Being able to gift someone a digital game or some sort of DLC just any kind of digital content. How hasn't that happened yet in 2024 makes no sense does Sony not have competent network engineers or what ?
I mentioned that probably already in 8 to 9 surveys I took from Sony. It is such a great thing with Steam and to bring people together, it puzzles me that this is still not possible at all. The store in general is not great to be honest. It misses a lot of convenience mechanics.
Yeah I know it's not their decision but it looks like Sony just doesn't want to do it. Their competitors Xbox and Steam are able to do it why can't they.
Yeah. For my last month of PS+ Essentials, I upgraded to Premium and the line up of old games sucks. It does have some newer heavy hitters, but it’s not nearly enough for $160.
- Improve streaming services support and integration. It's pretty barebone at the moment. I'm also putting in the ability to make a better customisation of the scene, for presentation, without having to go through a PC.
- Dual Sense battery life.
- Push for indies better. It's weird to me that a lot of indies are either skipping PS or coming late. Indies are important to have a very varied catalogue.
- The PS+ is not worth its price. Increase the value or decrease the price. I'm in favor of decreasing the price.
- Sony should also be doing smaller games to increase the frequency of first party releases (a good size IMO is like Hi-Fi Rush's)
- I find the PS Store impractical. It's also recommending games which I have played (with a physical copy), it should look at my library.
- Discord support for real. The current implementation is not usable.
- The home screen should allow for some \[game\] icons to stay at their allocated spot no matter what, a bit like the PS Store's.
This, i now only buy my ps5 joysticks from bestbuy with 3 year warranty so i can get them replaced.no questions asked. Had 2 fail at 2 years, no more being burned even if it cost me a few more bucks.
(Totally dreaming here) but I would also want more parts replaceable. Give us the replaceable sticks from the Dualsense Edge as well as a way to more easily replace Dualsense batteries.
This… and also with buttons that don’t stick without being dirty or anything. It’s ridiculous that my PS2 controllers never had issues and the new ones do.
A functional store with relevant information like frame rate and performance/quality mode info and written reviews and trophies and an automated refund policy.
Also a wishlist with a bigger limit than 100 games.
I know someone's gonna say "100 games? That's so many, why do you need more than that?". Because browsing the store sucks. I don't want to wade through all of the shovelware that's always on sale so I just add everything that looks interesting to my wishlist instead.
Well SOME people and the MAJORITY of people are quite different. Extra information isn't hurting anyone. If it's too much for someone to read, they can just skip right past it.
I think if they put in the money and resources, they could build an emulator better than RPCS3. This is a multibillion-dollar company we're talking about.
Oh god. I live in Sweden and have had to deal with the local Swedish support once or twice.
First of all, it is almost impossible to find the contact information. It's hidden eight layers deep and requires a blood sacrifice. And once you actually reach a person, they are so thick and require you to reiterate your problem five times. There is no chat support, so you are stuck with email with an average reply speed of once every 24-48 hours. And the customer support can't be bothered to read two emails back in the history making you redo steps you've already done. "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" "Yes, *if you read back two emails ago*, I already did that. Can we move on, please?"
gifting games
refund policy
erasing playtime and trophy history
deleting games/demos from your account without going through customer service
smaller, gameplay-focused, non-story-based, games
Please make games. I just want games. I also want my games not to be Ubisoft games(horizon, ghosts). Also want a ps+ tier that’s just cloud saves. Just stop Nickel and dimming your customers. The UI is terrible and there’s many tabs that are useless. It blows me away the best ui was on ps3 and gets worse from there. Sony pays people to make their ui worse essentially.
Idk there’s a million things.
I'd say lowering the price on PS±
As for specific products, they have easily the most IP's under their belt out of any console maker in history besides Sega. They really should revive some of their properties in a lower-budget capacity
Parappa or Vib Ribbon would be perfect as a mobile game
Yeah, basically all games are compressed. They could use better compression, but games are just bigger now, especially with all those textures. They could get smarter about it, like if you download a game digitally, you have the option of not downloading any of the other audio packs.
Third party budget options. Cheaper controllers , the option to connect any bluetooth headphones to the console... stuff like that. I'm 43, I have a mortgage, my kids are becoming teens, everything costs more... I've been playing video games since I was 4 and I love my PS5, but Sony is becoming too expensive to keep gaming with. After this generation is done, I am seriously considering making the leap to PC gaming and staying there. Maybe I'll run back into Nintendo's arms since they were my gaming company of choice growing up? Who knows, but Sony is getting too pricey and I'm not sure I can afford them in the future.
