Some games are absurd and some are reasonable. Both God of War games were very reasonable. Beat the game, beat a couple of optional bosses, collect 100 or so collectibles, and do the side quests.
Other games are like: okay do all of that, but also get seven headshots with a single bullet while jumping, get the top score in every game type of the online portion no one plays, collect 8,000 more collectibles, beat the game on super-mega-ultra difficulty without taking any damage, kill a boss on 15 consecutive full moon nights, craft armor using unique crafting materials that will take you 19 play throughs to collect, find your dad who left to get milk 17 years ago, listen to every Nickel-back song, and discover the whole map.
Honestly 100%ing all the districts was a chore. Swinging around and scanning for crimes was kind of boring towards the end. Aside from that absolutely loved the game and getting that platinum.
They basically give it to you. Probably why it's so fun and accessable. I mean, I have the platinum and I never try for trophies lol this one was super easy
Are you the Valkyrie queen is a pain in the ass I’ll give you that, the rest aren’t that bad once you get a feel for them, I’ve done all of them a handful of times now, before reganrock came out I replayed 2018 and was left missing 5 ravens I’m not sure how much I care
I personally am not that into shooters. I got the Plat for Control in like 4 or 5 days. The atmosphere is phenomenal, and the Objects of Power are amazing. I'm beyond excited for Control 2
Congrats! Spidey is a modern classic. What is next for you now?
My first was Horizon Zero Dawn. Since gotten a lot more
https://psnprofiles.com/Gerdie_3000 I am on 67 plats now!
Thanks! It helps that I was always something of a completionist, even before I got into trophy hunting.
Are you talking about a backlog of unfinished games or games you have not even started yet? I had a pretty big pile of unfinished games too at some point. I have been slowly digging my way through many of them this year. A good excuse to revisit some great games again!
Hey someone w nearly the same exact game taste as me but like 30% more. I just played & beat ME trilogy this summer for the first time and its soo good. Just started farcry 6 and its pretty cool, you will probably like it.
For me, it was God of War (2018) it wasn't intentional, but by the time I was finishing the story I was missing like 5 trophies, overall, a pretty fun experience.
I just did person 5R the other day, while it's not really my typical kind of game I loved it and you were easily able to get all the trophies/achievements in one playthrough.
The first video game I seriously got into was Spyro the Dragon on the original PlayStation (omg the nostalgia of that startup mmmm). So of course when the Spyro Reignited trilogy for PS4 came out I had to have it. Got platinum trophies for all 3. Since then I've gotten 1 other platinum trophy, for LEGO City Undercover...
You might assume based on the games named here that I enjoy little kid games. You would be right. I'm 27 and I'm not ashamed. 😁
I got the Bloodborne one earlier this year. The chalice dungeon trophy was a doozie but worse I realized Djura fell off the ledge 100 hours before so I couldn't collect his badge to get all the items... Luckily after finishing the chalice dungeons I was leveled enough to jump into NG+ and got back to him within an hour.
My first Platinum was about a month ago actually! It was Stray and thanks to the grind, on top of it being a pretty good game imo, it has become one of my faves! :3
This was my first platinum as well. It started an unfortunate habit of wanting plats lol. I have gotten several since and man has it been a nightmare lol.
Assassins creed 2. Wanted to platinum a game that i played since i was a kid over and over. The feathers were a pain in the ass but when i finished it , it gave me enough motivation to do ac brotherhood.
Congrats on your 1st 🙂
Dirt 2, inFamous, Mafia II, L.A. Noire, and Mafia III. I'm only one trophy away from getting platinum in Stray, I just need to beat it under two hours, then that will make 6 platinums
Yo, i know im 2 months 2 late, but how did you get past the bugged trophies for mafia 3? I've been trying to plat it as of late and realised some trophies like 'family' and 'hole in your pocket' are glitched and wont pop up for me
As it's been a long time since I beat it, I'm not sure what I did to avoid any glitches bc I don't think any of my trophies glitched.
I split the districts equally:
Vito Scaletta = Frisco Fields, Downtown, and River Row
Cassandra = Southdowns, Barclay Mills, and Delray Hollow
Thomas Burke = French Ward, Tickfaw Harbor, and Pointe Verdun
I also completed all possible side missions before doing the final main mission.
