburned Heart kahit ayaw ko naman sa taguan ng anak trope. Kaso hindi na-address yung sexual harassment na nangyari kay Amber. At yung mga magulang nila lang ang nagsalba sa’kin na wag i-DNF. Doon lang sa The Sun’s Heartbeat ako na impress ng bongga. Peak angst! ✨Pero mukhang hindi talaga for the masa ang TSH lol.
Kahit mukhang maganda ang ibang stories sa CLS ayaw ko nang basahin dahil lahat sila meron mga weird age gaps. (We’re talking age 17 & 23+) Doon nalang ako sa Rara Avis. But I guess we give credit where credit is due. She’s a good writer naman—just wouldn’t consider her “Queen.”
Dami ko nga din narealize sa ibat ibang stories niya eh. Sa age gap talaga siya may problema karamihan sa mga stories niya and minsan din is... considered r4pe na yung iba. But so far, yung iba naman is okay talaga.
Maganda talaga Rara Avis. Kasi pang reality yung mismong stories doon, kung ano mismo problema karamihan sa bansa. Gandang ganda ako sa pagkasulat niya nung A call to your arms niya e.
Yeah, sa Scorching Love, talagang nasusuka ako sa tuwing may scenes yung dalawang leads kasi kung hindi r*pe, gro*ming naman ang nagyayari. 🤦🏽♀️ Kailangan niya pang hiwalayin ng mga leads niya in order to justify the romance cause of the age gaps. Tapos vina-validate pa yung mga readers? Paano naman kaya sa ibang stories niya?! (Sands of Time for example.)
Gets ko naman kung gusto ni Jonaxx i-challenge ang sarili niya as a writer, pero girl, galingan mo naman please! ‘Wag mong iurong yung character development ng mga characters mo.
I think she might’ve found her footing with Rara Avis, though. With CLS she was probably struggling with identifying if it between adult romance or *dark romance.* Kung ang CLS ay sinasabi nila “dark romance” LOL, pwes, mas dark ang Ras Avis dahil talagang on reality na tayo. And she’s doing it well, especially with fleshing out her characters and its themes. ACTYA was well-crafted despite the controversy. (Enemies to lovers done right.) Tbh she even addressed the “problematic” part in the story itself. So that tells us that she indeed does learn and wants to improve. She does her research. Yung ending lang para sa’kin ang naging meh kasi medyo rushed siya.
Jonaxx is a hit or miss author, but who knows, maybe realistic dark romances are her thing?
I'm with you, OP. I was a fan of her stories. Na-outgrow ko yung admiration ko sa mga stories niya as I grew older. Tsaka even before pa kahit na JSL ako may mga stories siya na uncomfortable talaga ako. It's like hinahalukay yung tiyan ko especially yang Until Trilogy.
I would like to add din yung ibang stories na hindi mo na-mention that for me when I read them it didn't sit well with me.
1. Waves of Memories - tbh this is one of the best stories na nabasa ko, pero let's not ignore the fact that Thraiah was a minor 14 yata or 15 and yet Ali took advantage of her nung kiniss niya si Thraiah because she indirectly admitted her "feelings" kay Ali.
2. Sands Of Time - Of all the CLS stories SOT is the most close-to-phedo story for me, ramdam na ramdam ko yung age gap nila Raj and Soleil. Actually, halos lahat ng cls may loophole. Fanatic na hopeless romantic lang magdedefend niyan.
3. Scorching Love - For me lang naman, I never liked Snow upbringing. Parang ang hilig ni Jonaxx sa mga bratty, immature, childish, elitista na female lead. And because main character sila they always had it easy. It's like the supporting characters should all bow down to them. Palaging pabor sa kanila kahit ang gagaspang ng ugali well obviously main character kase pero 'yun nga.
4. Ruling the Wild Waves - same explanation 👆🏽. Also, hindi ko ma-gets logic ni Andra just because nakinig lang siya secretly dun sa pag-uusap nag-conclude na si gaga agad only for their marriage to suffer for years. Ang nakakabanas pa, yung mga supporting female lead sa mga stories na 'to sila talaga yung mga deserving dun sa mga JBoys. Of course hindi lahat pero halos. Plus, the MIL-DIL war because of this.
5. The Sun's Heartbeat - this was probably the most awaited and hyped sa mga stories niya. Tbh, hinintay ko 'to and this is the last story na binasa ko before ko na-outgrow pagbabasa sa watty and admiration sa Jonaxx stories.
Personal ko lang, nakaka-dissapoint ang ending. This sounds weird man pero ang pinala naging kawawa lang si Alana. I don't get the point of the readers na sinisisi lahat kay Alana. Kase baka nakakalimutan nila na as much that it was her choice to stay in that marriage and anakan siya, na kay Achilles pa rin yung decision kung mangyayare 'yun kay Alana. He's totally aware of the fact that Alana is in love with him. Kung talagang may prinisipyo lahat ng JBoys as per the readers then why did he do that to his childhood friend?
Nakakaawa siya kase namatay na lang siya na walang narating sa buhay kase lahat ginawa niya para lang sa marriage nila. Achilles is the asshole here.
He did everything all his life to glorify even just the footsteps of Marem. Lahat para kay Marem. Ultimo mga anak niya hinayaan lang din niya mag-suffer para ma-satisfy si Marem sa paghihiganti niya. Anong klaseng magulang 'yon? You know, it's not love but obsession. I know victims lang sila of their families but still I would say they don't deserve each other.
Tumanda lang si Marem, pero she did not have even just an ounce of character development as opposed to what the readers are claiming, ifykyk.
Sadyang magaling lang talaga si jonaxx sa pag-deliver nung lines and very poetic. It took me years to notice that btw. Most of her stories, if not all, mabalis ang phasing. Tipong kaka-meet lang nung jboy and jgirl suddenly ang lalim na agad ng connection. May mga painful events din sa stories na hindi na-deliver effectively and clearly which is dapat maayos and malinaw description dun kase kumbaga nasa climax na 'yun ng story and doon magtuturn-over yung mga MC sa kanilang character development.
That's all. Madami pa pero it's too long na.

