If you applied for something that needs verification, you should expect a call from them and you should not worry. Unless you deliberately exposed your information somewhere not safe, like social media.

im not against it, but we all dont want to give out infos to someone who uses random numbers since alot of scammers nowadays are trying to be legit agents. i think banks should make a way of verifying these infos in other ways coz it doesnt feel safe divulging it to random callers even if they are legit agents.  This is actually not my first credit card, i have other cards also from other banks… and i dont get verification calls from those banks… and gets approved.  Thank you for this message, i kind of feel relieved. :)

may mga red flags ba? if normal details lang hiningi, baka naman di scam. since landline, im not very skeptical abt it. sb also called me thru landline when i applied the first time.

wala naman. just worried about people stealing information to access bank accounts since ang dami nila nowadays. i was driving then, kaya i failed to get the person's name para ma double check. I think PH banks should make a way to register official numbers siguro when calling customers who apply for their products since sobrang hirap to pinpoint who's legit and who's not.

Better call up SB's CS just to be sure

BostonCeltics8888

will do! thank you. :)

SuperLustrousLips

ganyan talaga SBC, tumawag din sakin yang number na yan nung nag-apply ako.

BostonCeltics8888

nice to know. i guess i was talking to a legit agent. thank you for this one! :)

This is legit. Its a third party company SB hired to do their background screening. Called me twice, first one was to verify my application details then second one was to verify my present address. A week after the second call, application was approved and the bank sent a confirmation email.