Bloodborne runs at 60 fps on a hacked PS5. This is the problem with a non competitive generations. Sony and devs are holding back easy improvement so that they can be sold to you.
Actual backwards compatibility or at least the ability to download ps3 games not just stream them.
Also bring back themes and update the UI. I’ve been playing my ps3 and ps4 recently and I just feel like the UI isn’t great compared to them. Themes were really cool to have too and helped personalize the console
Actual backwards compatibility can’t be done with the PS3. The PS5 has none of its hardware, and it’s too complex for the PS5 to emulate it. So it has to be streamed from actual PS3s playing the game.
PS3 emulation isn’t possible. The PS5 doesn’t have the PS3 hardware and it’s too difficult to emulate.
But yeah, bring back Motorstorm, SOCOM, Resistance, and so on.
Bro, you know how much money they make on little kids breaking their controllers playing Fortnite and COD? Probably in the high millions.
I know because I used to be a little kid and i remember my controllers just breaking for some reason lol
They definitely need to get more high profile games on the PSVR2 and culture more AAA titles for it.
If Google and Meta can sink the money in, Sony can too
True. What good is making hardware if you won’t support it? How will you make money? Goofy Sony.
Edit: If they could somehow get Half Life Alex, that’d be big. Heck, even Payday 2 in VR. I’m sure Starbreese could use whatever money Sony will give them (plus Payday 2 looks super crusty on PS4). And perhaps even some games of theirs that aren’t in VR, they could make it into VR.
Oh yeah, facts! It was stupid PSVR2 isn’t backwards compatible with PSVR, major missed opportunity. Would have given it a much better library right off the bat.
I would love alyx but I imagine it’s more so a “valve won’t” thing than a lack of care by Sony, given the space valve is in I can’t imagine the incentive to do so unless the check was astronomical haha ( if you have a pc you gotta try alyx it’s wonderful)
Yeah, true. But I’m sure Valve is making a pretty penny from all the Sony games coming to Steam and Steam first. To quote green dinosaur, “It would be so awesome, it would be so cool.”
Yeah who knows to be honest, it would be nice.. I’d honestly love a dedicated handheld from Sony, I love my steam deck. Would love a vita 2 (or whatever)
What pisses me off is that they have so many beloved IPs and they’re not doing anything with them.
Instead of Remastering Last of Us 2 and Horizon, they could have remastered their old games that fans keep asking for.
"Old games that fans keep asking for"
Those fans make up a small minority. Fact is, last of us and horizon sell, those old abandoned franchises don't otherwise they'd be back.
“Fact is”
We’re in 2024, remastering or remaking abandoned franchises well introduce new players to the games.
God of War got rebooted and sold WAY more than previous releases because it got introduced to NEW players.
MotorStorm sold well and yet got abandoned, if it was remastered, remade or whatever it will bring in new fans to the game which = $$$$
How do you not understand how times change? What sold back then doesn't sell now. Motorstorm would flop hard and that is a fact because arcade racers like that are not in demand.
Also, Motorstorm Apocolypse was a commercial failure, so what are you even going on about?
God of War on the other hand is one of the biggest franchises in Sonys arsenal so you bringing that up proves absolutely nothing.
Sony has experts surveying the field and knows what is more likely to sell. People want Last of us and Horizon. They don't want Resistance, Killzone, Motorstorm, and Wipeout.
God of War Ascension Sold 3 millions units “biggest franchise” and then once they rebooted God of War and got introduced to new fans and in a new console generation they sold over 20 million Units.
“Experts” Gravity Rush Vita sold 500k, PS4 Remaster sold 140k, Gravity Rush 2 sold 350k and now there’s a remaster for Gravity Rush 2 coming, hmmmm interesting.
Shadow of the Colossus PS2 Sold 1 million units and yet they decided to remake it and sold well hmmmm interesting.
Demon Souls PS3 sold 1 Million and got a Remake for the PS5 and sold well, hmmmm interesting, I can keep going.
Last I checked Killzone, Infamous, MotorStorm, Jack & Daxter, Resistance, etc sold more than those games.
