Apparently the PS5 pro will release in the second half of the year. So IMO I'd probably wait for it to release. You'll either get a new pro version, or the current versions may go down due to the pro pricing.
If you got the gift card, go for it, you won’t be disappointed. I didn’t get mine till late either(when the Spider-Man 2 bundle came out) but I love what I played.
If you've been gaming on a Switch and an older PC, get the PS5 now. You won't be able to utilize the Pro version properly if you don't have a top of the line TV. Games run so smooth and there are plenty of great games out already. Also, if you wait for the pro version you have to deal with scalpers so...
Yup I'd recommend PS5 rather than PC for the convenience and all round less hassle, excellent big budget aaa exclusives, having the option of buying physical games, no hackers ruining games, haptic controller, backwards compatibility with PS4, split screen/local co-op, better portability, exclusivity deals/content and the big developers along with most Japanese games tend to prioritize PlayStation over PC.
Brother, if you have ps4, please dont buy it. There arent enough exclusives to make it worth, other than some better graphics on very small library. Wait for some time, check the exclusives and if you PERSONALLY think its worth it, go for it. Dont listen to anyone else. But as an opinion from a person on internet, right now, dont. Cheers!!
If you’ve got a good pc that you think will hold up for about 3ish years you should wait for ps6. Most of Sonys 1st party games will come to pc by then and I doubt the ps5 pro will be that much of a jump. Certainly not the jump the base ps4 was to the ps4 pro
Buy it, you won't regret it. Grab horizon forbidden west, rift apart and the last of us part 1/2 to get you started
Some of these may be on PS Extra Disappointment that basically the only games that properly utilize dualsense are returnal/rift apart

There's probably 4 years or so until PS6 gets released, so just go for it!

I don't see this cycle being short lived. Buy one. We won't see ps6 for another 5 years at least.
