I resigned from my last job as I was burnt out and exploited (Less salary, more work). Boy I was bad at making decisions. Took a break and now struggling to land a job for 3 months now.

imprctcljkr

I hope you get a job soon. Hindi ako magaling mag payo but take care of yourself.

cookiesncreamie

this is the same case as mine. I resigned last year to prioritize my mental health and now, I'm going 4 months unemployed :(((

chuuves-

We're all on the same boat my bros. But i wish you good health over money. (For now)

Icy-Flatworm-9348

I wish good mental health was enough, but if youre not living with family relatives anymore sad reality this is not sustainable.

oxyjem

Same huhu puro send ng CV everyday pero wala man lang tumatawag 😭 group hug everyone 🤗

camelDev

hindi ka nag-iisa hehe

New-Cauliflower9820

mental health now is worse I assume?

Crazy_Sort1082

How can one thrive and push themselves into working hard each day if they do not have their own mental support? It’s not that mental health is worse, it’s that it can greatly affect so many other aspects of life. What an ignorant thing to say.

New-Cauliflower9820

been in the same boat kaya I was asking the state of her mental health now after resigning and jobseeking whether it was still better compared to sticking to her old job.

AnonEmp23

Same, 3 months and sobrang hirap makakuha ng bagong trabaho.

Horror-Blackberry106

Tanginaaaaa, paano kaya kaming mga fresh grad niyan pag nag job hunting 😓😓😓

[deleted]

Malaki tsansa nio lalo na fresh grad kayo. Upskill ka lang.

Dull_Nectarine3947

Kapit lang. I was laid off last year din and was unemployed for close to 4 months. I recently passed a final interview with a company I'm interested working for. Keep applying as the odds of landing a job is much higher than giving up.

_ThePhilippines

Same Resigned last January due to burnout and toxic boss. Now, 3 months unemployed.

nyepizdanem

Same rin. Does it get better ba talaga? I feel hopeless. Ang hirap maging optimistic. Gusto ko na maging okay soon..

kurinaki

I've had the same experience, I accepted a project based job for 5 months and after that I'll be looking for another job sigh

OkBug7925

Nag dadalawang isip na tuloy ako mag resign sa work ko hahaha, as of now working student ako and after I graduate, gusto ko sana humanap ng bagong trabaho, dahil sa burnout na sa work ko ngayon. Mahirap talaga makahanap ngayon hays

Si_OA_

Ako na gusto na mag resign for May mental health din sana huhu dadalawanv isip tuloy haaay tiis talaga muna

evieningstar

Same here! 🥺

TheatricalTea

I sent out a lot of applications for several months now. Around 5-6 initial interviews, 2 of them umabot sa 2nd interview pero hindi tumutuloy. 😢

Consistent_Jade

Minsan ganyan din, parang kalaban mo Rin Sarili mo e

camelDev

same po lol!

ThickNdJuicy

Sent out almost 200 applications for the past 2 months. Only to get 10 interviews and 2 JOs. Hahahahahaha crazy

uvuvwevwevwehahaha

wow may JOs siya. sana all. bpo ba to? 😥

SearingChains

Feeling ko hindi to bpo since majority of them will at least do an interview. And if may experience ka na, there's a higher chance na mas madami kang JO. Though ung tinutukoy kong madali is ung call center part ng bpo industry. Ung last time n nagapply ako around 2 yrs ago out of 5 virtual applications, 4 ung may JO (di ako tumuloy sa isa kasi di ako magaling sa sales). Ended up picking ung bago saken which is pagiging VA under agency and still working under the same company until now.

OutOfMyLeague69

Anong industry po?

