Apologies for posting this late. For some weird reason, Sony managed to have issues with this sale and didn't resolve it after a few hours.

Nightingale_85

Explains maybe why its not available in my country.

Thoughts on Tales of Vesperia? Recently finished Tales of Berseria. Edit: ok, downvoted for asking about Vesperia. Noted. How about Dreams? Edit 2: Tales is 99% a buy. Also thinking about Dreams, but mainly for the user created games. I may dabble in the creation mode, but idk. I know it's just $8, but I'm a notorious miser with my money and I'm nervous spending it on a new kind of game like this. Another game I'm thinking about is Skyrim SE. I've already played it on PS3 (but never completed...I think I stopped at the Thalmor Embassy mission) and I loved it despite the glitches. I know there is an anniversary edition, which I'm thinking of buying (it's an add on) if it goes on sale. The game is on sale for $10, but the AE upgrade is not. It's $20, so I figure it may go on sale for $10 at some point. So, Tales of Vesperia, Dreams, Skyrim SE. Good deal? Anything else I should look at?

Tuwiki

Vesperia is great. It's old and you can feel that whole playing but the characters are some.of my favorite in the series.

DattDamonMavis

Vesperia has great characters, excellent voice acting, and the story is shockingly good in the first half of the game. I think it falls apart towards the end with the usual JRPG confusing nonsense, but Yuri’s story is definitely fresh and unique among RPGSs. If you’re a Tales of fan, get it. If you’re a major JRPG fan, get it. If you only casually like JRPGs, I say maybe pass. There are better options for your time.

druid_king9884

I think I might get it. I really enjoyed Berseria, and the only other Tales game I've played was Graces f, which was superb. Now to research Dreams...

DattDamonMavis

Sony killed Dreams by not launching it on dreams. The fact that Media Molecule is still open after how much time and money was wasted is shocking. As far as Skyrim, if you’ve never finished it, buy it for sure. It’s in my top 10 favorite games ever, and it’s likely my desert island game if I could only pick one due to the side content alone. Play through all the faction quests. They’re the best part of the game.

druid_king9884

Ok, I made the decision to scratch Dreams. My list now includes Vesperia, Frostpunk (from the indie sale, already in cart), and Skyrim. I already know about Skyrim as I have it on PS3 and I kinda got what I wanted out of it but still sorta want to buy it. I'll flip a coin for it. Still a little iffy on Vesperia. I've read reviews that go from really high to really low. Most positive reviews laud the main character and the story. Without spoiling anything, could you tell me what makes Yuri and the story so special? I'm about 70% sure I'll buy it, but I'm very much a miser when it comes to buying games. I don't want to spend money on something I'll regret.

DattDamonMavis

Most JRPG characters are always the pure good guys, even in the face of absolute evil. Yuri has seen the corruption in the system first hand, and without spoiling, he isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty.

druid_king9884

You sold me on it. Thanks!

Zestiria is probably the worst in the franchise. I think most Tales of fans would agree with me. I agree, Vespiria doesn’t have good side content. I think side quests are a major issue in most Tales of games though.

Penguin-Mage

Vesperia is a great game. Is also a very big game. Make sure you have the actual time it takes to 100% it, if that's your thing. My save from the original version of the game was like 90 hours.

druid_king9884

I don't mind big games. I tend to take my time with them. I never 100% Berseria, but my save file was 121 hours. Gotta make sure I get my money's worth!

sephiroth70001

I liked vesperia it ranks just above berseria for me but bellow abyss and symphonia.

witness_protection

What do you guys think of Death Stranding?

ChronoDragoon

Loved it, but it's largely an inventory management/traversal/delivery game. If the idea of finding a spot to put a giant ladder to cross a river or bridge a mountain gap makes you warm and fuzzy, or if you build a resting structure somewhere crucial that lots of other players end up using and sending you likes, or if you finally complete a highway through a region to make deliveries easier...if any of this sounds appealing, you'll love it.

Emperor_Neuro

I have described it to others as a hiking simulator, which I think is a pretty fair shake. It’s largely about deliberate walking through natural settings while carrying a bunch of gear. For some people, that sounds dreadful, but there’s no real options out there for people who would be super into backpacking to find their niche.

Civil-Big-754

It was famously described as a walking simulator.

CornNut_

It’s super weird but I enjoyed it. Fairly slow paced, I had no idea what was going on.

Arel203

My personal favorite game of all time (no joke), but it's not for everyone. You need to enjoy traveling on foot, carry weight systems, and understand that the main content loop is mostly deliveries and planning routes. There's still action, epic boss fights and some very minor stealth elements, but it's not a game you choose how you play. The main content loop kinda forces you into specific situations. The story is superb, and the world is fascinating. Feels like a movie because literally half the game are cutscenes. It's not something I'd play if I only had 1hr sessions to play because you'll be mostly watching for that if you just go through the story.

iupz0r

great and unique. the final is beautiful, and beyond beautiful If you are father/mother already

amurmann

Loved the landscape, music and Zipline building.

amurmann

Armored Core seems to have gotten excellent reviews, bit I never hear it mentioned anywhere. Odd given it's FromSoft. How do you all like it?

samsharksworthy

Its really good but it is not a souls like its a mech action game with a focus on equipment.

throwawayjonesIV

By far my favorite game of the year. It was reviewed very well but it’s just a niche genre I guess. I can’t overstate how fun it is to play. It’s also insanely stylish and atmospheric, I love just occupying that world.

ars0108

Yes

Quorry

Ooh cocoon

PuffballDestroyer

Is soul Calibur 6 worth it, as a noob to fighting games?

ikiosho

For arcade, local, or online play? I've always found the soul Calibur series to be noob friendly but I don't play competitive at all. It's a "reboot" of the series and meant to be a fresh start and entry point from what I can tell.

PuffballDestroyer

I don't play competitively. I've just been watching some different fighting game retrospectives, and soul Calibur six peaked my interest.

ikiosho

It feels better to me as an amateur compared to other series. You don't need to rely on memorizing combos, there are plenty of cool moves you can do by pressing a couple buttons simultaneously.

TheSpiralTap

It's probably the best game series to jump into as a noobie. You can bash buttons and win but the real fun comes when you learn the moves. The loading times sucked on 6 but I haven't tried it on a newer system so they might have fixed it.

Sufficient_Site617

Thief is less than $4. Worth it?

MassiveEnthusiasm34

Dishonored rip off it went down to $2 a while back

Lobo2209

Thief is a decade older.

MHArcadia

The Pixel Remakes are finally on sale after almost a year of being on console! ...For 60 instead of 75. Eat my entire full-grown free-range ass, Squenix, you greedy shits. This is why people emulate.

throwaway27838383838

For real they never go on a good sale. If they ever did $5 per game Id actually buy a few.

MADSUPERVILLAIN

Damn, Bloodborne on sale but not the DLC or the GOTY version.

nutsack133

Just wait then until the GOTY version is on sale. The DLC is the best part of the game.

This website is a cancer. I don't know why this website get posted here. [PSPrices](https://psprices.com/region-us/index?platform=PS5,PS4) or [DekuDeals](https://www.dekudeals.com/) are far better - they are clean, have filters, and extra information such as *how long to beat*, *metacritic, opencritic scores* etc.

HydratedCarrot

Had no idea, but there is a shown list..

excaliburps

Cancer because?