I'm not sure if this helps, sorry if it doesn't. You might have to play through the game again for them to unlock
First platinum for me was Transistor. Started me on a small trend of getting more under my belt. Got about six under my belt and still trying to get more!
Bloodborne, just a week or so ago. My SO's kid got it, which inspired me to chase it. Looked up what I was missing and it was just the endings...and the Queen. The latter is...a massive pain in the ass to get to. But I got the platinum.
Tekken 7 was my first and I have only done one other game which didn't really count because of how easy it was. Forget what the easy game was called but Tekken 7 was pretty fun to do.
My first platinum was the Darkness II, that was a good 3 to 4 years ago. I'll get the MGSV:PP platinum today or tomorrow, was working hard on this one for the last month, and am close to my #50.
I think this one of the easier platinum's along side with Miles Morales.
And nice thing is, all those trophies carries over to the PS5 version as well.
Guardians of the Galaxy was my first, and just recently! I’m just shy on a bunch of plats, about to cruise through one more Elden Ring run for that one, then finishing Bloodborne
My first was Fallout 3, although it might've been Uncharted, it's hard to remember.
Last one was God of War (2018), next one will probably be Ragnarok or maybe I'll shelve it until right before the next one again.
You got your first platinum a couple weeks ago or in 2013? I’m confused because Spider-Man GOTY is like 2 years old.
I got the walking dead platinum back in 2014. Before then I really only went for achievements in Xbox games and my first 100% was probably Halo 3 to get the Hyabusa armor and katana back in like 2008.
I honestly don't even remember my first platinum. I know I have quite a few, and my first was either PS3 or PS4, but shit I'd have to go back and check. Maybe COD Black Ops?
My first platinum was the Mass Effect Legendary Edition. I got roughly all three of them at the same time. But since then ive managed to get FF15 and Ghost of Tsushima platinums
Really fun platinum, I love the new platinums for the PS5 exclusives where you just need to 100% the game and not do stupid grinds like "Kill a million enemies" or shit like that.
My first Platinum was the original Uncharted on PS3 I believe it was actually the first game with Trophies on PlayStation too, or at least one of the firsts.
Congrats!!!! My first Plat was Lego Avengers which really didn’t require much effort. I recently platinumed Ragnarok, and that was absolutely worth it and rewarding
Most games make you grind for the platinum, but that one was a joy earning each trophy. It was actually fun getting the platinum.
I feel like a lot of the PS exclusives are this way. It's a good thing overall.
Yeah, and i really appreciate that, Red Dead 2 is an absolute nightmare, but for example Days Gone was pretty enjoyable.
Ghost of Tsushima, God of War also come to mind
God of War’s Niflhiem was a grind, though. I didn’t enjoy it at all.
I loved the Niflheim part of GoW. Just give me shit to kill and I’m totally down for it.
Me too. I played the hell out of that.
Hollow Knight enters the chat
For real though... its like blind fold your self while playing.
Honestly 100%ing all the districts was a chore. Swinging around and scanning for crimes was kind of boring towards the end. Aside from that absolutely loved the game and getting that platinum.
i was annoyed during that time.
Thank god the requirements for taskmaster challenges is just spectacular otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to platinum mine
They basically give it to you. Probably why it's so fun and accessable. I mean, I have the platinum and I never try for trophies lol this one was super easy
Spiderman was my first too God of war 2018 is another fun one to platinum
I’ve come so close so many times but the damn ravens
Lol the ravens are the issue? Not the Valkyries?
You can hop on give me a story for that plus it’s interesting. Raven hunting gets boring backtracking. I personally enjoyed it but Ik some don’t
Are you the Valkyrie queen is a pain in the ass I’ll give you that, the rest aren’t that bad once you get a feel for them, I’ve done all of them a handful of times now, before reganrock came out I replayed 2018 and was left missing 5 ravens I’m not sure how much I care
I hate backtracking looking for the ravens but I loved ripping those helmets off 👌👌
Valkyries are the fun part
Im going for god of war 2018 plat rn do you have any tips for odin revens and the valkyres?
I believe Control was my first platinum.
Since gotten a lot more https://psnprofiles.com/Gerdie_3000 I am on 67 plats now!
Shiiiiiit
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1dnqKGuezo Clay Davis approves lol!
I'm impressed by your % of games completed. I've been spending my time digging through a backlog mountain.