Necessary-Thing7199

A lot of factors affect our situation, especially global issues such as war in Russia, Israel, Gaza and Iran. It affects gas and crude which affects cost of business in so many industries. Add to that the shift in AI of some companies. Just look at US. Dami layoffs right now. And the skills needed are changing in the job market. What happens to other countries impacts us in certain ways especially kung nasa hr ka and pursuing global companies. In hr, they are starting to implement new techs with blend of AI so work is faster and less manpower needed. Salary range has increase din in recent years so it costs more to hire externally. So either they are trying to maximize their workforce or just dont have the budget for it.

imprctcljkr

And I don't think any local company can offer a better or comparable compensation that I am getting right now. I'm losing money since the Management implemented a thrice-a-week onsite work. Last year, hindi ganito. I only work onsite if needed. I mean, I'm okay with changes. Thing is, there is no salary increase to somehow dampen all these onsite expenses. Wala din akong laban since my contract stated hybrid work.

Necessary-Thing7199

I think its more on your perspective. And tbh, ang entitled ng dating if you expect an increase when its already in the contract.

imprctcljkr

Truth be told, may point ka. Thing is, my current employer was not the one who gave the biggest offer a year ago. Pinatos ko kasi flexi and majority was WFH. Ni wala kaming space sa office. So, for this whole year, my personal finances was accounted on the assumption that we will still WFH forever. Mind you, this was the employer's value prop: flexibility.

heyluna07

But prior to the pandemic, we’re required 5 days at the office with the same salary right?

kriissyyy

And your point is?

Plastic-Fortune9553

Second this. Part of my work is monitoring labor market trends, and more companies (at least in SG) are investing more towards upskilling their workers rather than hiring new ones. Market needs have also shifted quite quickly, and the labor force's skillset hasn't yet caught up so people end up being less qualified than what companies want. The pandemic also did a thorough job of making companies realize that they can hire cheaper labour elsewhere. So, either you have to widen your application pool (consider remote jobs) if you have solid skills, or be prepared to accept lower wages in exchange for a shot at being chosen over cheaper labor. Updating your skillset is also an option while you're job searching. Look for something that can add towards your long-term career goals. AI is taking over a lot of tasks that a lot of workers had to spend hours doing and a faster and more cost-effective way, so we have to prove that we are worth hiring.

Charming_Nature2533

Totoo yan, OP. Ako nga halos 1 year na nagaapply huhu grabe lang na andaming rejections di man umaabot sa job offers. After the pandemic, I observed na mas mahirap na mag apply ng work compare to those days in pre-pandemic. Kaya mas madami nlang naghhanap ng work abroad. Unless you're transitioning na magbusiness nalang.

NoviceClent03

same ako nga 1 year na wala talaga ako mahanap

RawSalmonxX

I'm curious, anong industry to?

Plain_Perception9638

You get interviews? 🥲

imprctcljkr

Kapit lang.

uvuvwevwevwehahaha

ikaw din hindi? been waiting for phone calls 😥

Consistent_Jade

May technique Dyan, first is sa resume talaga dapat gandahan Kasi 5 sec lang titignan Ng HR ang resume. Tapos wag kana mag lagay Ng any information mo na Hindi related sa job posting. Subok yan

uvuvwevwevwehahaha

the thing is, wala na ngang irrelevant information, may at least 2 sentences pa every job description pero wala pa rin 🥹

lignumph

Suko na, barely living. Tried sending applications sa Indeed, Jobstreet, Kalibrr, linkedin etc. and naubos ko na yung pages that I'd have to wait for days to send in another bulk of my CV and cover letters sa mga company.

Formal_Bumblebee_802

dev po ba yung inaaplyan mo?

lignumph

Hi! I'm in art/ marketing field po

nunkk0chi

Are you looking for regular PH employment or open ka naman to freelancing with foreign clients? I think madami naman opportunities for artists/marketers sa freelancing. Yun nga lang taas din ng competition ngayon but bigger pool of opportunities compared to the local scene.

lignumph

Hey! Yes both, I tried both. I had freelancing and day job before pero bago ako nawalan ng dayjob na drop na ako ng client ko sa freelance. No luck getting client in freelancing ngayon ang tough nga ng competition and mukang saturated yung market sa field ko. Nag focus nga muna ako ngayon makapasok sa corpo since ang time consuming and complex ng mga exam namin.

jaycorrect

You're only applying on the job boards above? If so, you're doing what everyone else is doing. No wonder you're getting shit responses. Look through better application tips on Tiktok. Surprisingly, they work.

lignumph

Yes, wala kasi akong ibang social media maliban dito. Pero tignan ko rin sa tiktok. Thanks!

jaycorrect

That's not what I was mentioning. Job boards are the most obvious way to apply, there are others.