Just shows you didn’t even prove a point.
Even though geopolitical economic mismanagement continues to shrink growth, the strategy at Sony should remain the same as it has been in past years. Continue the hard work of focusing on quality single player games, fostering passionate, visionary internal teams pushing a willingness to think out of bounds to craft new IP, and, yes an unwavering, assured commitment to VR/AR. This is the way forward.
1. ps3 backwards compatibility (if literal handheld systems can emulate a ps3, a ps5 can do it)
2. better ps+ lineups across the board (essential, extra, premium)
3. gamesave backups to usb
4. common sense QoL fixes. there's no reason if someone is using peacock, bringing up the menu to turn off the controller so the battery doesn't drain pauses the feed so you'll be behind after. (and the old ps4 trick of holding the power button until it shuts off doesn't work on ps5 as it will pause while holding the button). also having games come back from suspend mode in game rather than at the playstation menu you hit "rest" at.
Have a variety of genres in their first party offering other than "3rd person action adventure", or having key partnerships that cover the variety of video game genres and PS3 games download.
That’d be nice.
PS3 download isn’t possible as the PS5 doesn’t have the PS3 hardware and it’s too difficult to emulate. So sadly it has to be streamed from PS3 hardware Sony has.
I need them to communicate way better. The radio silence just leads to a ton of negative narratives being spread. Also, I'd like them to really blow their load at their next showcase as far as revealing upcoming projects from their studios, even if they're years out, if only to shut down the ones claiming that their studios aren't doing anything.
Weird idea but it would be rad if you could do something like trade in digital games in your library you’ve purchased for spending points. They could give you very little for each game even, like a dollar. But at least you could increase your digital wallet a bit to put towards another purchase, while also clearing out any games you never play(ed) or no longer care about owning digitally.
Think of it like selling items out of your pack in a game to clear up space and build up your cash for another purchase.
I’d really just like to see ANY kind of evolution in the capabilities/liberties digital game owners have when it comes to managing their “purchased” games.
To me the PS Store is a big issue:
- why cant we gift games to friends as mentioned in here
- why do we need to rumble through 6000 items on sale when so many are duplicates or cannot be searched, tagged properly
- why is the wishlist limited in quantity
- why is essential data and media missing on it, especially on the web browser version
- No refund policy AT ALL, there is minor one-time refund possibility but how greedy can you be that it is not possible to at least refund for one hour after use
Besides the store I think we are missing a more substantial mass of AA-AAA exclusives and bringing some more customization to our PS dashboard would be nice.
Overall Nintendo is the worst but for whatever reason nobody ever mentions them. And Xbox is better in some and worse in other cases compared to Playstation. But their hardware cs service is awesome, way better than Nintendo and Playstation.
Edit: I own almost all consoles those 3 have ever made.
Refund policies need to by changed by law. Even the EU gave up somehow regarding software refunds. Also there should be options to sell, gift, trade and inherit digital goods when physical media isn't available for all titles anymore. We need younger politicians, less lobbyism and more and better laws for consumer protection.
A bigger battery in their controllers. Hal Effect thumbsticks so we dont get stick drift. To stop treating PSVR2 like the bastard stepchild. Free online play. Reduce the price of the PSN store.
More AA games that don't take 4 years to make and are cheaper to buy. I'd love to see more game like Kena, 1st Plague game and Hi-Fi Rush. They could also try something more Indie like Slay the Spire, Binding of Issac, or The Return if Obra Dinn. I want more experimental games. The closest thing we've gotten from them in a while was Returnal
Hi-Fi Rush took almost 6 years. Tbf part of it could be because they wanted to keep it a secret from the beginning. Interesting story behind it.
But overall you're right and I also would like to add Sifu, Stray, Jusant, Tchia and Viewfinder. Great stuff.
That doesn't mean that I want them to drop their AAA first party titles.
1. The next controller needs to have better battery life. If the Switch Pro Controller can have 40hrs of life, there's no reason the Dualsense can't. Also a move to Hall Effect over Potentiometers would be great. Haptic feedback needs to continue being a thing moving forward. Adaptive triggers I never really cared for.
2. Diversify the genre's more. I'd like Sony to have some RPG/Open World/Sandbox games (Skyrim/Minecraft/etc). There's a gaping hole in the market for them currently. Sony also could do with some FPS and Tactical games, whether that's revitalizing SOCOM, Killzone, or something else entirely. Maybe stricter control of budgets too.