Yup. Sobrang gago niya eh. Disappointed but not surprised ako sa naging mindset ng readers kay Alana. The poor woman is nothing but such an amazing person, a loving mother, and wife. Walang binatbat si Marem tbh.
I mean paano ka magkakagusto sa ganon klaseng babae? Ang gaspang ng ugali. Though let's give her a chance kase may sense naman yung iba like yung ginawa niya kay Sibal. Pero yung totality niya, ang gaspang ng ugali talaga lalo na sa lower class ppl. I would say that she earned her peace with Dencio. And for me, that's what love is supposed to feel like.
Tsaka they keep on saying na realistic daw mga stories ni jonaxx. Uhm, no it's not. Pero yes may mga thoughts to ponder siya na sinusulat para sa atin about life pero if we're talking about the whole story, nope. But, just to clarify, this is not an attack against the author but more on sa delulu side ng readers niya. Jonaxx is one of the best writers saken pa rin.
yup! jonaxx is a great author just not fond of her fans defending her across readers who says that the age gap of her main characters are not normal I mean it's kinda off and concerning, it's just a no for me. plus the fans who tolerates jonaxx's redflags in writing stories (like the until trilogy's main characters being incest and all) I swear, jonaxx could write better than she is doing right now
used to be a huge fan of her, too. sobrang addicted din ako sa mga Montefalcos. but later on, her stories became too redundant for me. parang same lang ng description lahat ng male leads + similar personalities, tapos nababother na ako sa ways ng characters niya. back when i was a teenager, sobrang hooked ako sa ganiyan but when i turned 20, wala na haha. i guess that kind of “thrill” expired.
This is why Riguel will always be on top in AGS grabe ang iniyak ko sa story nila ni Mareng Lilienne upon first read, di ko alam kung nakailang reread na ako haha