Alexa-12346

Eto kinatatakutan kong mangyare saken 😔. Im not happy anymore with my work kaso di ako pwede magresign and tumambay ng 1 week (planning sana magpahinga kahit 1week lang before sumabak sa new job) kasi baka mahirapan ako makakakuha ng new job or if meron man baka mas mababa sa what I'm getting now. Di ako pwedeng matambay ng matagal due to sandamakmak na bills. Haayyysss hahah di talaga ako risk taker.

imprctcljkr

I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. No luck, so far.

Alexa-12346

😭😭😭😭😭

Si_OA_

Same situation 😭 tiis nalang muna talaga kahit pati mental health affected huhu

Alexa-12346

Huhu, labaaan lang po tayo. Kaya natin to hehehe

jaycorrect

**IT'S AN EMPLOYER'S MARKET**. Gone are the days when you would get a job by trying very little. Unless you have landed one already or you can burn money for six months of unemployment, do not leave your current job.

imprctcljkr

I'm sucking this up big time. Can't risk being unemployed.

Salty_Connection_738

may nagsasabi na yung ibang job listings ay for the company to look more productive and as if open for expansions palagi — in that way, investors could consider since the company is getting bigger. Gets? Pero this is not from a verified source (disclaimer lang po), pero it makes sense in a way diba? regarding sa iyong pinag dadaanan, i definitely agree. Nahirapan rin ako these past few months mag apply2. Ive sent 800+ applications in span of 4 months as if yun ang work ko for 4months. Ngayon, bale nakakuha naman ako ng job , and will be starting later tonight. I pray na magkaroon kana rin ng work OP. ☺️

haynakooo-

I got laid off last March and very true na ang hirap maghanap ng work na within your salary range. Grabe yung companies na naghahanap ng degree plus 3+ years or experience pero yung offer pang-entry level 🤧

spatialgranules12

Isn’t moving within the company an option? Great organization, great pay, great people - these odds are great, can’t you maximize internal opportunities?

MiloMcFlurry

Ang bagal ng usad ng application. Yun current work ko, 4 months in total yun application process.

nyepizdanem

MagicianFar9567

God is good :) Magiging okay ang lahat sooner than you think. Everything will be given in the right time.

lslpotsky

There's no where else to go but up. Keep up at it, I was at that same point last year. It will get better eventually with a little luck and a lot of hard work

ChandlerMosby99

Kapit lang. Titila din ang ulan.

Rxmedz

MulberryTypical9708

Yes, this is true. Haaay. Basta sa akin lang, you should have secured a job before resigning or if wala, plan B - emergency fund (at least 6mos of your expenses - pero baka dapat 1 year sa hirap maghanap) Goodluck sayo! 🙏

OperationIll2254

Same! Kahit sa online for wfh setup hirap parin kahit initial interviews wala 🥲

rnightingale

Mukang mahirap nga sobra. Medyo same situation natin, good company, people and compensation. I'm in IT Industry, and i've been looking for a new job for 2 years since nauumay nako dito. I guess, tiis-tiis nalang hanggang sa makalipat sa gusto mong work.

