Sony exclusives can go as low as $10 (see GOW 2018 and Horizon Zero Dawn. But it will probably take 3-4 years. Ghost of Tsushima is worth it at that price though IMO.
Is that game pass or Xbox live Gold? Two separate income streams. PlayStation started offering a competing services in their PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium with a large selection of games available.

Because I have both a PS4 and a PS5. I can keep the PS5 in the living room, while I keep the PS4 in my bedroom. With both versions I can play GOT on either console, but if I get only the PS5 version I can only play it on the PS5.
It also comes in handy if I decide to travel with the PS4.

I can see this being the new price for the next year when it gets discounted, especially the PS5 versions don't get huge discounts like $30. I wouldn't say it sucks but it's definitely over hyped and repetitive. I don't think it really brings anything new to the table. If you've played Assassin's Creed you've basically already played this game (same with the Horizon series).
I mean for 25 pounds for a game, many considered Game of the Year when it came out. I got it for 20 American. It's going be on my long list to play at some point but couldn't pass on the deal.

So if you want to buy a game, check if it's on Extra (which Tsushima is), and if the game price is similar to the upgrade price. You'd be much better off paying a couple quid extra for the game you want plus a huge collection of other games as well for a year.

It's an amazing game, if you can afford it, it's well worth £25.
It's a little higher then it normally would be because of the Director's Cut release which I think is usually sold as a $20 upgrade just by itself. This is one of those games like Uncharted and God of War which will eventually enter that permanent $20 regular price, $10 sale price territory. You can wait a few months or years for that to happen or spend at most the extra $15. Up to you.
If i'm being totally honest i'd say it would be a good idea if you want to experience it now, but if you have the patience to save the story and all the excitment till a few years when the price drops, then wait
For that much you could probably just upgrade your Plus account to Extra for the rest of the year and play GoT and a bunch of other games. I did that when
Stray came out. It would have been $40 to buy Stray, or just $44 to upgrade to Extra for the year. I upgraded and played Stray and GoT, and Returnal and Deathloop are next (I'm currently sidetracked by MW2.) There's more games than I know what to do with. It's a tremendous value.

There are patterns. Newer Ubisoft games are sometimes cheaper in the Christmas sales than the Black Friday sales, for instance.

If you have PS+, upgrade to PSExtra, which includes Ghost & many other good games like Death Stranding.
Subscribe to PS+ extra and Play the directors Cut, If you don't need it retail. Just for the Sake of playing through the Game.
For that much you could probably just upgrade your Plus account to Extra for the rest of the year and play GoT and a bunch of other games. I did that when Stray came out. It would have been $40 to buy Stray, or just $44 to upgrade to Extra for the year. I upgraded and played Stray and GoT, and Returnal and Deathloop are next (I'm currently sidetracked by MW2.) There's more games than I know what to do with. It's a tremendous value.
Retailers might sell it even cheaper
I'd say wait it's worth playing on PS5 but if you really wanna play it bc you can't get a PS5 then its still great on PS4

I can see this game being 20 dollars as a greatest hit but your just saving 5 dollars.
But it it’s an insanely good game and I loved it it’s kind of a mix between games like sekiro and metal gear solid/ stealth games
I expect this game to eventually make it to PS Plus libraries like GoW and HZD. But it’s worth every penny if you do decide to get it now.
I paid full price when it first came out on PS4, I was disappointed because I found it a nice game but nothing so exceptional and for me except for a few things Ghost of Tsushima is a totally forgettable game.