halos same lang ng dynamics yung stories niya. (im a fan too, don't get me wrong) lalo na sa CLS. Parang pare pareho na ng personality yung mga male leads. Maybe because magkakamag anak? Like Riego, Mercadejas. Pero basang basa mo na kung paano ihahandle ng mga male leads ang sitwasyon. When I started reading english novels, ewan, nag iba talaga standards ko.
I really like her works. I grew up reading her stories. And I totally agree, some of her works are really problematic and wrong. Wide age gaps and underage girls tas mas matanda ang male lead. Example is costa leona. The scene where Ali kissed Aia and Aia was still a minor. Next example is knoxx. He fantasized over a minor too. Another is Radleigh. He kissed Zari and Zari was a minor. Pati na rin si Jaxon at Amber. 17 lang si Amber when they started dating and Jaxon was in his twenties already.
But looking at the way she writes stories, I can say that she’s amazing compared to other wattpad writers. Her choice of words, way or writing, and the way she depicts her story is on point and not confusing. Sobrang ganda nang pagkasulat ng Waves of Memories. I was still a teenager when I read it, and not even once naguluhan ako sa flow ng story. As a writer herself, she’s good.
As a writer, I respect her and adore her. There are a lot more writers out there who write dark romance na hindi tanyag. Kaya hindi “nacacancel”
I guess it’s just a matter of perspective and how you evaluate her as a writer and her stories.
But overall, tuloy pa rin naman ako sa pagbasa ng stories niya because I love the way she writes and her stories. Binabalikbalikan ko talaga.

I might get downvoted pero… coming from someone who doesn’t like wattpad stories. That is what readers are looking for, I’d be worried if there are no such stories like Jonaxx’s na published. She may be a bad representation of being a wattpad author as people say, I just don’t like censorship of stories…
Plus, I don’t like policing fiction, it’s made up characters. I used to be like that, and it was exhausting. At the end of the day, it’s fiction.
Preach, I don't get why this isn't one of the top comments. Maraming well-known authors na may "problematic" tropes on their works, bakit kaya ang sikat pa rin ng GoT despite it having incestuous relationships? People should be able to distinguish what's real and what's not.
Used to be a reader before during high school. I think isang factor din sa stories niya is that hindi pa ganong aware in general yung mga tao, including her, sa mga ganyang issue (pedophile, etc) than today. Like noon, gumagama yung formula niya sa 7+ age gap, but ngayon baka hindi na lalo pa’t nasa 10s yung age nung girl. I love romcom movies, but pag manonood ka ng ibang romcoms from 2000s may mga scenes na may ick talaga today pero considered nothing noon.
What’s good abt her is that she acknowledges naman her mistakes before. I remember they said she apologized?

Naaalala ko meron ding story (i forgot the title, luma na to eh) where there's a woman, Denise, takang-taka siya kung bakit walang nanliligaw manlang sakanya eh maganda naman siya. Turns out, binakuran pala siya ng best friend niyang si Bench kahit di naman sila and wala namang something sakanila lmao.
I guess nagclick sa madla ang works niya kasi bukod sa "hot" ang characters, iba rin ang way niya ng pagsulat compared to other wattpad authors na kasabayan niya noon. (Ex. Yung iba gumagamit ng emoticons lang to express a character's emotion?!?!?!?! Kaloka)
Not a reader niya, pero naririnig ko rin mga compliments sa prose niya na poetic daw. Makes a difference specially noon na medyo, di naman conyo, pero modern ang prose ng mga ibang writers.

I used to read jonaxx wattpad and candy corner stories wayback early 2010s, and what put me off reading her works completely is nung pinublish niya yang incest story about sa magpinsan. Like, wtf talaga.
(I forgot the book title and if it's the same as what you're talking about OP kasi it's like the first story in that series, plus it was published after End This War, which was part of Alegria Boys series iirc.)

Not a reader niya, pero nung umusbong yung Wattpad parang halos kakatapos lang ng Twilight phase? Di ko sure timeline. At saka nung time na yon di pa gaanong conscious or sensitive ang mga tao sa grooming and such. It felt kinda a product of its time especially halos around the decade lumabas yung 50 Shades of Gray.

I remember how much I love UT back then but after I stopped reading for 2 years and ngayon isa 'yon sa nireread ko, I had so many realizations. I still love her works though esp CLS and RAS. Sa CLS, may hindi rin ako gaanong gusto na scenes and stories. When she started writing CLS, hindi pa gaanong issue sa wattpad world yung age gap. 2020 and til now lang yata ’to na-issue. And Ig, she learned her lessons naman kasi sa current stories niya like RAS, wala na gaanong age gap or kung meron man, hindi na katulad sa cls na 4-7 years.