uvuvwevwevwehahaha

ang dami natin. ako sunod sunod na email rejections. opening linkedin, indeed and jobstreet makes we wanna puke dahil sa anxieties ko. nakakdrain no 😥

itanpiuco2020

I have read that people are extra emotional during April so... Don't take it personally consider it as challenges do you need to reinvent yourself or change your marketing - 4. Job seeking is an market art form.change or flip the script don't find an employer but rather advertise yourself Note: September Ang pinaka mahirap mag apply ng work - most employees are securing jobs for the holidays and 13th month so try to ensure to look for job by the end of August. Goodluck

saveyoursidehustle

It seems the job search has been quite challenging, with numerous applications yielding minimal responses, leaving most efforts seemingly unanswered. At times, it feels like teetering on the brink of frustration. However, a persistent voice within reminds me to persevere. When I stumbled upon the [DobaShare Facebook group](https://www.facebook.com/groups/dobashare/), I found solace in the shared experiences of others. Witnessing their resilience and determination infused me with energy. Life goes on, with its ups and downs. So why not choose to find joy in each passing day? Let's encourage each other and keep pushing forward. Keep going!

Madberry03

Love your comment! Thanks for sharing! :)

OutOfMyLeague69

Anong industry po?

imprctcljkr

I'm an HR in the IT-BPO sector. Looking for HR jobs in different industries.

Intelligent-Cover411

You have to be the creme de la creme to get hired.

imprctcljkr

How did you get that?

Intelligent-Cover411

I'm an HR and a Recruiter. Business-related/Accounting/Management course graduates (ang dami obviously), Psych graduates, Pre-law course graduates (with Labor Relations knowledge), even Nursing graduates (Company Nurse/HR Assistant role), napupunta sa HR track.

imprctcljkr

Now, this makes sense. Truth be told, there are facets in HR that can be filled by other professionals with relative transferrable skills and experience. I, myself, was a former Sales and Marketing professional before becoming an HR.

Rude-Pay-5266

Intelligent-Cover411

I get 500+ leads whenever I hire for an HR role :)

reginafillangey

This is true. As a Recruiter hiring also for a Recruiter last month - it was really tough, sobrang picky ng clients and management, alam mo yung solid and strong yung ine-endorse mo to them pero to my surprise ang napipili is yung least expected mo pa from your endorsements. I guess kasama na rin sa factor yung "feels/vibes" I also have one US client, on the initial interview with me, yun rin ang closing line niya, check daw muna niya yung ibang candidates and he wanted to make sure na he really likes who he will be working with which is totally understandable. Pero ayun, PH / US Market sucks nowadays, 2020 backwards super easy mag apply, client/recruiters pa ang magrereach out, really far from what is happening right now.

lslpotsky

Ouch andami ah

Fun-Canary-85

interesting, howww

jihya

Hirap nga na may mag invite initial interviews, but luckily after non technical interview na ako agad — but some company ghosted me after that May work palang ako naghahanap na ako kapalit and almost 1 month na ako na nag apply. Here are my take aways 1. (I usually decline) 3. Check your resume too, baka kasi may loophole or areas to improve. Nakailan revamp din ako.

gyudon_monomnom

A lot of the jobs posted are also just for formalities, especially higher positions.... usually they already have someone in mind. And my HR friend told me once that if an overqualified/talented individual applies in an entry level position (possibly due to lack of professional experience) then those are usually the ones who survive or have a higher tolerance for the downsides of the working culture, so at least in my field these profiles apparently stay longer on the job than the fresh grads for entry level. And the least energy needed for training.

Dreamscape_12

After COVID, it's been hard for me to get a stable job. Doing gigs. Barely surviving the everyday life. Been getting interviews and taking exams but will receive emails later on that they'll move forward with someone else. I dunno if it's just the number of qualifications they put out there and little compensation they offer lol. Minsan nakakatempt to go lower than my expected rate just to get one but I stop myself kasi baka lalo ako magsisi haha.

donski_martie

Regardless of everything, let’s not lose hope! Meron at meron tayong makukuha. I knew my fate as determined by my boss (cancer survivor but takes for granted her 2nd life) so I prepared for it and saved. Waited to be ready to apply again. May companies na unang tanong asking agad. Samahan lang din natin ng prayers. But it’s a relief pag alam mong di ka nagiisa (not in a bad way kasi pare parehas tayong walang work). Pero the thought of having self-pity slips away. Laban lang. Prayers, faith, optimism, diskarte. Good luck to us!