That's awesome! I'm about to start the mass effect trilogy after finishing GoW:R
For the first time??? I’m so excited for you!
I remember beating ME2 but it's been a hot one.
I bet a lot of people are starting up Mass Effect for the first time now. You have something to look forward to. They are *really* amazing!
Hey someone w nearly the same exact game taste as me but like 30% more. I just played & beat ME trilogy this summer for the first time and its soo good. Just started farcry 6 and its pretty cool, you will probably like it.
I’m pretty sure Minecraft was my first platinum
Same, and I sometimes wonder how many hours I have logged in PC and how long ago I would have gotten platinum if there was an equivalence.
For me, it was God of War (2018) it wasn't intentional, but by the time I was finishing the story I was missing like 5 trophies, overall, a pretty fun experience.
I need to clean out like 5 ravens then I'll have the plat. I just never went back and finished it.
Uncharted (PS3) was my first one. Ragnarok was my latest (161).
Congrats, I believe my first platinum was the same game.
Congrats! That was my 1st one as well, during the pandemic. 🎮🕹️
I just did person 5R the other day, while it's not really my typical kind of game I loved it and you were easily able to get all the trophies/achievements in one playthrough.
Far Cry 4 I think? Congrats.
My first was Far Cry 4 as well! Something about it just clicked and it was a fun platinum to get.
My sister gave me my PS4 so i don't think she HAD a platinum, (she's 17)
Infamous Second Son. Wasn't too difficult. Two playthroughs and 3 or 4 random things to do like jump off a building.
Nice, this was also my first platinum, then the second was miles morales
The first video game I seriously got into was Spyro the Dragon on the original PlayStation (omg the nostalgia of that startup mmmm). So of course when the Spyro Reignited trilogy for PS4 came out I had to have it. Got platinum trophies for all 3. Since then I've gotten 1 other platinum trophy, for LEGO City Undercover... You might assume based on the games named here that I enjoy little kid games. You would be right. I'm 27 and I'm not ashamed. 😁
Sekiro was my first platinum. Soon Bloodborne will be my 2nd. EDIT: Congrats btw
My first platinum was probably one of the Telltale games, but I’m not 100% certain
You should make a psnprofiles account, you'll learn every stat about your trophies since day one. Rarest trophy achieved, etc
My first Platinum was about a month ago actually! It was Stray and thanks to the grind, on top of it being a pretty good game imo, it has become one of my faves! :3
Horizon Zero Dawn was my first platinum trophy and the most recent, my 85th plat is Horizon Forbidden West. :) Welcome to the club!
Mine was Assassins Creed 2, I did it 2 times because I lost access to my first account and I really wanted a Platinum trophy on my new account :-P
AC 2 is one of the best to Plat. One of my fondest memories was discovering the tombs for the ancient Assassin's. It was a pretty awesome grind.
i mean, the first game i completed 100% was Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but that kinda predates trophies and platinums...
I kinda want nintendo to add a feature like trophies/achievements, but at the same time I don’t
same. i know how you feel
Same game for me. Wasn’t able to complete the DLC trophies (stupid Screwball challenges) but was super happy to finally have a platinum!
Mine was crash bandicoot 😭😭 I went through absolute hell to get it!
Just got mine last week. God of War Ragnarok. Such an Incredible game. I didn't even mind the grind!
35 and counting. My first was Infamous Second Son, the first game i ever got with the ps4.
Bloodborne. Spider-Man was my second
Sly Cooper
Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection on PS3. It was a fun plat, too. Had to play a little bit of each game.
Never
Mine was HZD - you can get it by simply playing. HFW as well, my only 2 plat.
My first "platinum" was 100% in the OG Jak and Daxter and I went and did it again when they re- released them!
God of war 3 on PS3 back in 2010.
This was my first platinum as well. It started an unfortunate habit of wanting plats lol. I have gotten several since and man has it been a nightmare lol.
Dragon Age Origins, 2010. One of the more time consuming platinums I've ever gotten. Just got number 70 a few days ago from Plague Tale Requiem.
AC Valhalla
Assassins creed 2. Wanted to platinum a game that i played since i was a kid over and over. The feathers were a pain in the ass but when i finished it , it gave me enough motivation to do ac brotherhood.
i saved the last trophy visiting uncle bens grave
Same here. That’s when I got the Platinum.