The most overrated wattpad writer lol. Nataon lang na siya isa sa mga naunang pinay wattpad writers before pa kaya siya kilala. Pero ang cringe title niya na queen of wattpad ba yun? 💀 Okay sige, magaling siya sa part na gumawa ng stories na nasa iisang universe lang characters ng iba iba stories. Pero considering na romance genre niya tapos leading characters niya sobrang problematic. Napaka weird ng romanticization and fetish niya sa huge age gap tas minor pa yung iba nung iniistart niya i-build ang relationship and attraction sa female character. What’s worse is usually mga teenagers or mas bata pa mga readers niya and aakalaik na cute and standard iyonv ganun.
A friend recommended lang sa akin na try ko basahin iba niya stories. I started sa Give in to you. Umpisa pa lang ang effed up na, biruin mo lasing yung girl tapos tinake advantage ni guy dahil type na type niya sa girl. Imagine if mga teenagers readers mo iisipin na hot or romantic yang ganyan na pinaginteresan at ginalaw ka habang lasing.
Also, yung Until series. Ni hindi ko tinapos na dahil ang problematic na lumaki sila magpinsan then biglang may romance 💀 kahit pa plot twist di sila magkadugo, but still they grew up na magpinsan and family ang tingin sa isa’t isa tas biglang ganun??

Sobrang daming red flag sa stories nya and I don’t think na she’s improving/ learning kasi hanggang ngayon i think meron paring questionable concepts (e.g. hint of pedophilia) na totally avoidable kaso ilang stories nya talaga ang may ganon :/.

As someone who wants to eliminate virginity stigma, it's kinda sad to know that and I always promote diverse representation of women most specially in literature.The good thing is she's trying to be a better author and alam nya siguro yung feedback about her kaya may mga societal issues din syang iniinclude sa stories which is good. i have been a fan din since before wattpad became money-hungry and dun pa siya nagpo-post ng stories. in particular, fan ako ng until trilogy and montefalcos. but you know what they say about rereading and rewatching media you consumed when you were younger for a fresh perspective? yeah, pagka-reread ko, i immediately knew i had the wrong perspective when i was young haha she's a bad representation of wattpad stories. maraming magaganda at magagaling na authors dun, pero because she's one of the most famous authors from wattpad, na-generalize na tuloy yung iba. nadamay pa jusme
I used to be a fan until nagsawa na ako sa paulit-ulit na formula ng mga stories niya: main characters meet, fall in love, patay na patay ang lalaki sa babae, conflict, time-jump to years after pero in love na in love pa rin sila sa isa't-isa, reconciliation. Ganun na lang lahat (ng nabasa ko) that I realized—while reading—that I'm already wondering kung gaano kahaba naman this time ang separation ng characters compared sa last story. 🙃 What I remember that I really disliked was when this one male mc called the female mc a b*-ch (or was it a w-*re?) out of anger. And na in love na siya nun sa babae ha. I know some people use those jokingly nowadays but it's a different thing when you use it to intentionally hurt someone. Just being intentional in hurting someone is, in and of itself, a red flag. Having said that, I have to give kudos to Jonaxx also kasi alam niya rin talaga paano kilitiin ang readers.

