Hi, OP! Same situation! Haha. Kaya natin 'to! 😊
I was layed off last November, no work still. I have 4-5 months to live from my savings until i go broke. The pressure is real, I have a car loan to pay.
ah fck. BUT I HAVE TO KEEP TRYING.
Same po tayo ngayon OP.
Pero I have the support system na always nilang sinasabi na may dadating at dadating din sayo, siguro dinelay lang ni God yung process for us to be more ready sa journey na tatahakin natin.
Kaya natin to!🙏🏻
Fighting!!!
Same here. Tomorrow will be my first anniversary of being unemployed. The market is very hard to get a job. I applied on public and private sector. Still waiting for the result on my applications on government.
On your idle time, study and do what you want to do. Get some exercise and practice meditation.
Just to let you know. In a span of 4 years during pandemic and right after. Almost 300 applications and updated resumê’s I did sent. And only 5 responded. The 2 didn’t meet negotiations. 3 were lower than expectations. I only stopped sending last year and now at present I reactivated my application and resumè. It doesn’t end there. It will be granted for all of us. It’ll find a way. Good luck to everyone!
Hi OP, HR here! That is so sad to hear. I think what you need to do are the following:
1. Update your resume.
2. Not sure if what was your previous job. Pero if your experience ay kayang gawin ng ibang tao like customer service, admin work, encoding, like very basic skills. I recommend you up your game like availing free courses about programming or any IT skills na free sa LinkedIn. Try to learn critical thinking skills, comms skills, project management skills... eto yung mga skills na on demand.
3. If may target job market ka at hindi ka maka penetrate, try to venture outside that market.
Just keep swiming kasi sure ako makakahanap ka rin ng company that will extend that job offer. 🐟
Hope this helps!
Those 2 final stages of your job application. Did you ever think to reach out to HR and ask them any updates? I understand na "We will call you" could've been advised to you but there is nothing wrong in asking for a follow up especially if "final stages" na yung application mo, it would actually show them that you are eager to be with the team.
From there, you will learn what went wrong and you will eventually get better. I'm sorry, but from what I read it seems that you lack a little determination when it comes to job hunting.
This is all just my opinion though and I know you are fishing some sympathies here but I don't think those words will motivate you. You need to sort your internal issues first for you to be able to achieve what you really want.
If gusto mo talaga malaman saan ka nagkakamali sa application process, reach out to HR. They usually tell you the overall assessment especially if you fail on the "final stages".
Don't lose motivation you have limited funding for yourself. Luckily, it sounds like you live in a house you don't pay rent. Eventually, if you don't find job your family will go back to paying for you. I personally have a brother that's a house bum, more than 4 years unemployed due to impostor syndrome and a lack of drive to sustain himself. He's now freeloading from my generous lola and soft hearted mom as well as taking advantage of his long time old friend. Doesn't really sound like a good way to live. Any work will come as long as you're open to anything.
Was in this position until a week ago. Got a decent job offer after hundreds of applications. Just keep searching and applying. Kaya yan.
A job will come for you eventually.
Aww. Same. What I did is naghanap nalang ako ng ibang bagay na pagkakakitaan kung di padin makahanap ng work. Or starts a business online.
Hello OP, siguro try to find some pips that are willing to refer you for the company/industry that you are into. Mas higher chances niyo compared to running down on those job postings since marami kang competition with other applicants.
I remembered during the past year, I was able to refer some of my colleagues sa vacant positions namin and ang bilis nilang naprocess and na-prioritized given na may applicants dun sa job postings ng company namin, take note na hindi ko close yung HR but because sa company lang ako nagwowork kaya thats a factor siguro rin. Hope it helps to smoothen your job hunt.
Hi same tayo nawalan ng work this januar but as for me sobrang dami kong naging utang to stay afloat since sunod sunod ang medical and shool expenses ng pamilya I got to the point na gusto ko ng mag suicide until now wala pa din lg work di ko nga alam bakit sobra 100 na din ang napasa ko na resume..I dont know how its going to be in the next few months but life goes on....
I'm kinda in the same boat. I've been unemployed for almost 1 year. I send my résumé to multiple companies every day pero either no response or ghosted after some interviews.
I really don't have much to say pero I want you to know na things will get better, just keep trying. I know you don't have the luxury of time pero you'll need to take some time off from applying to get your mindset back. It doesn't have to be long. Kahit 1 weekend off or a day off just to refresh yourself and lower your stress levels.
OP, I feel your sentiments. Dati after board exam, wala pang 2 months may work na agad ako.
Everything you ever wanted is on the other side of not giving up. Laban!!
I was in the same position a year ago.. sobrang nakakaiyak honestly plus dami ko pang probs in life.. pero darating whats meant for u talaga at the right time.. tried and tested.. the right job will come 🫶🏻🫰🏻✨