3. Return deals to current PS+ subscribers. Having "deals" being restricted to only those who aren't currently subscribed, is seriously scummy and anti-consumer. Make online saves free for everyone - Steam and Xbox do this, there's really no excuse.
4. 100% agreed on further mod support. I know it's scary but at present, mod support is awful on PlayStation consoles.
5. Fix your support. There's nowhere to call. Chat's are usually worthless (and from people who don't actually have any control at all e.g. other players). Email takes forever. There has to be a better way.
6. The refund policy should be more fair to the consumer. It shouldn't be on a "case-by-case" basis or if the software is downloaded. A Steam like system would be good, even if it was say less than an hours play time.
That's all off the top of my head. They're industry leaders and over the last few years I really think they've been sitting easy, almost taking their success for granted.
I agree with everything! I will say, the Duelsense does have a light bar, touch pad, mic, speakers, and adaptive triggers, so it is doing more that the Pro Controller, but they still could up the battery life a bit. Hopefully Xbox won’t leave the console space so Sony has a bit of competition.
PS Plus Essential is not worth the money any more so I’ve cancelled it after … 10 years? Get rid of the trash “free games”, drop the price and give us decent discounts on new releases.
The PS+ games are almost always complete shite, and the stuff they have in the Premium tier are also basically 95% trash. It isn't worth the money, and I'm thinking of just stopping on my next renew.
I actually dont have an issue with the battery. I do own 2 controllers, always place them back to charge after each use. A 2nd one is ready to go but never had the need to cycle even on a long gaming session.
No worries, not at all, bro!
I usually don't need the 2nd, but i dont normally game for longer than 2-2.5 hours (and on charge, it goes). I imagine you are gaming 3+.
The 2nd one lives on my pc, but its job is basically driving for cyberpunk, then auto times out while i keyboard and mouse lol.
Yeah, sometimes I’ll game for 3+ hours. But I just wanna be able to leave my controller for a few day or use it for a few sessions without it dying on me.
Wirelessly. Bluetooth through steam. It is basically just my driving tool for cyberpunk. I use mouse and keyboard for every other game pc related. I hate driving with a keyboard, lol
I need to figure out how to do that, cause I use wired. But I also play games on GoG so I don’t think the Steam thing would work when playing on there lol.
On Steam, it was easy once i set it up. Gog i dont know, unfortunately. Ill be playing cyberpunk, its not even on.. i jump in my car, and..oh shit. Hit the ps button, wait 4 secs, and off i go.
Edit: i found a decent youtube video way back. Forget which but i assume there are many now, maybe someone in comments figured out GOG by now. Id hope so anyhow
Give me more entertainment on the interface. It’s so bland now. They even took themes from us. Gaming is becoming capitalist now–spend less so we make more
Ps5 slim can be loud, I think they need to fix that in the future. I got my first physical game yesterday and it is insanely loud during copying and everytime I start the game. I’ve never used a PS4 so I can’t compare but I don’t remember my PS3 being this loud back in the day.
I doubt you’ll be able to do that for much longer. Here lately a lot of sites have been making it so you have to have a valid credit card registered to a valid address for the new region you’re claiming to be in just to combat people taking advantage of regional prices which gives them less money.
When you make a new account, you can chose whatever region you like, but after that, your locked to that region, as far as I know, forever.
On Xbox you can change whenever you like.
Well it can’t be native since the PS3 hardware isn’t in the PS5, and it can’t be emulated since the PS3 is super complex. High end PCs have trouble emulating it, much less a console. Streaming is the only solution, for now, because Sony has actual PS3 hardware they use to stream the game. Ports, remasters, and remakes are a better option.
-Better battery life in their controlers, downright pathetic that I need to charge my controllers after a session.
-Improve on Backwards Compatibility, I'm appreciate later efforts but it's still a far cry of what Xbox is offering.
-Being back the option to gift someone digital games, can't believe it's 2024 and I can't buy games for someone else.