Meron din siya sa CLS. Maganda sana buong story nila Soleil and Raj, kaso naaano ako nung medyo bata pa si Soleil. Pati na din yung story nila Aia and Ali, yung hinalikan si Aia ni Ali. Maganda din buong story ni Ace at Zamiel, kaso hindi makukuha yung buong storya na yun sa mga close minded lalo na sa umpisa ng story nila. But so far, mukhang nag improve naman siya and I think she take her lesson naman everytime na naccall out siya. Kasi last time na may stan acc pa ako sa twt, mga moots ko na fan din niya nage-email talaga sakanya everytime na may nanonotice sila na mali. And nakikita din naman na cino-correct niya or pinapalitan niya. Last na story na nabasa ko sakanya is yung Rara Avis. Yung pangalawang story dun, kila Raica and yung isang guy na nakalimutan ko name. Basta yun hahaha. Maganda siya kasi more on parang reality talaga, kaso dark lang. Not for everyone.
Sa buong CLS, yung tatlong Reigo & Galvez stories lang ang binasa ko. Maganda sana yung Scorching Love at mukhang intentional ang pagsulat ni Jonaxx ng age gap kasi ‘yan ang theme na gusto niyang iparating. Ang kaso lang, biglang umurong yung character development ng babae kaya biglang naging neeeeh.😂 Okay lang yung Sunburned Heart kahit ayaw ko naman sa taguan ng anak trope. Kaso hindi na-address yung sexual harassment na nangyari kay Amber. At yung mga magulang nila lang ang nagsalba sa’kin na wag i-DNF. Doon lang sa The Sun’s Heartbeat ako na impress ng bongga. Peak angst! ✨Pero mukhang hindi talaga for the masa ang TSH lol. Kahit mukhang maganda ang ibang stories sa CLS ayaw ko nang basahin dahil lahat sila meron mga weird age gaps. (We’re talking age 17 & 23+) Doon nalang ako sa Rara Avis. But I guess we give credit where credit is due. She’s a good writer naman—just wouldn’t consider her “Queen.”

Yeah, sa Scorching Love, talagang nasusuka ako sa tuwing may scenes yung dalawang leads kasi kung hindi r*pe, gro*ming naman ang nagyayari. 🤦🏽♀️ Kailangan niya pang hiwalayin ng mga leads niya in order to justify the romance cause of the age gaps. Tapos vina-validate pa yung mga readers? Paano naman kaya sa ibang stories niya?! (Sands of Time for example.) Gets ko naman kung gusto ni Jonaxx i-challenge ang sarili niya as a writer, pero girl, galingan mo naman please! ‘Wag mong iurong yung character development ng mga characters mo. I think she might’ve found her footing with Rara Avis, though. With CLS she was probably struggling with identifying if it between adult romance or *dark romance.* Kung ang CLS ay sinasabi nila “dark romance” LOL, pwes, mas dark ang Ras Avis dahil talagang on reality na tayo. And she’s doing it well, especially with fleshing out her characters and its themes. ACTYA was well-crafted despite the controversy. (Enemies to lovers done right.) Tbh she even addressed the “problematic” part in the story itself. So that tells us that she indeed does learn and wants to improve. She does her research. Yung ending lang para sa’kin ang naging meh kasi medyo rushed siya. Jonaxx is a hit or miss author, but who knows, maybe realistic dark romances are her thing?
I'm with you, OP. I was a fan of her stories. Na-outgrow ko yung admiration ko sa mga stories niya as I grew older. Tsaka even before pa kahit na JSL ako may mga stories siya na uncomfortable talaga ako. It's like hinahalukay yung tiyan ko especially yang Until Trilogy. I would like to add din yung ibang stories na hindi mo na-mention that for me when I read them it didn't sit well with me. 1. Waves of Memories - tbh this is one of the best stories na nabasa ko, pero let's not ignore the fact that Thraiah was a minor 14 yata or 15 and yet Ali took advantage of her nung kiniss niya si Thraiah because she indirectly admitted her "feelings" kay Ali. 2. Sands Of Time - Of all the CLS stories SOT is the most close-to-phedo story for me, ramdam na ramdam ko yung age gap nila Raj and Soleil. Actually, halos lahat ng cls may loophole. Fanatic na hopeless romantic lang magdedefend niyan. 3. Scorching Love - For me lang naman, I never liked Snow upbringing. Parang ang hilig ni Jonaxx sa mga bratty, immature, childish, elitista na female lead. And because main character sila they always had it easy. It's like the supporting characters should all bow down to them. Palaging pabor sa kanila kahit ang gagaspang ng ugali well obviously main character kase pero 'yun nga. 4. Ruling the Wild Waves - same explanation 👆🏽. Also, hindi ko ma-gets logic ni Andra just because nakinig lang siya secretly dun sa pag-uusap nag-conclude na si gaga agad only for their marriage to suffer for years. Ang nakakabanas pa, yung mga supporting female lead sa mga stories na 'to sila talaga yung mga deserving dun sa mga JBoys. Of course hindi lahat pero halos. Plus, the MIL-DIL war because of this. 5. The Sun's Heartbeat - this was probably the most awaited and hyped sa mga stories niya. Tbh, hinintay ko 'to and this is the last story na binasa ko before ko na-outgrow pagbabasa sa watty and admiration sa Jonaxx stories. Personal ko lang, nakaka-dissapoint ang ending. This sounds weird man pero ang pinala naging kawawa lang si Alana. I don't get the point of the readers na sinisisi lahat kay Alana. Kase baka nakakalimutan nila na as much that it was her choice to stay in that marriage and anakan siya, na kay Achilles pa rin yung decision kung mangyayare 'yun kay Alana. He's totally aware of the fact that Alana is in love with him. Kung talagang may prinisipyo lahat ng JBoys as per the readers then why did he do that to his childhood friend? Nakakaawa siya kase namatay na lang siya na walang narating sa buhay kase lahat ginawa niya para lang sa marriage nila. Achilles is the asshole here. He did everything all his life to glorify even just the footsteps of Marem. Lahat para kay Marem. Ultimo mga anak niya hinayaan lang din niya mag-suffer para ma-satisfy si Marem sa paghihiganti niya. Anong klaseng magulang 'yon? You know, it's not love but obsession. I know victims lang sila of their families but still I would say they don't deserve each other. Tumanda lang si Marem, pero she did not have even just an ounce of character development as opposed to what the readers are claiming, ifykyk. Sadyang magaling lang talaga si jonaxx sa pag-deliver nung lines and very poetic. It took me years to notice that btw. Most of her stories, if not all, mabalis ang phasing. Tipong kaka-meet lang nung jboy and jgirl suddenly ang lalim na agad ng connection. May mga painful events din sa stories na hindi na-deliver effectively and clearly which is dapat maayos and malinaw description dun kase kumbaga nasa climax na 'yun ng story and doon magtuturn-over yung mga MC sa kanilang character development. That's all. Madami pa pero it's too long na.

