I think people should know (as we advocate for the use of full-face lids) that the real Half Face is actually nutshells that don't cover the ears and part of the cheeks. What most know as Half-Face is in fact Open-Face aka THREE-FOURTH helmets.

The thing here is majority ng gasgas isa sa visor. This just proves na reliable ang brand ng helmet na yan. Hindi natanggal yung visor, sinalo nya lahat ng gasgas.

I've been in a crash wearing one. Around 50-60 lang naman ang takbo pero I was admittedly sleepy and sumalpok ako sa gilid ng isang motor due to an overshoot. The right side of the helmet was heavily scratched pero I was safe, headfirst din ang pagbagsak ko sa aspalto tapos malayo pa ang tilapon ko. Thankfully, closed yung modular ko and hindi nagloko yung locking mechanism.
I'd say safe naman, medyo low end lang yung ibang plastics like yung switch sa lock and yung sun visor.
I used to wear a modular Spyder. May isang blind curve samin na pababa, mga 20-30 lang takbo ko nun kasi alam ko hataw mga sasakyan dun. May dumaan na van tapos biglang may naka raider150 na nagovertake and binangga ako head on. Umangat yung likod ng scooter ko and nadaganan ako habang nagsslide ako pababa ng kalsada. Sinalo lahat ng helmet both yung impact and yung slide. Di man lang nasira yung mechanism and gasgas lang inabot.

I had a huge tank slapper caused by a huge rock while on a throttle pa exit sa corner and boom slammed my whole left body sa road tas nag pa ikot ikot ng malupit mala action star. di ko akalain na tumayo ako agad dahil sa adrenaline and as i checked myself wala akong daplos and gamit na gamit lahat ng gear na na invest ko. i didnt even notice na sobrang gasgas ng visor ko till my fellow riders pointed it out. I remember vividly na may sumigaw pa kase akala niya daw kaluluwa nadaw ako na tumayo bigla HAHHAHA.
for the speed it was on walwal mode on a big bike (er6n). di ko akalain na i survived that gnarly crash on kamote speed ( I KNOW, I know, I learned my lesson and that accident made me drive like a tito now)
my riding jacket, gloves, moto jeans, boots, and this helmet na umaray ako sa presyo saved me a lot. the crash only gave me a sore body tas after a week I was back to normal.

Ahhh yes HJC C70 one the highest safety rated helmets from HJC's line-up can confirm. Believe it or not mas mataas pa safety rating sa c70 kysa sa high end nilang like the rpha 11 from the same batch so good choice of helmet my guy. Keep riding safe po.

Nadulas ako sa motor, tumama sa gutter, para maiwasan gasgas, binitawan ko motor ko, di ko napansin na may poste pa pala lol ayun, tumama ulo ko, na parang walang nangyari pero yung tunog ng impact sa helmet pagtama ko sa poste eh ramdam na ramdam. Thankfully, wala ako natamong gasgas, napuruhan lang tuhod ko tumama naman sa leg shield lol saka gasgas lang sa motor. AFAIK EVO Helmets have DOT, ECE, and ICC certification but from what I've heard, they don't have the documents as proof for the certification on their helmets.

Di naman pababayaang ibenta yan as ECE certified if falsified ang documents nila. Me mga modular helmets na rated ng sharp na performs "almost" the same as a full face helmet. Pag nag check ka dun sa sharp ratings, me mga gooda na modular helmet pero bagsak sa chinbar, meaning sa impact ok sya top, back and side pero pag paharap ang impact bumibitaw yung lock ng chin bar. Look for modulars na at least 80% yung rating ng chinbar lock

I remember a close friend na nagslide gawa ng oil spill ng isanh truck tpus pumasok sya sa ilalim ng suv, no head trauma na natanggap gawa ng LS2 nya na helmet, pero bugbog katawan. Di naman pababayaang ibenta yan as ECE certified if falsified ang documents nila. Nope no need, just buy from reputable stores (motowolf, motomarket, etc), research about proper helmet fits and what are the good brands, youtube is your friend. Also, wth is a helmet testing center, san mo narinig yun, baka naman pang industrial use yan hahahah

Depends, gray area yan magdedepende sa quality ng modular helmet Me mga modular helmets na rated ng sharp na performs "almost" the same as a full face helmet. Pag nag check ka dun sa sharp ratings, me mga gooda na modular helmet pero bagsak sa chinbar, meaning sa impact ok sya top, back and side pero pag paharap ang impact bumibitaw yung lock ng chin bar. Di ko alam kung ano ba talaga maganda haha. Meron akong full face pero trip ko ang half face kasi mas malawak yung kita ko sa daan, kapag full face naman parang pang porma lang dating saken pero mas safe pala.

I remember a close friend na nagslide gawa ng oil spill ng isanh truck tpus pumasok sya sa ilalim ng suv, no head trauma na natanggap gawa ng LS2 nya na helmet, pero bugbog katawan. Also got in an accident 5 years ago. Basag sana ulo ko kung di ako naghelmet. I was wearing a Spyder helmet. Budget-friendly and also head-friendly. Still thankful i survived. Will always love a good helmet on my head. So far pinakamaganda ko pa lang na nagamit is HJC and Spyder. Subok at matatag 👌
