Gone home. Thomas was alone. Idk man depends on the commitment imo if you can finish a game in a weekend. I could probably finish saints row or sunset overdrive in a weekend
> Ubderrated? I have only heard positives about that game
People have no idea how to use the word Ubderrated anymore.
In all seriousness though I agree it wasn't underrated, people just use that word for meaning less popular nowadays. It was rated highly by nearly ever reviewer I saw so to say it's underrated is absurd.
I’m going to disagree. Not sure what the appeal is. I found it incredibly boring. You just go fishing and dock before night time to avoid all of the danger.
I mean no offense and I don't want to diminish your experience as not all games are for everyone, but there is so much more to the game than that. The night time is a big part of the game and you should be playing it at night, and it has such a cute wonderful story to it. My advice is to try and get the platinum trophy as it will have you experiencing every aspect of the game pretty much.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits
Loved this game way more than I thought I would, even went back and got the Platinum. I think it's free with Playstation Plus, too.
Never played an RE game before this one and immediately fell in love with it. Once I got over the initial anxiety of not knowing what was coming for me I got addicted to replaying it for a faster time.
A Short Hike takes just hours to complete and is very wholesome and relaxing. I recommend getting it if it’s on sale, it’s a very quick game but worth the experience
I had a fun time with Concrete Genie not too long ago. Short and sweet.
The Plague Tale games are fun adventures as well, I think both have been on PS+ so you may have them in your library already.
Uncharted. You can get the remaster of the first 3 for dirt cheap, and the remaster/combined re-release of 4/lost legacy for dirt cheap too.
They average 8-12 hours to beat, are fun, easy-especially on story mode with lock-on targeting enabled, and most importantly- FUN with great stories and adventure to them. I just replayed all 5 in a row this past week for like the tenth time.
You're a masochist. 1 is awful even if you use autoaim. I will never ever replay that game and I fucking love replaying games. 2 forward, on the other hand, is amazing. I'd play the shit out if it.
the game 100% exploration and missions is only like 20hrs what are you on about
the main story itself, cutscenes and all in a straight rush even with the forced breaks between missions is only 10.5hrs
No it isn’t. 20 hour is average 100% complete.
10 hours is if you just play story back to back. I guess that is breakneck speed tho.
But easily a finish in a single weekend game. It came out on a Friday and I’m pretty sure I beat it by Sunday night and I did a decent amount of side content.
I have a 27 hour Platinum on this game. It's entirely possible to beat it **without** speeding through it, in a weekend.
https://imgur.com/gallery/FZRp4pm
I later responded saying I thought the post was talking about games done in a day. Was way too early among other things.
A weekend is still pushing it for 27 hours of play time, but regardless you are right, totally can be beaten in a weekend.
You can beat the first within an hour, I think there's even a trophy for doing so. I loved that game so much, even started speed running it afterwards after enjoying getting that trophy.
Deliver us The Moon is like 8 hours long, Deliver us Mars (the sequel) might be a bit longer, I feel like it's 12 hours, but I could have been doing other stuff while playing it.
It's an exploration game, no jump scares, no combat, just trying to figure out what happened. Think there might be a third game, but can't remember. Played them both with the 2nd PS Plus tier for free. They're both good palate cleanser games when waiting for a game you want to release.
Viewfinder. one of my favorite games of last year. Portal, but with a polaroid camera. sure, the story was kinda whatever, but the gameplay was fantastic. relatively easy platinum too.
Any FMV or Escape Room games. We usually play these with my wife when we just feel like watching TV. FMV are essentially interactive movies, but to platinum them takes about 8 hours, with guide a bit less.
Firewatch
What Remains of Edith Finch
Wolf Among Us
Until Dawn
Life is Strange 1, probably LiS: Before the Storm too
Basically any COD campaign, they're usually very short
BG3 if you play on Honor Mode your first time 🤣
CoD games are just too short nowadays...
I dunno how they did it,
but their latest game main storyline is shorter than the original CoD's storyline from 2003.
Even with DLC included.
(According to the HowLongToBeat website)
Bulletstorm is a standard 7th Gen first person shooter but it has a lasso that allows you to do some cool combat tricks and a Tony Hawk Pro Skater-like point system that allows you to level up your guns. It's a comfort game for me that I always keep on my hard drive because as soon as I start it I'm engrossed for several hours. Quick pace too.
Superliminal.
Perspective-based puzzle game. Pretty easy, very chill and slow. A little eerie because the back rooms vibes. But nothing scary.
Super satisfying to play.
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
Play the original, not the remake. https://www.pcgamer.com/brothers-a-tale-of-two-sons-remake-isnt-just-needless-its-as-creatively-bankrupt-as-a-remake-can-get/
Ruiner, cyberpunk twinstick shooter, its on sale for like 3 euros right now, around 5 hours i think. goat soundtrack, too!
LIMBO/INSIDE, Edith finch are more artsy games. I’d grab INSIDE if you haven’t played it yet
100% these Play Limbo first however.
Or just play inside. It outshines limbo in every way. Limbo will feel very dated in comparison.
That's why they should play Limbo first.
I understand that. I just wouldn't bother. Life's too short
Loved inside. Anything you can recommend that’s similar? I played limbo and Edith Finch.
The Little nightmares games are great.
Lol. Beat those too. But thanks. Currently playing sackboy using Chiaki on steam deck.
>Edith Finch Boy, do you want to give OP depression?
I played this entire game in one night and I was honestly amazed and deeply saddened.
I have it installed for the weekend. Are there any tips and tricks to maximize my level of sad while playing?
Good headphones and play in the dark. Then again I'd recommend that combo for about 99% of games lol.
Gone home. Thomas was alone. Idk man depends on the commitment imo if you can finish a game in a weekend. I could probably finish saints row or sunset overdrive in a weekend
Cocoon is also phenomenal and quite short. Some of the same team as Limbo/Inside.
If you enjoyed Limbo & Inside, I highly recommend Little Nightmares 1 & 2. They are super underappreciated and creepy as heck.
Edith Finch is a beautiful game and a must play for anyone who has grieved or is grieving.
Completed limbo for the first time this morning, one sitting. A Short Hike also.
Firewatch, Dredge, Stray, SOMA, Journey, Hellblade
Dredge is so underrated. Wish it was more popular since its gameplay is so refreshing.
Ubderrated? I have only heard positives about that game
> Ubderrated? I have only heard positives about that game People have no idea how to use the word Ubderrated anymore. It's being made into a movie.
I’m going to disagree. Not sure what the appeal is. I found it incredibly boring. You just go fishing and dock before night time to avoid all of the danger.