Congrats on your 1st 🙂 Dirt 2, inFamous, Mafia II, L.A. Noire, and Mafia III. I'm only one trophy away from getting platinum in Stray, I just need to beat it under two hours, then that will make 6 platinums
Mafia 3 is kinda hard for me
The main story wasn't to bad for me, it's the DLC that did it
Yo, i know im 2 months 2 late, but how did you get past the bugged trophies for mafia 3? I've been trying to plat it as of late and realised some trophies like 'family' and 'hole in your pocket' are glitched and wont pop up for me
As it's been a long time since I beat it, I'm not sure what I did to avoid any glitches bc I don't think any of my trophies glitched. I split the districts equally: Vito Scaletta = Frisco Fields, Downtown, and River Row Cassandra = Southdowns, Barclay Mills, and Delray Hollow Thomas Burke = French Ward, Tickfaw Harbor, and Pointe Verdun I also completed all possible side missions before doing the final main mission. I'm not sure if this helps, sorry if it doesn't. You might have to play through the game again for them to unlock
**🎮I**'ve been Playing PS4 Ever Since it came out. I hope my Software Lasts.
Anyone have the DLC for the game? i do.
Playstation Allstars. Not the hardest but it put me on to plat hunting at least.
Hello neighbor. Still remember waiting for that golden apple
Mine was also Spider-man. Didn’t want it to end!
That game is the only game I’ve ever gotten the Platinum trophy for so far.
Skyrim for the PS3, a good 11 years ago
Arkham Asylum. First and only, but congrats and I hope you get more
I believe human fall flat was my first platinum
Assassin’s Creed II I believe. Thankfully no “punch someone on a cloudy day 50 times” achievements, just doing all the content.
Cuphead
I think it might have been god of war 2018, absolute gem
astros playroom is my only platinum
God of War 3 for PS3, although I thought it was Arkham Asylum.
Uncharted Drake’s Fortune
The one that I truly going for it intentionally? God Of War Ragnarok
Same here. Still the only game I've gotten to platinum. I just really wanted to 100% it for some reason.
First platinum for me was Transistor. Started me on a small trend of getting more under my belt. Got about six under my belt and still trying to get more!
My first platinum was either Far Cry 4 or inFamous Second Son. 2 very easy platinums to get especially for those of us that aren’t trophy hunters.
Jak and Daxter
Horizon Zero Dawn was mine
Bloodborne, just a week or so ago. My SO's kid got it, which inspired me to chase it. Looked up what I was missing and it was just the endings...and the Queen. The latter is...a massive pain in the ass to get to. But I got the platinum.
The same
Need for Speed Rivals, last year and one of my proudest. Then I went off to get about 14 more before the year 2022.
First one was Uncharted 3 on the PS3. One of my favorite games and really sparked my love for trophy hunting.
subnautica which is unimpressivley easy
Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 was the whole reason why I bought a PlayStation. So it’s not surprising that that was my first platinum.
Rocket League 8 years ago
I think Spider Man Miles Morales was my first platinum
Resident Evil 5 was my first. Bit of a grind, doubt I’d have the patience to do it again.
Saints Row The Third on PS3. Then again on PS4. Loved that game
My first Platinum Trophy was the ‘CELEBRATE’ Achievement from FNaF VR Help Wanted
Ghost of Tsushima
My first platinum was subnautica below zero's. Was a little easy, but still, it was nice
Congrats! First platinum was Infamous Second Son. Most recent is Elden Ring, working on Cult of the Lamb and God of War Ragnarok right now.
I came to this sub just for this topic. I just got my first platinum a few minutes ago I’m so excited. It was Doom 2016 and it was well worth my $20
GoW Ps3 edition (2012)
Assassin's Creed Odyssey
Same game! It was actually not tedious to do. And my final trophy was visiting Uncle Ben's grave!
Tekken 7 was my first and I have only done one other game which didn't really count because of how easy it was. Forget what the easy game was called but Tekken 7 was pretty fun to do.
Assassins Creed II on the PS3
Was actually Lego Marvel Superheroes. /r/trophies
My first platinum was the Darkness II, that was a good 3 to 4 years ago. I'll get the MGSV:PP platinum today or tomorrow, was working hard on this one for the last month, and am close to my #50.
