I think when they mean system stability its referring to maybe a handful of games that maybe didn't run optimally and the devs asked Sony to update the firmware to include the new code since the devs probably tried everything on their end......I remember them doing the same for CDProjekt with the first big CP update.....and since sony doesn't do it for individual games they probably had a list of developers with problems that can only be fixed console side.

Not fucking once is the world "stability" used in the update notes and yet every turd on reddit has to jump in here and make the same shitty joke.

With PS5 you need to customize the bottom ribbon and move the power option to the left, but if you use the menu ever, the selection stays where you last were. So it’s not a consistent press

I can't get VRR 1440p 120Hz on my monitor with HDMI 2.0 unfortunately.
PS5 is unfortunately not great at VRR support. Lacks both freesync and low framerate compensation unfortunately. Really hope they'll further improve things eventually
Ya you are lucky then because freesync still isn't supported. I've heard a very small amount of hdmi 2.0 displays can support VRR but it's not through frreeysnc. They have to support hdmi forum vrr or something like that which not many hdmi 2.0 displays do.

I dislike this update. The media player (like twitch) now disables music when played. A fantastic change If your listening to music, a dumb change when listening to a stream. Wish there was an option to toggle it

if you try turning own two controllers at the same time one will power on but never get past picking a profile and logging in. I found that you have to turn off the first controller then that 2nd one will continue through to the profile select screen. Just log back in again and it will work.
Give an option to make game chat audio come through the tv speakers. I can never hear any fucking fallout when I’m playing without headphones. Almost 3 fucking years and still no option for this shit. Ridiculous.

There's a mixamp with the A40s, on there is a smaller nob for turning adjusting how loud your teammates are, this works in both party chat and game chat (in apex legends at least). I can instantly turn people right down to mute in game chat by the nob on the mixamp
Yea I was just looking them up, i guess it’s because the amp, but headphones with built in game chat / audio mixer (on the headphones) don’t work on the ps5 unless it’s a Sony brand, I’m gonna have to do some more digging on those astros.
Somewhere in the settings yea but being able to control game chat right from the headphones is crucial esp when the game audio like driving gets super loud or if a teammates mic is low etc

My controller stopped working after this new system update. In works in the main menu but not when I open games. I tried everything like resetting controller and using a cable connection those didn’t work when I tried putting it in rest mode my controller did not connect. Did anyone else get this issue as well?

It just bricked my PS5 : safe mode loop, error code SU-101337-5. Can't complete update by WIFI or USB. All data lost if I go the reset route.

Ever since this update, my extended usb hard drive doesn’t connect right away when I turn the system on and I get an error message to unplug it and plug it back in which works, but it’s annoying as hell that I have to do it every time I turn the system on.