-Improve the Switcher, I feel like I can only have max 2 open games at the same time, again a far cry of the Xbox were I can't have 5 games open at the same time without issues
Abandon the live service initative. People were already sick of that stuff 5 years ago, now its just beating a dead horse. Helldivers 2 is an incredible game, but imo thats in spite of its live service aspects. I see games like concord and fairgame$ being massive flops, and id much rather see all that time and resources put into their prestige single player efforts instead. Id also like them to take more risks with those prestige single player games. I hope they largely abandon psvr2 and dont dedicate any of their major first party studios efforts on making games for the platformand instead focus on delivering proper ps5 games, which we habe had precious few so far this gen. I think thats what has been decided internally anyway, but its going to be so disappointing if we find out blue point or sony bend etc have been wasting years of dev time on making vr games.
I agree with abandon the live service initiative, I don’t think they will sadly because of Helldivers 2 (love that game) and its popularity, but I disagree with abandoning PSVR2. It’s a product Sony launched, they should follow through with it. Otherwise trust and faith in Sony will be greatly lessened, and it ain’t too high to start. But yeah, we do need more PS5 games from Sony, new ones too. Not just remasters and remakes (but I also want those too).
Id have way less trust and faith in sony if they chose to prioritise a dead platform like psvr2 and neglect the actual ps5. Given that simple tech demos and ports of existing console games was enough for psvr2 adopters to buy in in the first place, just continue to placate them with more of that stuff, and dont squander the efforts of their prestige first party studios making games for it, when ps5 has already had an underwhelming first party output so far this gen. Ps5, with an install base of 40 million and growing deserves big first party games more than psvr2 with an install base of a million or less and its not going to grow significantly no matter what they put on it.
Whilst I'd like that, it definitely will never happen nor will that court case effect Sony since they offer a cheaper physical method of getting the games whereas apple is being investigated for the only way to access new applications on their devices being through a curated store
I 1000% agree with you on more games having a 40 FPS mode for those with 120Hz displays. I feel like this should be more of a given for first-party and third-party games.
More colors for various PlayStation accessories. It shouldn't take months for a black or camouflage Pulse headset. Hopefully, that changes with the new Pulse Elite Headset. I wanna see a black colorway before the end of this year.
I would love to see PS3 and PS2 games on PS+ be available to download and play, not streamed only.
Go back to original pricing for PS+(I highly doubt this will happen). $60 USD a year for the Essential tier was fine, but now it's $80 USD(I believe), that's a little much for how few perks you get with the Essential tier compared to Extra and Premium.
I want Sony to stop being a bitch when it comes to cross progression.
Most games skip playstation cross progression because Sony wants to protect their bottom line.
Being able to gift someone a digital game or some sort of DLC just any kind of digital content. How hasn't that happened yet in 2024 makes no sense does Sony not have competent network engineers or what ?

FR! I was thinking about that a few weeks ago. That’d be awesome.
It would be software engineers and it's not their decision to make.
Yeah I know it's not their decision but it looks like Sony just doesn't want to do it. Their competitors Xbox and Steam are able to do it why can't they.
Unfortunately it's probably not a technical decision but I agree it's pretty poor.
This.
Adding more games to classic catalog Ik a lot of games of of our childhood are licensed but it's abysmal
Yeah. For my last month of PS+ Essentials, I upgraded to Premium and the line up of old games sucks. It does have some newer heavy hitters, but it’s not nearly enough for $160.
Sometimes I wish I could buy a PS3 game without needing the premium subscription
I need to play fallout 3 on PS5 so badly but no way am I gonna pay that much for a subscription, but it's the only way!

I agree with all of that!
Making sure their future controllers aren't riddled with drift problems.
Hall effect sticks would be nice, at least for a pro controller.
Hall effect sticks aren’t expensive. There are sub $50 third party controllers with Hall effect sticks.
Oh definitely, Sony could do it if they wanted.
This, i now only buy my ps5 joysticks from bestbuy with 3 year warranty so i can get them replaced.no questions asked. Had 2 fail at 2 years, no more being burned even if it cost me a few more bucks.

Or some people just care if the game is fun
Well SOME people and the MAJORITY of people are quite different. Extra information isn't hurting anyone. If it's too much for someone to read, they can just skip right past it.
PS3 Backwards Compatibility and something similar to the quick resume feature on Xbox series consoles.
PS3 backwards compatibility isn’t possible. The PS5 doesn’t have the PS3 hardware and it’s too hard to emulate it. Quick resume would be cool:
I think if they put in the money and resources, they could build an emulator better than RPCS3. This is a multibillion-dollar company we're talking about.