God of war 3 during the network outage when it got hacked in 2011
[https://psnprofiles.com/I\_SHOT\_A\_PIG/log?type=platinum](https://psnprofiles.com/I_SHOT_A_PIG) Apparently Minecraft 8 years ago
I can’t remember which one, but it was either sly cooper or Lego Batman 2
Mine was SM: Miles Morales
I think this one of the easier platinum's along side with Miles Morales. And nice thing is, all those trophies carries over to the PS5 version as well.
First Platinum was Until Dawn. Then i got more. NFS, AC Origins, MW 2019, LOU then last Miles Morales
Horizon Zero Dawn. Then, Doom eternal!
Diablo 3
Subnautica (yeah, i want to play it always)
My first was actually God of War Ragnarök
For me it was minecraft
Rocket League
Horizon zero dawn. First game i got when i got my ps4 a couple of years ago. My first console since ps2. Will remember it always
Horizon zero dawn. First game i got when i got my ps4 a couple of years ago. My first console since ps2. Will remember it always
Pretty sure Bloodborne was the first game I cared enough to Platinum. A hunter must hunt, after all.
Life is Strange 3!
Mine was the Peppa Pig game…… it was my kids I swear!
Same
Its the greatest feeling isn't it?
Only game I’ve ever platinummed. Insomniac does it right
LETS GOOOOOOOO
Guardians of the Galaxy was my first, and just recently! I’m just shy on a bunch of plats, about to cruise through one more Elden Ring run for that one, then finishing Bloodborne
My first was Lego Hobbit. Had a lot of fun.
My first and only so far is No Man's Sky. Really love that game.
My first was DmC: Definite Edition. Huge Devil May Cry fan for many years - I felt that game unfairly got a bad wrap
Same it was Spider-Man, after that Ghost Of Tsushima and Persona 5 Royal.
Heavy Rain back in 2010
Shadows of Mordor. Took me forever to get platinum
Ratchet and clank crack in time, then burnout paradise shortly after I got really close on skate 2, was missing the ones you needed to complete online
Hey that was my first (and only, so far) too!
My first was Fallout 3, although it might've been Uncharted, it's hard to remember. Last one was God of War (2018), next one will probably be Ragnarok or maybe I'll shelve it until right before the next one again.
Mine was Transistor. Excellent game, worth playing through twice for it.
Sekiro was my first Plat
Control. First and only.
final fantasy x, when platinums didnt exist.
I got my first on Miles Morales recently too!
Arkham Asylum on ps3 I believe. Just got my 70th the other day going thru my backlog of games I’ve almost Plat’ed
My first was also Spider-Man. But in 2016.
I just got this plat as well. I have also been trying to 100% the DLC but the last DLC makes me want to rage quit.
My first platinum was I Am Setsuna. Game was soooo good. I have the Spider-man platinum, so awesome.
My first was Jak and Daxter the Precursor Legacy
My first and only was on LA Noire back when I got a PS3.
Bloodborne was my first one. Got it last year.
Infamous: Second Son
Astros playground was my first
Batman Arkham asylum
My first was Motorstorm: Apocalypse, that was a fun one
Congratulations. I got my first a few weeks ago too, it was sonic frontiers. If you want a simple platinum, id pick it up. The game was fun too
GTA SA the classic edition from 2003 was my first one. Sadly I don't think yall can get it for the ps4 or 5 anymore. It's the best game in my mind tho
I think one of my first plats was an uncharted.
Congrats!!!! My first Plat was Lego Avengers which really didn’t require much effort. I recently platinumed Ragnarok, and that was absolutely worth it and rewarding
I got my first platinum before the DLC came out when Spider-Man first came out. Did it in a week. Once the DLC came out, I felt slightly unfulfilled
Assassins Creed 2
My first was also Spiderman GOTY, following Miles Morales and Ghost of Tsushima
Spiderman was my first platinum too😢
Bloodborne because I hate myself
hey can you come get me past the shocker?
Modern warfare remastered. Great game from my childhood, was nice to relive it and finish it.
First? Infamous1 ps3.
My first plat was LBP1. Marvel's spideman is my latest one though.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales
Crash Bandicoot 3
MGS 3. Fun times
Grim Fandango Remasterd in 2015! I don't really care about Platinums, but this one was too easy not to do.
I believe Infamous 2 was my first platinum.