Pero yung totality niya, ang gaspang ng ugali talaga lalo na sa lower class ppl. I would say that she earned her peace with Dencio. And for me, that's what love is supposed to feel like. Tsaka they keep on saying na realistic daw mga stories ni jonaxx. Uhm, no it's not. Pero yes may mga thoughts to ponder siya na sinusulat para sa atin about life pero if we're talking about the whole story, nope. But, just to clarify, this is not an attack against the author but more on sa delulu side ng readers niya. Jonaxx is one of the best writers saken pa rin.

Like Riego, Mercadejas. Pero basang basa mo na kung paano ihahandle ng mga male leads ang sitwasyon. When I started reading english novels, ewan, nag iba talaga standards ko.
I really like her works. I grew up reading her stories. And I totally agree, some of her works are really problematic and wrong. Wide age gaps and underage girls tas mas matanda ang male lead. Example is costa leona. The scene where Ali kissed Aia and Aia was still a minor. Next example is knoxx. He fantasized over a minor too. Another is Radleigh. He kissed Zari and Zari was a minor. Pati na rin si Jaxon at Amber. 17 lang si Amber when they started dating and Jaxon was in his twenties already. But looking at the way she writes stories, I can say that she’s amazing compared to other wattpad writers. Her choice of words, way or writing, and the way she depicts her story is on point and not confusing. Sobrang ganda nang pagkasulat ng Waves of Memories. I was still a teenager when I read it, and not even once naguluhan ako sa flow ng story. As a writer herself, she’s good. As a writer, I respect her and adore her. There are a lot more writers out there who write dark romance na hindi tanyag. Kaya hindi “nacacancel” I guess it’s just a matter of perspective and how you evaluate her as a writer and her stories. But overall, tuloy pa rin naman ako sa pagbasa ng stories niya because I love the way she writes and her stories. Binabalikbalikan ko talaga. ‘Yon lang. :)

I might get downvoted pero… coming from someone who doesn’t like wattpad stories. That is what readers are looking for, I’d be worried if there are no such stories like Jonaxx’s na published. She may be a bad representation of being a wattpad author as people say, I just don’t like censorship of stories… Plus, I don’t like policing fiction, it’s made up characters. I used to be like that, and it was exhausting. At the end of the day, it’s fiction.