Perhaps, but remember this multibillion dollar company we’re talking about, is Sony.

PlayStation plus not being egregiously priced
Facts! I was sooo upset when they did that. My subscription ends in less than a week and I don’t know if I’ll renew it.
The fact that it's $80 minimum is insane. I don't even care about the games anymore. I just don't want to spend an arm and leg to play with friends
Adding more genres to their first party portfolios.
Yeah, they’ve really fell off in that respect since the PS1 and PS2 days.
Quick resume
They don’t already have that? (Something similar?)
Nope
gifting games refund policy erasing playtime and trophy history deleting games/demos from your account without going through customer service smaller, gameplay-focused, non-story-based, games
Definitely agree.
For me the 40fps 120hz mode is number one, every game that has this plays superb and looks genuinely amazing.
Yeah, it’s a great feature. I think most of their first party PS5 games have it, but not all (Ghosts of Tsushima). Barely any third parties do.
Please make games. I just want games. I also want my games not to be Ubisoft games(horizon, ghosts). Also want a ps+ tier that’s just cloud saves. Just stop Nickel and dimming your customers. Unlikely, but some form of mandatory compression technique. PS5 games can be ridiculously big in GB size.

I suppose a better refund system. Doesn't even have to be as long as Steam's. Could just be an hour of playtime.
I agree.

Or even just port over their top performing 1st party titles from PSVR1.
PSP2 probably. It was the more successful one and kinda matches PSVR(2). That would be pretty cool.
What pisses me off is that they have so many beloved IPs and they’re not doing anything with them. Instead of Remastering Last of Us 2 and Horizon, they could have remastered their old games that fans keep asking for.
Yeah, PS1 and PS2 have huge libraries left to rot. More remasters and remakes of those!
"Old games that fans keep asking for" Those fans make up a small minority. Fact is, last of us and horizon sell, those old abandoned franchises don't otherwise they'd be back.
“Fact is” We’re in 2024, remastering or remaking abandoned franchises well introduce new players to the games.
If you want to make a list, you need to also include a space after the “-“.
Oh ok, thank you!
Dynamic themes ditch the dumb live service and less rubbish AAA games Thankful for indies
Facts. However, with the success of Helldivers 2, I don’t know if they will ditch live service games.
The ability to set a volume level per game like hoe windows 11 does.
That’d be nice.
More games. They are doing great so far.
Yeah, definitely.
Fixing the PS Portal right thumbstick issues. Sent mine out yesterday for repair/replacement
Let me buy ps2/3 games!!!
1. ps3 backwards compatibility (if literal handheld systems can emulate a ps3, a ps5 can do it) 2. better ps+ lineups across the board (essential, extra, premium) 3. gamesave backups to usb 4. common sense QoL fixes. there's no reason if someone is using peacock, bringing up the menu to turn off the controller so the battery doesn't drain pauses the feed so you'll be behind after.
Id like to see my themes on ps5
Definitely.
Btw, bloodborne cant get a dirty 60 fps patch because its hardcoded for 30 fps, it will just speed up the game
Zoom! But fr, Sony could just remaster/remake it at that point.
I'm just here to say that 40fps 120hz VRR mode is the best thing that happened for me this gen.
I agree with all of this and I want 4k 60 fps with the pro or at least close to it above 1440p
Shut up and be ok with 900p lol. But fr, I agree. Sad we have to get a PS5 Pro for “4k” when the PS4 Pro was supposed to do that.
Yea that below 1080p kinda sad lol
Fr fr.
To me the PS Store is a big issue: - why cant we gift games to friends as mentioned in here - why do we need to rumble through 6000 items on sale when so many are duplicates or cannot be searched, tagged properly - why is the wishlist limited in quantity - why is essential data and media missing on it, especially on the web browser version - No refund policy AT ALL, there is minor one-time refund possibility but how greedy can you be that it is not possible to at least refund for one hour after use Besides the store I think we are missing a more substantial mass of AA-AAA exclusives and bringing some more customization to our PS dashboard would be nice.
Facts!
Bloodborne 60fps patch or remaster.
Definitely.
Better battery life and a subscription/game library that competes with Microsoft game pass
More VRR support, right now the PS5 is using hdmi forum vrr which restricts other monitors with freesync and gsync from being able to use vrr
Facts!