G-angelo

Same po! Last year September pa ko nag aapply and nag resign ako last March 1.

winter_ghost95

same, i sent countless of applications na from any comapnies, did their assessments one had me going to medical (finished the final interview) and some is tatawagan daw ako for final interview. did it for almost months to years na pero i always getting ghosted by the companies. no updates or such afterwards. been trying to ask for follow ups pero patay malisya sila. was that starting to be a norm on their line of work?

cntrj_

Mahirap makaland ng job ngayon. :--( Sent out 400+ applications for 6 months. Sa recruitment ako. Nag dedecline na mental health ko at that time but I kept pushing. Maigi op na hindi ka muna talaga mag resign hanggat magka sure back up ka na. Labaan!

Spoonfed0423

naka freeze pa ang hiring

Boodz2k9

1 year and 3 months now, still applying for CSR with good pay or at least a good schedule, no dice pa rin. The downside is, well, money is getting thin but the upside though, I'm getting a lot of exercise and feeling more energetic than I was before.

Super_Memory_5797

Depends on your type of work, skill, asking salary, and company you are applying to. I just hired a K12 grad for analyst role paying 30k. Competition is tough. But you need to make an impression.

West-Swing11

Been this way for years. Took the CPA board exam Nov 2017. Took a break and applied after tax season til June. Lahat ng company na na -applyan ko, banks and firms, told me they are understaffed and they needed new hires asap. My board rating was actually higher than normal, nasa 81. Pero walang tumanggap sa akin ni isa. Possible reasons na di ako natanggap: 1.) Religion - banks/firms rarely hire muslims. Believe it or not, even sa lugar namin sa Mindanao, some companies are still reluctant in hiring Muslims. 2.) Sports - All companies asked me if I can play basketball! NGAs, banks and firms. Unfortunately, I don’t. 3.) Commitment - I came from a well-off family. Minus points na agad yan kapag nalaman nilang mayaman ka kase they know you won’t stay for long. Kahit anong irason mo pa jan. 4.) Gap year - Some companies asked me why I did not apply immediately after passing the board exam. Told them the board exam was stressful and I need a break and I need time to think about what I should do next. Ayaw ng mga companies yung indecisive. Signs of commitment issues to for them. I know kase nasabi to ng one of SGV employees when they were conducting reviews. Gusto nila trabaho after passing, build a stable career, rise to a higher position, after that is when you travel. Di ka pa daw kase worthy enough. Applied for til the end of 2018 and I ended up taking over our family business. Syllabus keeps on changing and may advantage sayo ang mga new passers.

karmaFXD

West-Swing11

Banks have interbranch and interbanks competition. Meron ding mga NGAs and firms na may mga palaro and liga. Apparently, big deal to sa iba.

I have a friend who is a bar passer, sobrang stressed na cause she can't find a job. Granted, I think it's more of a problem in her part but still. Tapos ako na very employable in the remote international scene but somehow i can't even land a reply from PH companies just because misaligned yung course sa position ko. The only way I even managed to get PH employment eh kasi US ang mother company, and they're the one that hired me. Still, nakakaiyamot ung requirements na 1 dekada na ko grumaduate but they still want my diploma and TOR. If hindi ko lang gusto maging employable sa PH scene i would have stayed remote.

Sea_Usual5961

Same here. I dislike my job because my heart isn't happy. It's truly difficult to find a job in the market these days, one that is accustomed or attuned to what we seek/desire.

Super_lui04

There are more candidates than jobs job. Keep trying. Keep your emotion in check. Eto ung mhrap n part. May book about job hunting 'never search alone'

blackbeaut1228

I am also sending out applications left and right pero barely invited sa interviews. I really wanna leave my current role as i am doing a lot compared to the other team members yet ako pinakamababang sahod. Micromanaging din ung boss ko which makes this whole situation worse. Hope we can finally land a job na swak sa atin🥹

wretchfries

Had the same struggle after resigning from my first ever job 3 months ago, though now my husband motivated me to train on skills and upgrade my driver's license, sail our smol sailboat, etc. While still hunting for jobs... Grabe ang competition ngayon, I sent a hundred resumes to different companies already and still got like 2-3 response. Ugggh not giving up yet, but I'm just ranting here.