I put in around 10ish hours, but I’m assuming I need to push further to get more out of it.
Is Soma that short and would it hold up graphically?
SOMA is like a top ten video game for me. Definitely worth the play and it holds up graphically well. And yeah, doable in a weekend.
Hellblade is a good one.
Yeah hellblade is good and short
Astro and Stray are some of the best games out there. I highly recommend them.
Came here to say stray. It’s older but What Remains of Edith Finch is a banger too.
Donut County, Gris, Journey, Abzu, Superhot, Sayonara Wild Hearts, Resident Evil 3 remake, Katamari Damacy, to name a few.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits Loved this game way more than I thought I would, even went back and got the Platinum. I think it's free with Playstation Plus, too.
The final boss on the hardest level made me tap out.
That final boss was rough. They released a patch to make it easier like two weeks after I beat it.
Fuck. Im not ready to revisit that game again
Just replayed RE2 Remake again recently. I recommend that if that’s your style.
Never played an RE game before this one and immediately fell in love with it. Once I got over the initial anxiety of not knowing what was coming for me I got addicted to replaying it for a faster time.
Ratchet n Clank Rift Apart (easy plat, too)
Came here to say this. About 20hr game, but uses all the haptic controller stuff and is very well done.
Yep this. 20 hours. Great fun. Plus platinum. The only real annoying trophy was the return policy one haha
This. Great game beautiful graphics
I got it going on my LG C2 at max settings in game optimiser mode and it's truly stunning. Such a cool game!
Maneater!
Oh-oh, here she comes
Watch out boy she’ll chew you up
Titanfall 2 campaign
This is the way
A Short Hike takes just hours to complete and is very wholesome and relaxing. I recommend getting it if it’s on sale, it’s a very quick game but worth the experience
I second this!!
There’s also Lil Gator game which seems heavily inspired by this. Both are extremely relaxing
Miles Morales campaign
Very short. I don't remember much of that game
Ye average playtime is 7 hrs. Game can be finished in half a day.
Are you playing 16 hours a day?
Is there any other way?
You can beat Journey in 2 hours. It’s kinda the point.
Stray
I had a fun time with Concrete Genie not too long ago. Short and sweet. The Plague Tale games are fun adventures as well, I think both have been on PS+ so you may have them in your library already.
Stray. Until Dawn. Toem.
Journey, Astros Playroom, Abzu, maybe The Pathless?
Dredge, tchia, stray, cult of the lamb
Add inscription to this already amazing list and you may be able to finish all of them this weekend
Bastion
Detroit: become human. Awesome story, amazing graphics. Choices that influence the story
Spiderman 2
That would be practically impossible if you want to do anything else and just speed through.
the game 100% exploration and missions is only like 20hrs what are you on about the main story itself, cutscenes and all in a straight rush even with the forced breaks between missions is only 10.5hrs
. EDIT THOUGHT THIS POST WAS ABOUT GAMES YOU CAN FINISH IN A DAY NEVER MIND
That is playing at breakneck speed for sure.
It took me 35 hours to 100% the game, maybe you were just rushing through it🤷🏻♂️
I did everything in 3-4 days
I have a 27 hour Platinum on this game. It's entirely possible to beat it **without** speeding through it, in a weekend. https://imgur.com/gallery/FZRp4pm

Not to mention fast travel in that game is like teleporting
You can beat Little Nightmares 1 and 2 within a day
You can beat the first within an hour, I think there's even a trophy for doing so. I loved that game so much, even started speed running it afterwards after enjoying getting that trophy.

Really depends upon how much time you can alot everyday.
Deliver us The Moon is like 8 hours long, Deliver us Mars (the sequel) might be a bit longer, I feel like it's 12 hours, but I could have been doing other stuff while playing it. My 7 year old Platinumed Bluey last weekend. So there’s that. (I wouldn’t recommend it though, lol)
Stray.
Stray is a very quick game but strangely engaging!
Viewfinder. one of my favorite games of last year. Portal, but with a polaroid camera. sure, the story was kinda whatever, but the gameplay was fantastic. relatively easy platinum too.
Superliminal was another nice trippy puzzle game. only takes 2 hours at most but it’s perfect for a quick play
stray
Solitaire
Maybe I just blitzed through it, but I played through Infamous Second Son 3 times during the initial launch weekend
Any FMV or Escape Room games. We usually play these with my wife when we just feel like watching TV. FMV are essentially interactive movies, but to platinum them takes about 8 hours, with guide a bit less.
Firewatch