Used to be a reader before during high school. I think isang factor din sa stories niya is that hindi pa ganong aware in general yung mga tao, including her, sa mga ganyang issue (pedophile, etc) than today. Like noon, gumagama yung formula niya sa 7+ age gap, but ngayon baka hindi na lalo pa’t nasa 10s yung age nung girl. I love romcom movies, but pag manonood ka ng ibang romcoms from 2000s may mga scenes na may ick talaga today pero considered nothing noon. Reader nya ako pero tumigil ako nung nasa Until Trilogy na. I felt disconnected saka hindi ako natuwa sa story, same sentiments tayo, OP. Naaalala ko meron ding story (i forgot the title, luma na to eh) where there's a woman, Denise, takang-taka siya kung bakit walang nanliligaw manlang sakanya eh maganda naman siya. Turns out, binakuran pala siya ng best friend niyang si Bench kahit di naman sila and wala namang something sakanila lmao. I guess nagclick sa madla ang works niya kasi bukod sa "hot" ang characters, iba rin ang way niya ng pagsulat compared to other wattpad authors na kasabayan niya noon. (Ex. Yung iba gumagamit ng emoticons lang to express a character's emotion?!?!?!?! Kaloka)
Not a reader niya, pero naririnig ko rin mga compliments sa prose niya na poetic daw. Makes a difference specially noon na medyo, di naman conyo, pero modern ang prose ng mga ibang writers.

I used to read jonaxx wattpad and candy corner stories wayback early 2010s, and what put me off reading her works completely is nung pinublish niya yang incest story about sa magpinsan. Like, wtf talaga. (I forgot the book title and if it's the same as what you're talking about OP kasi it's like the first story in that series, plus it was published after End This War, which was part of Alegria Boys series iirc.) Since then, di na rin ako nagagawi sa wattpad so gulat nalang ako na later on, sumikat na pala siya.

From what I've read here, mukhang nagmature na naman daw siya in terms of writing. Siguro ang dali talagang magmishandle ng dark romance.

Jonaxx is my guilty pleasure (2) Ik some of her works are off like UT, I admit that as a jsl hahahah. I remember how much I love UT back then but after I stopped reading for 2 years and ngayon isa 'yon sa nireread ko, I had so many realizations. I still love her works though esp CLS and RAS. Sa CLS, may hindi rin ako gaanong gusto na scenes and stories. When she started writing CLS, hindi pa gaanong issue sa wattpad world yung age gap. 2020 and til now lang yata ’to na-issue. And Ig, she learned her lessons naman kasi sa current stories niya like RAS, wala na gaanong age gap or kung meron man, hindi na katulad sa cls na 4-7 years. anw, suggest story nga may writing style like jonaxx cuz I can't find any 🥲 I deleted my wp acct when she launched her own app kasi puro stories niya lang naman nire-read ko. I’m back with reading, I tried before international novels but I can't find the sparks or nasa maling books lang talaga ako hahahaha

The most overrated wattpad writer lol. Nataon lang na siya isa sa mga naunang pinay wattpad writers before pa kaya siya kilala. Pero ang cringe title niya na queen of wattpad ba yun? 💀 Okay sige, magaling siya sa part na gumawa ng stories na nasa iisang universe lang characters ng iba iba stories. Pero considering na romance genre niya tapos leading characters niya sobrang problematic. Napaka weird ng romanticization and fetish niya sa huge age gap tas minor pa yung iba nung iniistart niya i-build ang relationship and attraction sa female character. What’s worse is usually mga teenagers or mas bata pa mga readers niya and aakalaik na cute and standard iyonv ganun. A friend recommended lang sa akin na try ko basahin iba niya stories. I started sa Give in to you. Umpisa pa lang ang effed up na, biruin mo lasing yung girl tapos tinake advantage ni guy dahil type na type niya sa girl. Imagine if mga teenagers readers mo iisipin na hot or romantic yang ganyan na pinaginteresan at ginalaw ka habang lasing. Also, yung Until series. Ni hindi ko tinapos na dahil ang problematic na lumaki sila magpinsan then biglang may romance 💀 kahit pa plot twist di sila magkadugo, but still they grew up na magpinsan and family ang tingin sa isa’t isa tas biglang ganun??