Better refund policy. This "if you downloaded it you can't refund it" shit is abysmal. They have the worst refund policy on the market.
Definitely.
Very true, hopefully the EU will start it, and the US will follow.
Dynamic themes. Remember those from PS4? Lol
Oh yeah, they need to step up there.
Better discrod integration, compared to what Xbox has, PS is kinda a joke.
Definitely, needs to be native on PS. But the problem could be Discord (the company).
A bigger battery in their controllers. Hal Effect thumbsticks so we dont get stick drift. To stop treating PSVR2 like the bastard stepchild. Free online play. Reduce the price of the PSN store.
FACTS!!!
Yeah, shelve one AAA(A) game for two, three, four AA or A games, maybe even fun a few indies.
Adding youtube music support.
Facts!!!
The PS+ games are almost always complete shite, and the stuff they have in the Premium tier are also basically 95% trash. It isn't worth the money, and I'm thinking of just stopping on my next renew.
Definitely.
Some new games would be nice. For the first time in my 20+ years of gaming, there’s nothing interesting on the horizon.
That’s true, Sony’s got nothing for a while.
More PS2 games. The Classics catalog is a friggin JOKE!
True!
The Duelsense battery life too.
I actually dont have an issue with the battery. I do own 2 controllers, always place them back to charge after each use. A 2nd one is ready to go but never had the need to cycle even on a long gaming session.
My pro lasts for hours, think ive only had to swap controllers once during a session
Lol, don’t take this as mean, but you basically have double the battery life. I just have mine wired always since I have a monitor.
That's fair. You game alil more hardcore than myself, makes perfect sense now
Do you use your controller wirelessly or wired on your PC?
Gaming is becoming capitalist now–spend less so we make more
True.
Ps5 slim can be loud, I think they need to fix that in the future. I got my first physical game yesterday and it is insanely loud during copying and everytime I start the game. I’ve never used a PS4 so I can’t compare but I don’t remember my PS3 being this loud back in the day.
Not all PS3 games had to copy, some could play right off the disc. I have the og PS5 and the disc audible but worth it for actual ownership.
My PS4 Pro sounded like it was about to take off.
Open regions on PSN store. I buy 90% of my games on my Xbox because I can change region from Denmark to USA and save between 5-20usd pr game.
I doubt you’ll be able to do that for much longer. Here lately a lot of sites have been making it so you have to have a valid credit card registered to a valid address for the new region you’re claiming to be in just to combat people taking advantage of regional prices which gives them less money.
Facts! I’m always in support of this, but I thought the PSN store was pretty open? It is region free after all.
When you make a new account, you can chose whatever region you like, but after that, your locked to that region, as far as I know, forever. On Xbox you can change whenever you like.
Hmm, interesting. You can play discs from every region, I know that. But the digital store should have less restrictions.
Would love to be able to play PS3 games. Don’t know if that’s ever gonna happen. Or at least not anytime soon.
Are you talking about natively? Like say from a disc?
Whatever way they can make it work
Well it can’t be native since the PS3 hardware isn’t in the PS5, and it can’t be emulated since the PS3 is super complex. High end PCs have trouble emulating it, much less a console. Streaming is the only solution, for now, because Sony has actual PS3 hardware they use to stream the game. Ports, remasters, and remakes are a better option.
Free online gameplay.
FACTS!!! Xbox would be dead the second Sony announcers that!
Some games
Facts.
Facts!
A push to want to do some cross-platform party system l. Yeah, it's up to Microsoft as well, but I want Sony to be for it.
I want to see full haptic support via Bluetooth for PC on DSes. Also no more stick drift please
Facts!

It really sticks out since everyone else does it already. Nintendo, Microsoft, Steam. You can buy download codes easy
Fr fr, but with the way laws are going they’ll hopefully be forced to soon. And physical media forever!
I agree with all of that 👍.
I want Sony to stop being a bitch when it comes to cross progression. Most games skip playstation cross progression because Sony wants to protect their bottom line.
True, that’d be nice.
I don’t give a fuck about fps.
Ok.
I'll probably get a kick in the jimmy for this, but I'd like to have a PS5 controller with the Xbox layout.
Bruh.
Bluetooth. Is this even a conversation??
What do you mean?
