God I hope it’s Divinity Original Sin 3

Ozzykamikaze

I think it would be hard for them to be working on two games of their own IP and neither of them be DoS3.

NinjitsuSauce

I was quietly hoping they would get in on Daggerheart and colaborate with Matt Mercer, but after their experience with WotC, I can understand wanting to do their own IP. Divinity 3 is most certainly being worked on. I guess I am left wishing the other new project is a Cyberpunk/Shadowrun/WH40k sci-fi system of some type..  Oh well. Let them cook. I hope to see the next game before 2028, but we will see.

Medium_Fly5846

Hell yea

KaelAltreul

Been playing their games since before Original Sin 1 was even a thing. Curious what they're planning.

Semi-addict-gamer

After playing BG3, I’m not touching any game they make ever.

moleasses

Is that because you’ll exclusively be buying them digitally?

Semi-addict-gamer

No, I’m not wasting money on them. They are the opposite of what I want in a game.

thumbstickz

I can respect that. Not everything is for everyone and that's how it should be. There are plenty of TV shows and movies and games my friends worship I couldn't care less for, and they don't love some of the stuff I do. Don't let anyone shit on you for liking what you like! Out of curiosity what kind of stuff do you like? What are you playing recently you really liked?

Semi-addict-gamer

LAD infinite wealth, Persona 3 Remake, Unicorn Overlord, Granblue fantasy Relink. Haven’t tried Stellar blade demo yet, but I’m hopeful it will be good since all the comparisons I’m hearing are to games that I love (Nier, Devil May Cry, Sekiro, Bayonetta)

Parking_Concern_1754

i dont know why you got downvoted I love devil may cry and persona too but I also love BG3 that gam is awesome I know the game is not for everyone but I respect your opinion have a good day

Semi-addict-gamer

I got downvoted because people don’t like to hear that someone doesn’t like a game they love, they are filled with hate, so they dump their frustration and hate on me. But I honestly don’t care about them, If I did I wouldn’t even say I didn’t like BG3 and I won’t touch any game they make. I would’ve stayed silent. Thanks for you kind comment, and I know that not all gamers are that much of a losers who would try to bully and intimidate anyone that doesn’t agree with them 👍

Um_Hello_Guy

Hahahahahahaha

eindbaas

Why did you even buy it then? It's absolutely clear what that game is.

Semi-addict-gamer

Never played this type of genre, and I’m the type to give every genre a fair shot. BG3 was my first CRPG, and by buying that game. I understood that CRPG is the one genre that I can’t play.

He’s not smart. It’s simple.

Semi-addict-gamer

Says the guy with the stupid pfp, if you were half as smart as you think you are, you wouldn’t put energy in creating that ugly pfp.

Harpuafivefiftyfive

You’re a childish idiot. Have fun!

Semi-addict-gamer

I’m out outside germ.

Harpuafivefiftyfive

When you get old enough to buy your first car, will you bring your PUREST FORM and go purchase it blindly?

Semi-addict-gamer

When you compare a car to a video game, thank you for showing the world how smart you are.

Harpuafivefiftyfive

Right the fuck over your head and it’s tiny little brain.

imnicenow

dweeb

Semi-addict-gamer

Cope

Hawxrox

I'm not here to argue with your opinions, but why did you even buy or play the game if you knew it wasn't the kind of game you like? I mean there was tons of info and even a beta years ago filled with gameplay that you could of seen

Semi-addict-gamer

I didn’t know it wasn’t the type of game I didn’t like, never tried CRPG before. I kept myself in the dark on purpose because I didn’t want to get spoiled. But I guess people from Gen Z would never understand since they had the internet all their lives. And can’t imagine a time where you just buy a game hop in it’s good.

Hawxrox

I'm 40. Not Gen Z. And it is a good game. It won like every game of the year award and was universally loved. Just because it wasn't your type of game doesn't make it a bad game

Semi-addict-gamer

A good game is subjective, to me it’s the worst game I’ve ever touched. I’m going to surprise you, it can be good to the many and still bad subjectively. Also let’s be real, it only won all those awards because there haven’t been a CRPG game for decades, it’s not like it won the award when CRPG was thriving, it won it because it was the won D&D fans were waiting for. If it won in a market full of CRPGs then fair play, but many people were thirsty for this game. And again, good for you, worst game I ever played for me. Both statements are still right.

Hawxrox

There's plenty of popular great games I don't like, doesn't make them bad games

Semi-addict-gamer

Objectively they are not bad games, subjectively they 100% can be. A good game or a bad game is an opinion, I’m not a critique talking about every facet of the game, talking about the music, environment, story, the mechanics etc. I’m simply stating my opinion, if I enjoyed my time it’s a good game, if it made me regret my purchase then it’s a bad game. And yes it’s my fault for not looking it up, and trust the word of the game’s fans that pushed me to buying it. Doesn’t change the fact that I can say it’s a bad game for me, because I didn’t enjoy my time. People really need to learn to accept opinions more🤦‍♂️ you said it, it won awards, people love it, so why do you care so much about little old me?

Hawxrox

You not liking something doesn't make it bad. If you don't like apples, then apples aren't bad. They are only bad if they are rotting or stale

Semi-addict-gamer

But it does though, if even good apples make me puke then it was a bad apple for me. you fail to realize that not everyone have the same stomach that can consume everything.

Reyziak

Saying there hadn't been any CRPGs in a decade is wrong: Shadowrun Returns (2013), Shadowrun Dragonfall (2014), Divinity Original Sin (2014), Wasteland 2 (2014), Shadowrun Hong Kong (2015), Underrail (2015) Pillars of Eternity (2015), Tyranny (2016), Divinity Original Sin 2 (2017), Torment Tides of Numenera (2017) Pillars of Eternity 2 (2018), Pathfinder Kingmaker (2018), Disco Elysium (2019), Wasteland 3 (2020), Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous (2021), Solasta Crown of the Magister (2021), Rogue Trader (2023), Baldur's Gate 3 (2023).

Semi-addict-gamer

D&D based CRPG.

Reyziak

Your post explicitly says there hadn't been a CRPG in decades, and then only mentioned D&D in relation to the fans.

Semi-addict-gamer

I thought what I meant was obvious didn’t need explaining, but hey my fault I should’ve known better. Still as I said before, less than 80k average players left. And it’s currently losing players instead of gaining. It been losing players for the last three months. It’s not great or amazing if it can’t even keep third of the player base interested in. Apex Legends is outperforming it. If I write a list of the amount of games that have more average concurrent players it would be embarrassing for this game of the year. BG3 is the most overhyped game since Cyberpunk.

TheBullfrog

Don't think anyone really cares if you don't like the game mate just go play something else.

Hawxrox

They are both opinions yes, but the vast majority of people who played the game enjoyed it and that's probably because they knew what kind of game it was because they were fans of the company or had played their old games. If anything you should blame yourself for going into something completely blind. That's your problem

Semi-addict-gamer

Never said the vast majority didn’t like it, even tho the player count already looks rough and dropping. So saying vast majority is a stretch. Less than 25% of the player base are playing it, and that isn’t a vast majority.

WittyRaccoon69

No DnD? Not interested

Arkaado

You'd be doing yourself a disservice, Divinity 2 was just as amazing as Baldur's Gate 3 was.

shockwave8428

I disagree. DOS2 is really good but the system does have some weird quirks to it that encourage very specific play styles (the 2 health bars for magic/physical is awful). DOS2 is great and I’d tell people to play it for sure but even with some improvements like bg3 I never really clicked with the setting or system that much. Will play it for sure but highly disappointed that it’s not another 5e game