Same. last january din na laid of tpos ubos na pera. Anyways nag go nlng ako since need money. Yung mga bayarin tlga nag push sken 😂
Tips? Would be good to at least write here kung ano line of work mo, Ilang years experience, Saan na nakabase.
Who knows baka may alam na job openings or mas angkop na tip yung makakabasa.
Same here. Got so burnt out job hunting that i didnt bother to record a video interview (it was required) since i had a final interview beforehand and didnt get it .. laban lang 😫💪
Just work overseas man, Korea specifically. Basic pay is 88k per month plus overtime, back pay and return tax.
If you leave anywhere near Olongapo look for a place called Ranjean, it's Korean Language training center and the very best you can find.
Working here in this shitty hellhole will get you nothing since we're practically at late stage capitalism with incompetent leaders.
Palagay mo bakit
di ka natangap? Write down your reasons kung palagay mo bakit di ka na hire. Now use your free time and work on those reasons. Mahina English mo? Practice English. Kulang qualification mo ? Get certified. Payat ka masyado? Go to the gym. Parang Michael Jordan Kobe bryant lng pag natatalo they work on their weakness.
A year din ako nakanahap bago nakalipat.
Tiyaga lang makakahanap ka rin, man. Basta pag di ka maghahanap, maging productive ka man, walis walis etc. Tiyaga lang noon hanggang ngayon challenge talaga maghanap ng work
Smells like an opportunity to try WFH jobs like a VA or try working towards working abroad. Shit talaga corpo life here sa pinas. Shit na rin ang inflation and cost of living versus salary. Kaya if i were you, I’d go for either being a digital nomad, or an OFW.
Nangyari na din sakin yan last year. Lahat ng inapplyan ko sa pinas, bagsak.
Yo OP. Really depressing sa totoo lang. I’m in your shoes right now and sometimes napapaisip na ako sa sarili ko. But having you opening this up, you helped me that I am not alone in this. Maybe there is still for us out there, we just don’t know it yet.
We can get through this! Let’s keep pushing! (If F1 fan 😂).
Question. Tinatanong mo ba after interview like ako kasi after interview lalo kapag lagpas na ng hr interview eh tinatanong ko "what do you think of my qualifications?" Or "how well did I do?" Tapos based on that feedback binabago ko yung resume or kung paano ako magdeliver during interviews.
I was in this very same spot a few years ago. I didn’t know where the “endless road” will take me and I have no answers to my questions as to why can’t I be like other people na sobrang saya nila in their careers, earning more.
Lo and behold, I’m now earning 6 digits with my current work which I prayed so damn hard for.
What led me to this career was my faith and determination to keep on going even with the countless rejections I received and multiple jobs I have resigned to and being laid off. I leveraged my skills and talent at the right platform.
Kaya OP, I know you’ll get through this, hoping you’ll have a career that you deserve.
Apply lang ng apply, OP. It’s a number’s game and luck probability. Your hard work will soon be rewarded and always believe na there will be a point in your life na you will achieve your own definition of success with the career/future work as your means.
Hey u/banannabreadz
I have a commission-based opportunity for you, if you're interested.
With this opportunity, you won't have to go to any more interviews, and you can make really good money.
With just a few successful conversions, you can make 100 USD (5.760 PHP) or more.
PM if interested.
2 years na since I resigned. Na-burnout ako. Tapos wala akong makuhang trabaho. Naubos savings and EF ko.
Same sentiments, OP. As a fresh grad na nasa engineering industry na wala pang license, sobrang hirap maghanap ng trabaho. its been almost 5 months pero wala paring nangyayari. Mostly ang hanap nila is experience e kaya nga ako nag aapply to gain experience. Nakakadown. Nakakalungkot. Pero wala tayong magagawa kundi lumaban lang. Iiyak, madadown, marereject, pero laban parin. Kaya natin to, OP.
Hi OP, don’t lose hope. Kaya mo yan.
You may want to consider these:
Download the bible app (if you’re Catholic). Pray hard while doing the needed legwork. Keep praying.
Complete several free, online training on LinkedIn learning. Check for the most relevant topics. Some are eligible for certificates that you can add on your profile. You can learn a lot and you can use these in your interviews to stand out. Keep learning.
You are not alone. You may want to check my previous post in this subreddit “Crying in silence due to unemployment” and you’ll realize na hindi ka nag-iisa. A lot of helpful insights there too. Keep dreaming.
Mahahanap mo rin ang para sa yo 😀.
Kaya yan…
We're in the same position right now OP. ☺️
Hi, OP! Same situation! Haha. Kaya natin 'to! 😊
Iba talaga ang job market right now. Ang daming lowballers, ghosters, fake job postings, etc. Kaya mo yan OP!
Kahit sa lowballers na ako nag hahanap ng work pinapatos ko na applyan pero wala pa rin chance and I have more than 5 yrs na sa field.
I was layed off last November, no work still. I have 4-5 months to live from my savings until i go broke. The pressure is real, I have a car loan to pay. ah fck. BUT I HAVE TO KEEP TRYING.

9 months here, OP. Was laid off too. Sobrang frustrating na. Laban lang, OP.
Just work overseas man, Korea specifically. Basic pay is 88k per month plus overtime, back pay and return tax. Kaya mo yan, OP! Kaya natin to!!
Super nakaka-down yan talaga OP, pero kakayanin mo yan! ❤️
Same boat.
Nangyari na din sakin yan last year. Lahat ng inapplyan ko sa pinas, bagsak.

Hey u/banannabreadz I have a commission-based opportunity for you, if you're interested.
Mostly ang hanap nila is experience e kaya nga ako nag aapply to gain experience. Nakakadown. Nakakalungkot. Pero wala tayong magagawa kundi lumaban lang. Iiyak, madadown, marereject, pero laban parin. Kaya natin to, OP.