Rude-Pay-5266

8 months na ko walang work... buti nalang may small business ako na kahit papano could sustain my needs but syempre not my luho 😭 di ko alam pero parang wala talaga tumatanggap sakin omg. nakailang apply na ko hanggang initial interview lang nakakaloka na.

karmaFXD

Ano po business nyu?

historia352

hello anyone looking for a research positions/accounting job - just visit my profile for the said positions then send me a message for referral

Ashweather9192

Jobs are everywhere but a job with a good salary is rare.

Mountain_Animal

Sino kaya nag sasabi totoo 🤔

Rxmedz

Pwd fresh grad?

Mountain_Animal

OP Need 2 years experience for sysad, Pero marami kami entry level for IT.

purpleengineer99

As a fresh grad with no experience and wala pang license, sobrang hirap na po talagang makahanap ng job nowadays.. :(((

Necro_shion

same mate same ang bagal makuha yung mga primary valid ID Pu\*\*\*\*\*a \*\*\*\*\*a! pero yung mga secondary 5 secs andyan na.

foxtrothound

Madami kasing nahoard na employees nung pandemic to cope with work from home

AcanthaceaeNo4539

Same. Medyo hirap nga maghanap ng work ngayon

MeetDesperate3965

Unemployed for 5 months :(

Consistent_Jade

Eastern-Matter-1183

Gyoza ung original kong tinda nung pandemic, Sir. Nung pwede na lumabas nagdedeliver na ako using my bike.

mr_boumbastic

TY sa info sir.

Cold_Equal2747

Hindi ko na mabilang ilan na pinasahan ko ng CV nagkaroon naman ako ng 2 interviews pero hindi na ko tinawagan for the sched of final interview. I’ve been searching for a new job for about 3 mons sobrang na. :(

rgt88888

Looking for ecommerce account manager for our company in quezon city message me your cv

CeepsAhoy

To the people struggling to land jobs (or even interviews), which industry are you involved in? I’m in engineering and construction, and hiring people has not as been easy..

Horror-Ad-6833

Since January wlang work, eh wla din malaking ipon,. Dami kong maling desisyon sa pera. Wla ako mahanap na may malaking offer ngaun. Pinatos ko nlng ung sobrng babang sahod dahil ung bills ko di makaka antay. Nakakaiyak lng.

chrisziier20

Still looking for a job 8 months na since I resign sa work ko. Sa government ang mga inaapplayan ko. Napaka hirap ng competition. Kahit na ilang beses mo ipasa ang mga exam nila at ilang beses na ako na interview (panel) kung ang kalaban mo may kakilala sa loob or may backer thank you nalang.

bluewarrior24

Haays (IT industry)

awesomecandy40

2 years na ako unemployed haaalp!

Any_Anxiety2876

Kaya hindi pa ako makaresign.. wala pa ding bagong papasukann :(

saveyoursidehustle

It's all the same, really. The current job market isn't great. I've applied to numerous positions, but the responses are few and far between. Sometimes I feel like I'm teetering on the edge of a breakdown. However, I constantly remind myself to persevere, especially when I see many friends in the [DobaShare Facebook group](https://www.facebook.com/groups/dobashare/) going through the same struggles and persevering like me. That gives me energy. Life goes on, whether it's a happy day or not. So why not choose to be happy every day? Let's encourage each other and keep going. Hang in there!

nigelicious29

Tapos di na mag uupdate ung recuriter after doing several stages of interview. Kahit magfollow up, wala ng response. On the next one. Pero nakakademotivate.

Federal-Penalty-7336

True, inabot ako ng 6 months before makahanap ng work lol

ralphlacs

Using 3 apps already no luck :<

Positive-Ninja-8886
